Cindy -
I'm sooooooooo sorry. I can't tell you what a world wind it has been since I got back from vacation and I just have no excuse for not getting back with you sooner. Please, please forgive me. I will give you a call, but I did want to mention just a few things. First of ALL, it was just amazing! The people, the people the people. You should know that God put us there for much more than a vacation. As you may or may not know, my husband and I also do mission work. We both travel quite a bit with our ministry and little did we know what we were really sent to Fiji for on that island! We spent more time with the people in the villages than ones at the resort. We went to church and we planted a church! Can you believe that! I can't spell all these names right, but we installed a new Pastor and our first member. The food was just amazing. The water, the peace....it was just amazing.
We loved the private dining places and the night I requested was just as planned and beautiful at during the most amazing sunset.
We want to go back again and plan to at least twice next year.
It was great having the day rooms coming and going.
I can do without Kava..lol Not my cup of tea, but we loved the experience.
I would tell anyone and everyone to go here. This was a dream vacation. We had the best time, it was like a honeymoon all over again and I would do it again in heartbeat! We made friends for life and talk to our Fiji family weekly. We LOVED the Premium Bure ! But I know we can't afford that stay...lol
I thank you for being such a beautiful person. I thank you because you made this trip effortless and personal. I thank you because I was able to trust you and we didn't have not one problem coming, going, or during our stay.
We plan to travel a few times next year and I would like to use you as often as I can. Please tell me where all you book and you can count on us as customers for life!
PS..I met your driver and for the life of me can't remember his name. We met him on the way back and said he knows you well. He wishes we would have met him coming in and he would have been our guide. So next time we are to ask for him. I think his name is Pontay? Something like that..lol He said you would know. He gets our thumbs up and we enjoyed his company. Next time, we get him the whole trip!
Have a blessed Christmas and lets chat soon!
Blessings

Hi Lori -
We just returned today from Phuket.
The Thailand resort was incredible. What a peaceful stay it was. The staff was so attentive to us, when they caught on that Dion was in the industry himself as a hotel caterer and chef they were on it. We loved the spa, the massages were wonderful everyday. We enjoyed the few outside activities we did, but most of the time was spent at the resort itself and it was very high end.
Thanks for setting that up.

Hi Faye,
Thank you!
We have arrived home safely and are pleased to say the wedding and very short honeymoon went just as planned, and in actual fact, better than expected. The staff at the Fiji resort were extremely helpful and very friendly and our beachfront villa was superb. So glad we upgraded. Fortunately the cyclone stayed away and we had beautiful weather for most of it, but on our wedding day especially. We ate at the resort restaurant every night and loved the food, and the service was great. Our wedding co-ordinator's name was Shalini and she was terrific. The wedding photos taken as part of the wedding package turned out really well (not digital) so the photos I have attached are ones we have taken. We went snorkeling (twice in fact). Fiji is paradise. We loved it. We will definitely return one day in the not too distant future.
Thank you once again for your help Faye.
Cheers,

Here are some picures and I hope you still have our story about how much we loved our honeymoon and our experience working with you. Sorry that I did not send these sooner but please tell our story online about how great our honeymoon was. You also helped us to choose the most romantic hotel with the most breathtaking views. We had a blast and can't wait to go back. Thank you again for all your help in making this trip perfect for us! Click here for my original testimonial of how great the trip and service was!!

Hi Vanessa!!!
Thank you SO much!
We absolutely enjoyed every moment of our honeymoon. On behalf of both Ali and myself, thank you so much for all your help and advice because it totally paid off!
Both the hotels were amazing and the service was excellent. We went to the spa at the Tahiti Resort in Bora Bora and LOVED it! We also did parasailing in Bora Bora as well as snorkeling on both islands. AMAZING! The OB was breathtaking and we spent lots of time on our balcony gazing and admiring the beauty of the Bora Bora. We loved the food at both places as well :)
We were unable to do the shark and ray feeding because it rained on Monday.
Thank you for everything and hope to plan something with you again soon :)

