Asking us what our single favorite part of the Fiji Resort was is difficult to answer; there were so many things.  First of all, we greatly appreciated the help of Robin during the process.  She asked many questions to glean from us what our expectations/desires were.  I felt that she was being entirely honest and forthright, and for that we're grateful.  Kudos to you and your staff.

As for the Fiji resort, it is one of the rare few places that I can say was exactly like the pictures.  It exceeded our expectations in every way.  We loved getting to know the staff; we have several pictures with them.  With the size of the resort we were able to learn their names and they learned ours.  The bures (we had a deluxe beachfront) were wonderful; being from Wyoming in the United States, we especially enjoyed the opportunity to shower outside!  We even purchased the oil they burned in the bure so we could take a bit of it home with us.  From the accomodations to the outstanding service to the food, my wife and I have only positive things to report.  Again, credit goes to Robin and the staff there at McCoy Custom Travel.  We even had Ron give us his cell phone number to use while there just in case anything was not to our liking.  We could have never picked such a nice place without your help.  Visiting the other islands in the area only made us happier that we chose this Fiji Resort; it is second to none. We also enjoyed the service at the airport with Rosie's.  All the transfers were enjoyable and nice to experience.  I especially loved the opportunity to use the lounge at the Nadi airport; very relaxing and a nice change to my typical airport experience. 

There is nothing but positive to say about McCoy Custom Travel, Rosie's and the Fiji Resort.  But if you ask me to pick ONE thing that we like the best, I believe it would have to be the resort staff.  They were so solicitous of our every need; we felt like they really did care how our day went.  One day, my wife didn't feel so well.  At dinner, they accommodated her request for a fruit platter without question or complaint.  And for the next 2 days, almost every body we met asked her how she was doing.  That was very impressive to both of us.  We really felt a part of the resort even though we only stayed 1 week. 

We would most definitely use McCoy Custom Travel again, Melissa.  It was a truly magical honeymoon experience.  We're proud and happy to say we chose Fiji.

We indeed had a great time in Fiji (when we FINALLY got there).
We finally got to Fiji resort and this is the kind of resort that we prefer! We loved the bures, the food, the owners (and their long time friends) and all of the staff. We would recommend this resort to adventure travelers, eco travelers especially. They owners have strived to make this island truly a low impact environmentally friendly resort destination. Joan is quite passionate about it- GO JOAN! We were only able to get one day of diving in (I got the flu and cyclone FUNA came by) but it made us want to come back so we can do more next time. We have talked to them since the last cyclone but they did not fare as well. They had 100 year old trees come down so I don't know their status as of late. We hope the best for them. We would DEFINITELY return to their resort- A+

After leaving (sadly) we flew from Savu Savu to Suva. That was the most beautiful flight I think I have ever been on! I would recommend booking that flight for clients if they are changing locales. Stunning! I must say  that all of the local transfers went smoothly. We realize that it is not easy to get from A to B sometimes but everything from taxis, boats etc. went fine. Thanks! We also didn't realize the distances between resorts, islands, etc. We arrived at the next Fiji Resort with a warm Fijian welcome and of course immediately fell in love with this resort as well. They also strive to keep this resort eco-friendly. The bures are extremely roomy and very comfortable- you couldn't want anything else! Again, the resort, staff, food were all great. We did two days of diving here (again not enough). But again we would return to this resort as well. I would recommend this place to eco travelers and especially to those who want to REALLY experience the Fijian culture. In the 4 trips that we have now taken in Fiji, this was by far the one that we have gotten the most culture from. They really stress this which is nice. Again, had to hold back the tears leaving.

I HIGHLY recommend doing the white water rafting on the Navua river. We have done WWR in other countries but this river was the most stunning we have done! Let me know if I can further comment- again we had a great trip, we would repeat it over again, Robin was very helpful in booking everything, a big VINAKA!

Our trip was amazing! The Fiji resort catered to our every need, we were completely pampered! Everything went very smoothly. We experienced flight problems on the trip home but it was due to late planes and could not have been prevented. Air Pacific got us on a flight with Air New Zealand and they were very accommodating. 

The Fiji Resort had excellent food, accommodations and staff! We have absolutely no complaints! The diving was perfect and the diving crew taught us alot of things we did not know. This resort is the perfect place for quiet relaxation and alone time.

Robin was the best best travel agent we have ever used and we will definitely be calling again for our next vacation!

