testimonial to Faye’s work with us:
of a saint when I changed my mind a thousand times on the dates and
the
location I wanted, to her resourcefulness in finding and securing the
very best
deals for us, to her quick responsiveness to my thousand emails and
phone calls,
her sensitivity, humor and kindness to my frantic rush to secure our
honeymoon,
Faye worked a miracle on the very, very limited budget my fiancé
and I had, and
had us upgraded to the very best-overwater bungalow lagoon with VIP
status, in
order to make our dream honeymoon in Tahiti come true! If this isn’t
a happily

were told we couldn’t go. In our rush and excitement to go to
Tahiti, my husband
and I did not read all the paperwork McCoy Travel had sent to us and
we failed
to read a very important direction – I needed to get a visa to
travel to a French
territory, namely Tahiti. I am not a US citizen yet (my husband is)
and I
unfortunately did not get the French visa, as was required. We found
this out told
as we were checking in at Tahiti Nui airline. I screamed and cried.
And my
husband tried to reason as best as he could. Understandably, we could
do
nothing to bypass the security and France’s travel policy. As
we both moped and
cursed, we called Faye to tell her what happened. Although it was a
Sunday,
Faye responded immediately! Faye lent us the calmness and guidance we
both
needed to get back to our “happy” honeymoon moment and worked
with us
(even though she didn’t need to) to push the Tahiti trip to another
date that will
allow me to get the visa I need to go to Tahiti.
facing losing our entire trip altogether. Faye researched and jumped
through
numerous hurdles (I have all the email and correspondence with her as
proof) to
perform miracles to reschedule our trip without much penalty. She is
a miracle
worker! After it was rescheduled, Faye was still with us every step
of the way to
make sure I have all the paperwork (hotel accommodations, proof of airline
tickets, health insurance, paystubs, etc.) required by the French consulate,
which
was quite demanding in itself. When it was all said and done, I received
my visa
to Tahiti and we were set with our 2nd attempt to our honeymoon in Tahiti.
up for us were flawless! From the flights to the hotel transport, to
the leis and
honeymoon accommodations, to the honeymoon upgrade of staying on the
overwater bungalow junior suite was perfect. And as a result, it gave
us, to quote
my husband, “the time of our lives!”
multitude of street dogs everywhere that were sick, starving, injured.
My husband
and I bought dog food and fed every dog we could find (which there were
plenty
of) everyday that we were there. This was the only thing that we did
not expect.
Dogs lie sick and dying as pedestrians stepped over them as though they
didn’t
exist. It was very sad, particularly since the locals seemed to have
plenty to
share. Apathy for street dogs that needed compassion and food was definitely
lacking. For amateur tourists like me, it would be good to get this
type of
information so we are shocked and grieve at a shorter time and will
be more
ready to be pro-active and help at a faster rate for the duration we
are there. In
addition to feeding the street dogs, we also discovered new worlds underwater,
as we dove off from our bungalow, went diving, scootered in Moorea,
explored
and bought pearls I will treasure forever at the Black Pearl Market,
and enjoyed
the best sunrise and sunsets ever! If we can share anything to future
Tahiti
travelers, it would be this…Please bring or purchase dog food
with you to
share some comfort and joy to all life as you enjoy the comfort and
joy the
island brings to you, and please use Faye - the best travel advisor
in the
world!