Hi Faye!
Our trip to Tahiti was wonderful. Everything went well and we didn't
have any problems with the tour package. The transfers using Malama
Tours on Tahiti and Albert Tours on Moorea went
smoothly. I was suprised they actually kept to the schedule.
We had a great time on Moorea. The following list are some of the
observations during our trip:
1. The accommodations at Moorea resort #1 was good. The
room was nice. We liked the Sofitel because it is a 10 minute
walk from the Moana Nui shopping center. At the Moana Nui shopping
center is a Carrefour, the French equivalent to Wal-mart. We bought
most of our snacks, water and souvenirs from Carrefour.
2. The accommodations at Moorea resort #2 was very nice. The room was nice and the activities were numerous.
We liked the excursion that took us out to a motu where we snorkeled.
There were so many colorful fish and the water was crystal clear.
Snorkeling in Tahiti was much better than Hanauma Bay. The spot that
we snorkeled was between the motu and "Dream Island." From what I
read, "Dream Island" is a private island with vacation houses
available for rent.
3. The over-the-water bungalows at Moorea resort #3 was very very nice. The room was big and spacious, and
was air conditioned. I thought the snorkeling off resort #2 was nicer than the snorkeling in the lagoons of
resort #3. But, both snorkeling spots were still very nice.
Another good thing about staying here is that the
location is very close to Maharepa. There are many "snack"
restaurants to eat at in Maharepa. There is even a mini-market where
we bought more snacks and drinks.
4. Because our return flight departed Tahiti at 1225am, we spent the
Saturday afternoon walking around port area. We caught the local bus,
which costs 140XPF, to get to and from the port, airport and
Carrefour. I'm not sure what the bus schedule is, but we didn't wait
more than 10 minutes for each bus.
5. We drove around the island.
We also stopped by the Belevedeur look out. While driving around the island, I noticed there is no
traffic signals on the island.
6. We also bought a black pearl pendant and ear rings from Ron Hall
Jewelry.
7. While on Moorea, we also saw the Tahitian Tiki Theater show. The
show was worth the price of admission. The food is similar to
hawaiian food so I enjoyed it very much.
All in all, the trip was very memorable. We hope to go again one day,
next time to Bora Bora. If we do go back to Moorea, we'd probably
stay at the Intercontinental rather than the Moorea Pearl.
If you have any questions about our trip, please feel free to call or email.
Thank you for all your help!

Ia Orana and Bula Melissa,
We have been very pleased with both of our trips, last year to Fiji and this past month to Bora Bora and Moorea. A big part of that was the wonderful service and assistance we received from Lori. She was very responsive, listened to our concerns, preferences, etc., and delivered on what was promised or agreed upon. Just as an example, we requested POWB # 45 and 426 for the Resorts in Bora Bora and Moorea, respectively, and we got them. Her insight and advice on must-do excursions and other particulars with regards to the resorts and islands itself was dead-on!
We were very pleased with our accommodations and overall travel experience to both Fiji and French Polynesia. The food and service at resort in Fiji, in particular, was amazing!! And we cannot say enough wonderful things about the genuine warmth and hospitality of the Fijians, and the beauty of their country. In fact, we are planning a trip for next year back to Fiji, with diving in mind…
We look forward to a long and productive relationship with you, Lori, and McCoy Travel.

Bula and Ia Orana! Lori,
Thank you for your kind words! Yes, we did have a lot of fun in French Polynesia and a significant part of that was you making sure we received the best possible accommodations (loved our bungalows!) and service possible; plus advice on what was good to do with each island. We would like to sincerely thank you once again!
With regards to our next trip, we would definitely like to plan it for November of next year. We did like the 2 cruises you mentioned as well as the Fiji Resort. They are still the gold standard, even with Bora Bora of recent. We will definitely go back there one day….
Take care, and we look forward to a long, productive, and beautiful relationship with you as we travel. You will have to build in a stop in Hawaii into one of our South Pacific forays either coming or going. We would love to meet you! Or maybe you can meet us in paradise (Fiji or French Polynesia; either one!).
Sincerely,

We really did have a great trip!! The villa was really nice with great views!!

Everything was taken care of, thanks to Michael!! He did a wonderful job!! Also, his recommendation of Mama’s Fish House was soo right!! We loved it. Our favorite day was Halloween in Lahaina!! Thanks for telling us to go early and not to try and eat in Lahaina. What a party!! We spent the whole night in Cheeseburger in Paradise!! What a sight to behold!!
Thanks to Michael, who did a wonderful job and your company. We would definitely use you again and Michael!!