We had a wonderful trip.  Rosie's was there to greet us and direct us to their office for our vouchers. 

The fiji resort was very nice and the staff extremely accommodating.  We went with Noah to his village to visit the school.  Our climb to the top of the island provided magnificent views.  The island Eddie took us to for snorkeling was fantastic!  The Yasawas were beautiful.

The next Fiji Resort was outstanding.  The staff was friendly and accommodating.  The bures were pretty and I loved the outdoor shower.  Our biggest disappointment (which no one can be faulted for) was that it rained EVERY day!  We never saw a sunset the whole time we were in Fiji.   Fiji Resort #1, the sun was out most days but every evening seemed to be cloudy.  At Fiji Resort #2, pretty much all the activities were canceled due to the weather.  The only thing we got to see was the first waterfall at Bouma.  We did some snorkeling in some coves but they were unable to take us to cabbage patch, etc.  We thought it quite an adventure and wouldn't have traded it for anything.  When we married, 40 years ago, at the ages of 19 and 21, it was never on our radar screen to even think that we would one day go to Fiji.  We have wonderful memories and met some great people that we will most likely keep in contact with for years to come.

When you asked what was our favorite thing, it would have to be the warm, welcoming people of Fiji.  I bought some Frangipani lotion at the airport so I could always be able to smell those beautiful flowers.  The welcome and farewell songs were heartwarming.   The food was delicious.

Rosie's departure lounge was relaxing.  You did a good job and I heard many good things about your agency while in Fiji which was good as I was a bit hesitant choosing an agent off the Internet. 

Let us know when there are some good deals from the east coast to Fiji or some other equally beautiful and friendly place.  Thanks.

Dear Robin,
Normand and I want to thank you for your important part in arranging the most magnificent trip our lives (so far!).  It was so perfect that I am sure that God Himself used you to create this trip, because to all of us the whole experience was just a little less than what heaven will be probably be like.

The journal I wrote which details our trip is about 50 pages long in my little journal diary thing; it will probably end up being about 10 pages single-spaced when I finish typing it up.  So I don’t know where to start to share with you why our trip was so glorious.  You have been to Fiji, so you have a good idea of some of the superb qualities – the people, hospitality, weather, beauty, etc.  But it was way more than that making me sure that God smiled and blessed us for some reason with a little glimpse of heaven at this time in our lives.

The Fiji Resort turned out to be fantastic.  At first the waves were a bit tricky for Normand, but he conquered the hurdles and had “epic” experiences.  The day at Uatotoka was the best.  Jason and his Fijian staff were so welcoming and friendly and generous with all of us; the boys and I always had fun snorkeling, hiking and visiting Nabukelevu-ira with plenty of wonderful R&R mixed in.  The boys loved having their own bure – like a deluxe play fort.  Mom and Dad didn’t mind having their own bure either.

Fiji Resort #2, too was the same as far as the people, hospitality, weather, beauty plus the elegance, which was the only contrast to Fiji Resort #1's casual, comfortable atmosphere.  Normand got a little surf-deprived restlessness at first when we arrived there so he went back to the 1st resort on July 15-16 returning July 16th, the afternoon of his birthday.  He returned COMPLETELY surf-fulfilled having conquered the break that had “humbled” (his word) him 7 days earlier. That evening Sabine (manager) had arranged for a special birthday kava ceremony complete with guitars, singing, dancing and, of course, kava.  Normand sat in the position of the chief at the circle around the tanoa.  They sang the Fijian birthday song and the traditional one we’re all used to and had a birthday cake complete with candles, sparklers with Happy 50th Birthday Mr. Richard written on it.

We are home now.  We miss Fiji though.  Speaking for myself, I look forward to traveling to other serene, beautiful and interesting places in this world in the future.  If that does not happen for some reason, I will not feel a void or anything missing in my life because I was fortunate enough to have the 12 days in Fiji.  I am grateful to you beyond words for your expertise and the special care you and McCoy Travel gave us in setting up the most memorable and perfect trip of our lives (so far!).

Please accept my apologies for taking so long to get back to you on our trip. As usual, everything was perfect. We were quite impressed with the Fiji Resort, perhaps the nicest resort we have stayed at in Fiji. We didn't even know that they put us in the wrong room for our first night, but once they moved us to the correct room, we were even more impressed. We had our rental car for the 2 nights that we were there, so we didn't spend too much time at the resort. We did take time to go snorkeling, walk on the beautiful beach and enjoyed chatting with Anne and Alice from the dive shop. The food and cocktails were marvelous, as well as the bottle of wine we quickly consumed upon arrival!

