Hi Melissa,

Thanks for writing, and sorry for the delay in my response! Between the wedding, the honeymoon, moving to Georgia from New Jersey, new job, new home and everything else, my world has been as fun as, and moving as fast as a roller-coaster.

Still in my quiet moments, I can sit back and think about Hawaii and that helps me to slow down!!!! we had such a fabulous vacation. Jason and I can say without hesitation that it was our best trip ever.

First of all, we flew into Oahu, and forgot the rest of the itinerary at home. We didn't even know what airline would take us to maui for the start of our vacation. We called Vanessa thinking she could give us some detail by phone. Instead, she insisted on meeting us at the airport with printed copies - in toady's world of travel - WHO DOES THAT??????? We were sooo impressed, not only did she meet us, she greeted us with leis and the printout and gave us driving and restaurant tips. She was absolutely incredible every step of the planning and during our stay.

Per Vanessa's recommendation, we told the resort that we were honeymooners and asked for an upgrade, they searched and searched and didn't have much available - we had an ocean suite, and they were looking for a deluxe ocean suite for us. No luck with that, so the attendant at the front desk spoke to the manager for a moment and to our shock, gave us the keys to THE IMPERIAL SUITE, the best room in the hotel. I mean the best one!!! For the $300 or so that we paid, we got about 2300 feet of space!!!! 4 or 5 balconies, kitchen, jacuzzi, huge bed, 2 living rooms, formal dining room, tremendous walk-in closets, top floor, complimentary champagne and snacks, priority treatment anywhere we had to give our room number (ha ha ha), and the fantasy just kept getting better!

Just amazing! Right on the beach, and the restaurants, pools, and ambience on the premises left us not needing to go out much. We went to the harbor for parasailing (first time ever) and it was breathtaking, but it wasn't a wild scary event at all, it was the most tranquil feeling, as though we just floated into the sky and stayed there - sooo cool.

We went jet-skiing (frst-time ever) right in front of the hotel next door, and that was incredible. We tried to be cheap and just got one pair of goggles for the driver...we should have both gotten them as it was so windy and the person on the back had to squint most of the time - still a great time though!!

We did the road to Hana on our own with a CD that we found in the rental! and it was soo much better than the tour bus. We could stop when we wanted, go when we wanted, travel off route, whatever! It was great! We continued on the the 7 pools and swam there - oh my goodness - just talking about it is giving me a new energy on this dreary Friday!!!

We did the Feast at Lele! Well worth every penny. The food was -oh my gosh-, and there were mostly couples there, so it was very romantic. We passed another luau that seemed to have a lot of families, and while I'm sure it was great - I think Lele's was a little more intimate and better for honeymooners. We got a parking ticket for parking in a seemingly available lot with not much signage - but all else was fabulous!!

Then it was back to Oahu. Our plan was to spend the time on Maui exploring and getting around, and the time on Oahu relaxing and honeymooning, so we did less on that island. We did a dinner cruise (don't remember the name - you probably have it on our file) which was fun, again, intimate, lots of couples, they even called us to the stage to dance! Food was pretty lousy, but that didn't taint the experience at all. Incredible sunset! Afterward we drove to Waikiki and went clubbing - fun, fun, fun.

We had a couple's massage at the hotel spa. Again the hotel was wonderful. We stayed in a beach cottage which although ajoined to others felt like your own private world. The private lanai with rocking chairs were nice and the view of the ocean was incredible, and there were hammocks right in front of the rooms. We were a little disappointed because we thouht there would be beach within walking distance but it wasn't at all. It was definitely Ocean view, but not beach front. It was all full of rocks and corals and you couldn't get past that - way too dangerous to be out there with the strong currents - although believe me, we tried for a while - ha ha ha! Anyway, the great beaches were only a couple minutes drive in either direction, so we checked them out, but not the same as being able to walk from your room - ya know? we ate at a few local spots like the shrimp trucks - soooo delicious!

Anyway, I think I've rambled enough, just can't help it, we had such a blast!!! Your team was extremely helpful, there's no doubt we'd book with McCoy again. Thanks for following up. Thanks Vanessa for everything from the wedding card to the leis to just being as wonderful as you are.

Sincerely,
L & J Brown