Ia Orana and Bula Lori,
It was nice talking with you tonight. We also wanted to let you know that we got POWB # 45 at Bora Bora and we were absolutely delighted with it. It had an awesome view of Mt. Otemanu, and the lagoon in Bora Bora is just spectacular!! The staff at both Pearls was great; not awesome like Fijians as you pointed out before the trip, but they did make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We did have the pleasure of meeting both Kamala and Tony, and we availed of the Bora Bora Deluxe spa package. It was expensive, but she gave us a good deal with it (Vichy shower and an Ave massage for me), so we bit and are so glad we did. It is probably the best if not second best deep tissue massage I’ve had. We did not get to meet Laura. But then again, between 6 dives each island; circle lagoon tour, ATV, renting a car for a day to explore Moorea, the Dolphin experience; tandem parasailing at 300 m, jet ski tour, and lagoonarium at Bora Bora (whew…) we did not have much time left over beyond exploring the beautiful lagoon and enjoying our bungalows.
We had a WONDERFUL time!! We are torn between going back to the 4 islands I mentioned, or doing 2 weeks in Fiji (one week diving, possibly liveaboard; the other relaxing at a resort). Let us know what deals are out there. We would like to go back either late Oct. or early Nov. next year as I mentioned. We like the off season; less people.

Take care,

Dear Mimi,
We arrived at home on schedule after a wonderful trip. Everything went as planned, car rentals were smooth, hotel/condo check in/out were easy and fast, airline travel went off without a hitch. Thank you for your service. I think the best thing about your service was the comfort in your knowledge regarding the lodging. Each condo/hotel was better than anticipated. The Maui Resort was spacious, quiet, very nice facilities, and across from a beach/reef that we had a blast swiimming, snorkeling, and watching sunsets. We liked Kihei and Lahaina the best for tourist type stuff. Our favorite beach of the whole trip was a small beach between Homoa and Hana called something like Kiki or Nini beach. It was awesome and the first time Lydia swam in any ocean. Kamaole #3 was the first time she ever snorkeled in the ocean. The best meal we had in Maui was aboard the dinner cruise. Maybe the ambiance had something to do with it! Walking through the bamboo forests was awesome in Oheo Gulch up to the 400' waterfalls. The sounds of the bamboo trees swaying in the wind was not like anything we had heard before. Snorkeling with the turtles off Kamaole #3 and 'Turtle Town' off shore from the Maui Prince Resort was outstanding.
On Hawaii, visiting South Point was my favorite. Lydia and I both really like the black Sand Beach at Punalu'u (turtles again of course). Volcano National Park was like walking back into time and the couple days we spent walking and driving all over it was cool. Too bad the lava flow was so far into the forest off the beaten path the cloud cover didn't let us view it from the viewing areas. We went to a tropical garden just north of Hilo which was unbelieveable. The Banyan trees on Banyan drive (and of course the park in Lahaina) were amazing to me. Coconut Island, adjacent to our hotel's property was great for walks, swimming, picnics, sunset viewings, and laying on our rafts for hours, just floating and staring at the clouds and blue sky!
Kauai was also a blast. We started out leaving the airport and heading directly to the Waimea Canyon. We have back-packed over 110 miles in the Grand Canyon, and this was every bit as spectacular. In Waimea, we watched sunset on a pier on the south end of the 17 mile long Barking Sands beach. We met a fisherman who recommended the Wrangler restaurant in Waimea for dinner as the best. This was my personal favorite of every meal we had. IAnother favorite from the quality of food standpoint was a place called the Fish Shack or House in the Coconut Market Place, across the street from the resort we stayed at. It was the final choice on our last night for the pick your best spot on this side of the island for our last eat out night! The reefs on the north shores of Kauai were our favorites between Maui and Kauai. Our favorite overall were, in order: #1 Tunnels Beach-awesome reef close to shore, no waves stirring the inner reef so very clear (as clear as the Molokini Crater), very easy access. Simply outstanding and safe, seeing more turtles helped also. #2 the beach at the Princeville Resort Beach, #3 Ke'e Beach, at the end of the road, 1 mile past the Haina Park Beach. More wave action and stronger currents but spectacular fish and views of the Na Pali Coast. We also saw a Monk Seal sleeping on the beach at sunset our first time here. The best learning to surf and body surf/swim beach was the miles of sand and gentle long breaking waves of the Hanalei Beach. Simply awesome. Finally, the Na Pali Coast boat tour on a Zodiac raft/boat was great! We didn't see any whales yet, but next time going the first part of December would be a priority.
In conclusion, our favorite accommodations in the future would probably be condos or homes with air conditioning. The hotels were great, but a little too noisy sometimes, which is what hotels always do. The spaciousness of condos/homes and the fact they tend to be quieter I think appeals to us more. In terms of activities, one advantage we had in living at 7000 ft of elevation, was the fact no matter how fast, steep or high we climbed, or how long and hard we swam in the ocean, we recovered extremely fast. In terms of pace, Maui felt like Southern California in the cities-faster pace and more crowds. Hilo and southern Hawaii were much calmer and slower paced, as well as was Kauai as a whole. Each place had its own charm and things we absolutely loved to do. The Big Island (Hawaii) Resort was as expected for a late 60's early 70's construction. Islander on the Beach was really fun, Lydia says cute! The Tiki Bar at the pool was also a big plus even though we only went there once.
We had a great time.
Thank you,
K. Friese