We stayed at Resort #2 for a couple of nights. This resort isn't exactly the true Fiji experience that we enjoy, but I try to give B. a little time at their wonderful golf course. We were impressed with the recent renovations they have made to the villa grounds. I had to use my Starwood points to upgrade to a one bedroom villa, thanks to you for hooking us on that one two years ago! We had dinner the first night at Cardo's, dodging raindrops under the sails was well worth the great steaks we ordered. Since I won't be able to make the Fiji Girlfriends trip, I figured we better try Cardo's. What a crazy and lively place! 

Overall, Fiji was fairly deserted with tourists (I didn't mind one bit) and the hotel owners we spoke to were really struggling since the latest coup in December. As far as I could tell, Fiji is just as safe as it has ever been, we even drove to Suva on Saturday as we had never been there before. Suva is not exactly the prettiest place to spend time in Fiji, as Robin had told me, but I needed to see for myself. They were having a children's festival the day we were there and there were games, face painting, food and music for everyone's enjoyment. We were very sad to see that people there chose to throw their garbage in the fountain. The waterfront in Suva is quite beautiful as well as the drive along Queen's highway.

So.....on to Samoa. We arrived in the middle of the night at the tiny airport. There was a Samoan rugby team on our plane and our welcome included traditional ceremonies by two hundred or so friends and families of the team. We rode in the pitch dark night through mountains, in and out of rain showers and arrived at the Samoa Resort about 3 a.m. Keep in mind, this was our second Tuesday of the day, we left Fiji at 10 p.m. Tuesday and arrived in Samoa at 1 a.m. Tuesday, that alone was a mystical experience. Three rather large Samoan security guards pick up our luggage on their shoulders and walked all the way down to the end of the beach to our fale.

Here we were in a country where we had never been, from what we could see, it was beautiful, but what a strange feeling to have sneaked in during the middle of the night with no one around! Our over-the-water fale was spacious and comfortable. The floor was all stone, almost all of the walls were windows and the furniture made from bamboo. I couldn't believe my eyes when I woke up the next morning.

Samoa is pristine, much like I remember Fiji the first time we were there. There are far too many things for me to tell about our trip, so I will try to be brief. The food is probably the best we have ever had anywhere in the world, although breakfast was nothing to rave about. Mika is an excellent chef. We went on tours of the island Tuesday and Wednesday with Albert, the resort tour guide. Albert is a gem! Snorkeling, cave pool, beaches, markets, waterfalls, turtle feeding and everything in between. On Thursday we rented a car for the rest of the week and saw the island on our own. B. was even able to go golfing a couple more times. The Samoan people are unbelievably friendly, I loved the culture and their preservation of it. 

If we learned anything from this trip, it is that we need to visit all of the islands in the South Pacific. I think each is going to be more beautiful the one before it. Considering we went to Fiji primarily to look at real estate for our retirement, we were very lucky that we didn't find something that could have kept us from exploring more of the islands. Thanks for asking. The trip was absolutely wonderful and I feel you got us a great value for our dollar. Our favorite place to stay was definitely the Big Island Hotel. It just seemed less touristy, slower, and more intimate than the other places we stayed (all of which were nice.) We especially loved the open air design of the hotel. From the lobby to the rooms, you felt you were truly breathing in Hawaii. As far as activities--we booked ourselves a introductory dive (no certification required) at Jack's Dive Locker on the Big Island. An individual instructor acquaints you with the procedures and lets you adapt to diving in a swimming pool on one day, then goes out with you on two boat dives the next day. The first lesson requires only a couple of hours and leaves the rest of your day free. The second day is to die for. The water off Kona is probably the clearest in the world and they make sure you see lots of underwater life. It is a package deal and is by far the most memorable thing we did. Also we found Hang Gliding on Maui. It was amazing as well. Very professional and well done. You could tell the pilot very much knew his business and he gave us a wonderful time. I would highly reccomend these two things to anyone coming to Hawaii to have fun at things they perhaps have never experienced before--or may ever experience again.