Hi Melissa/Mimi,
My husband and I had a wonderful time in Kauai and booking it through your company made it even better. We had no troubles at all and everything was delightful! It is the little things that make the difference. An example would be being able to walk up to Hertz and get our car almost immediately. We did not have to wait in the long line since we booked through Classic Vacations. The Kauai Resort was a dream and we would definitely stay there again. We loved the South Shore! We will definitely use your company again when we travel and I recommend you guys to everyone. Our friends just got back from Oahu and they booked through Classic Vacations.
Thanks so much for everything and I look forward to using your services in the future!

Aloha Melissa,
I enjoyed all of my trip! I really liked that all of the rooms at the Maui Resort were suites and the bathrooms were nice and large! I also liked that they had complimentary washers and dryers on every floor (I didn't have to take a lot of clothes). I also liked the breakfast buffet (a big variety of food).
My family stayed on the Big Island (Kona) 2 years ago and liked the hotel. I enjoyed my stay there this time as well and the staff kind of looked after me, since I was traveling alone (my sister backed out of the trip at the last minute). I have 6 weeks off work and decided to return to Kona and had Mark book a trip for me at the same hotel, so I leave on October 31. I really like working with Mark and he has done a fantastic job!
I hope (God willing) that I can take a trip to Hawaii every year and will definitely use McCoy Travel for all of my reservations. Do you book trips all over the world, or are you limited to Hawaii and the South Pacific?

Bula!
We miss that greeting already! Luckily for us, when we left Fiji we spent 3 nights in San Francisco or we would be hopelessly depressed now.
We had such a lovely time on the island of Taveuni – it was just paradise. As you said, the people were the most friendliest ever and the service was incredible.
It was very much up to our expectations if not more. We would most definitely go back to Fiji – although we loved it so much we’d quite like to try and see more of the islands. It was so reasonable as well – Mark is just telling me how much the bill was and for all that we had it was just such a bargain.
The food was fantastic as well – and Mark is the fussiest eater in the world, but he ate this food (mind you he would have starved otherwise, but he liked it.) The seafood was so nice and fresh.
By the time we got to Fiji we were ready for a rest having just spent 12 very busy days in Perth and then 3 in Sydney. So we didn’t take advantage of all the tours, but we did have our massages and I booked another one as well, and boy were they good! Even the use of the lounge at the airport was good, with our free massage and manicure. Just such a way to wind down before the flight to LA.
We would like to say a sincere thank you for booking this for us, and we would most definitely use your services again and recommend you to others. For us it was a risk as we had no idea who McCoy Travel were and it was all internet based, but your service and the holiday was just fantastic. Thank you.
Although our money next year will be limited, we will most definitely be in touch for our next trip to either Fiji or Hawaii, and in fact whatever country you deal with.
Thanks again Faye it was a pleasure dealing with you.
Kindest regards

Hi Lori,
We just got back last night. We had a fantastic trip!
We are definitely going back-the Fiji Resort was perfect! It was the perfect place for the kids and amazingly was perfect for us too. It felt like a second honeymoon but at the same time, we enjoyed all the family activities of a family vacation. Watching my 3 year old loving snorkeling was something I thought I'd never experience. Even looking at fish just off the pier was an experience. My 19 month old was watching saying "Mommy fish, mommy fish, mommy fish, mommy snake (as an eel swam by)" He even started looking for fish in puddles after the afternoon rain!
Thank you for all your help-everything went like clockwork.
You'll hear from us again on the next trip!