I want to thank you again so much for assisting my with my travel plans for my honeymoon. Debra and I were both extremely pleased with out stay at the Fiji Resort.  It was a fabulous resort and it was the perfect honeymoon location. The staff was wonderful, friendly, and helpful.  The food was out of this world.  The beauty was breathtaking and the activities were endless.  Debra and I were so pleased with the Marine Center and pleased to have the ability to snorkel and kayak anytime we liked.  The Marine Center was also very helpful when I wanted to Scuba Dive and I was very pleased to have guided dives anytime I wanted.  The villas were wonderful and they were exactly what I envisioned when I began planning our honeymoon.

I can't believe it's over :-( We had such a great time. Everything was absolutely fantastic, the whole experience (except the flight back, we had a mechanical problem and had to fly back to Nadi. So we were 4 hours late getting home).

We absolutely loved Navutu and the Yasawas. The resort was great - clean, great people, amazing food, and so much more. It was tidal, but we knew that and it was not a big deal. Most mornings we swam at the resort, because there were some great swimming spots there. We took picnics to some great beaches in the afternoon, which the hotel recommended.

We used the spa quite a bit, and it was great. Got to meet the owners and they were so nice. Everyone there was so friendly and welcoming. We really experienced a lot of great things: visited the limestone caves, lovo at the resort, lots of lagoon swimming/snorkeling, and just relaxing.

Thank you so much for everything. I can't wait for our next trip.

I was planning on e-mailing you as soon as I got back, but I found myself knee deep in school. I came back late, and all my focus was on getting back on track with the other students.

I can't thank you enough for setting us up with that resort. It was breath taking, we felt like movie stars, the resort was that luxurous. I have no idea how you were able to hook us up with that place with my budget. The Cook Islands was perfect for us. It felt so secluded, I felt like there was only a handful of tourists there, the privacy was next to none. I think this place is perfect for couples in our situation. I'm recommending it to all my friends.

Robin I can't thank you enough for this again.

I'm sorry that I haven't written sooner. Well, to start with I'm thankful that Robin was patient with us as we struggled to make our minds on how long to stay. We had gone on a cruise on the Pride of Aloha back in May, 05. We knew we wanted to spend all of our time on Maui. Robin was full of ideas and ways to get the most for our money. We have been married for 28 years and just wanted a relaxing no rush here and there vacation. That is exactly what we got. Robin suggested the romance package at the Maui Prince, which turned out to be the perfect package!
By the way, working with Robin was like working with an old friend, as if I had known her forever. The breakfast buffet was awesome every morning. Our room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and our ocean view was very nice. The hotel staff were very courteous and prompt. One of the best things about this stay was that we had been to a luau at this hotel back in May with our cruise and thought what an awesome hotel this must be, and the location was beautiful. We went on a whale watch and snorkeled. We had an awesome lobster dinner in the hotel one night with our 100.00$ credit. We went into Kihei one night and had tacos at Freds... Very good. Everything went off without a hitch. We received our Lei's upon arrival. Robin made sure we had that to look forward to. I cant say enough. We are considering another trip in February 2007 for 7-10 days. I would like Robin to work her magic again. Please send me some ideas, and the same hotel would be nice too. PS we made a new friend and played water Frisbee with him. His name is Kona.

Everything was great..... Robin did a great job setting up the hotels, air and cars for our honeymoon. We had no problems and had a wonderful honeymoon! The best thing about the trip.( well I better say that it was time spent with my wife since it was my honeymoon!) so the second best thing was being at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai during the Grand Slam and meeting a couple of my favorite golfers!.

I was composing a letter to send to you, but you beat me to it. To say the LEAST, my travel agent, Robin Bram, was excellent. I can not tell you how happy my husband and I were with her. She took time out of her night, Monday October 11, 2005, to help us with a hotel issue. That was not Robin's fault, that was mine. Robin worked her butt off to get us a nice room for our honeymoon in the JW Marriott AND she got us an ocean front. I was so happy. The best experience was staying at the Princeville on the oceanfront. We had our wedding there and it was truly the most memorable we had. My husband cried when we left, as well as I. We will be returning to the Princeville next year for our anniversary. The people there were amazing and so kind. Way different than Los Angeles. Robert and I are thinking about moving to Maui. I learned my lesson and will stay with your agency for all my travels. Robin deserves a raise or something special. I really mean that! Thank you very much for the professionalism and kindness!

The Hideaway Resort was beautiful with many activities as promised. We had time to kayak, snorkel, hike, swim, explore the beaches, and play tennis. The food is great with many choices. Our room was beautiful and the service was great. The trip with Rivers Fiji was a wonderful experience!! Moses, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.