Hi Lori,
It was an adventure! We missed our flight to Taveuni because our luggage did not arrive. Rosie got us on the afternoon flight & booked us a day room to nap & shower. Thank God for Rosie. Our luggage never made it for 3 days!! I understand Darren & crew went out of their way to retrieve it. It had arrived at Tavenui but got locked up for the night. They tracked down the man with the key at a local bar to get it to us. Talk about service! Having said all that, the staff, resort, spa & food were great! We had the best massages we've ever had anywhere.!!! Had the weather been better, it would have been perfect. We only got out snorkeling once to Mariah's cove in wet suits.
The Fiji Overwater Bungalow Resort was perfect! The helicopter ride was awesome. We were like two kids on Christmas morning. I don't know if it was just seeing the sun but the scenery was dazzling. Our bure was great, we did three snorkel trips plus twice in the lagoon & it was beautiful. We loved the food. Could not believe it could be better than Fiji resort #1. The Fijians are phenomenal. I felt as if we became part of their family. This fiji resort has to be one of the prettiest places we've ever been.
I have to say if the weather had been good it would have been the best vacation we ever had. So you really did a great job of listening to us & what we like.
Thanks for everything. I passed your name to a colleague of Marty's who is interested in a honeymoon in Tahiti.

Dear Melissa/Lori,
Our trip was just FAB. We had a lot of relaxation time as well as great adventures. Met some wonderful people too. We just love FIJI and want to go back as often as possible.
My Dad is doing well. He lives in Suva and is 85. Went into the Peace Corps and just never came home! He was so happy to have us there.
We took the Navua River boat tour this time. I had done this once before but it was my husband's first time. Just so stunning! Went for a swim under a waterfall and ate a sumptuous lunch in the village. Kava ceremony, dancing, etc. Godwin loved it. Took lots of pictures of the waterfalls.
Mango season was on so we ate a lot of them. The papaya was out of this work delectable too. We ate lamb curry, fish in coconut milk, all of the local stuff. Numm!
Our FIJI family (my Dad is married to a Fijian) had a lovo dinner for us on the Sunday. What a feast! Dad enjoyed that day very much. Even made a little speech about how grateful he was to be part of their family and how much he appreciated their hospitality of his daughter. He got a little teary eyed. Of course Godwin made a speech as well. I just sat and grinned the entire time.
The resort we stayed at was fantastic! Very nice accommodations facing the beach. Air conditioned, king bed, fresh flowers and fruit in the room, hibiscus on the pillow, nice porch to sit out on. Fabulous restaurant and bar! Breakfast buffet included too. Lots of activities to chose from: Coral planting, snorkeling, hobie-cats, canoes, surf boards, beach walks, etc. All inclusive. Great pool with a water slide, massage pavilion, work out room, night club disco each night. Stage entertainment every night. We just loved it! Best of all was a wonderful staff of warm, friendly people.
I read about 3 books while there. Spent a lot of time just relaxing with a book on the lawn facing the beach. Lots of breezy days. I went snorkeling a lot and, Oh my goodness! Just me, the vast variety of fish, coral, sea anemones and the quiet, clear water. Like communing with God. Amazing!
Thank you for your help and I will be using you in the future,

Robin and Melissa,
We had a wonderful trip. Rosie's was there to greet us and direct us to their office for our vouchers.
Fiji Resort #1 was very nice and the staff extremely accommodating. We went with Noah to his village to visit the school. Our climb to the top of the island provided magnificent views. The island Eddie took us to for snorkeling was fantastic! The Yasawas were beautiful. The sun was out most days but every evening seemed to be cloudy.
Fiji Resort #2 was outstanding. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The bures were pretty and I loved the outdoor shower. Our biggest disappointment (which no one can be faulted for) was that it rained EVERY day! We never saw a sunset the whole time we were in Fiji. Pretty much all the activities were canceled due to the weather. The only thing we got to see was the first waterfall at Bouma. We did some snorkeling in some coves but they were unable to take us to cabbage patch, etc. We thought it quite an adventure and wouldn't have traded it for anything. When we married, 40 years ago, at the ages of 19 and 21, it was never on our radar screen to even think that we would one day go to Fiji. We have wonderful memories and met some great people that we will most likely keep in contact with for years to come.
When you asked what was our favorite thing, it would have to be the warm, welcoming people of Fiji. I bought some Frangipani lotion at the airport so I could always be able to smell those beautiful flowers. The welcome and farewell songs were heartwarming. The food was delicious.
Rosie's departure lounge was relaxing. You did a good job and I heard many good things about your agency while in Fiji which was good as I was a bit hesitant choosing an agent off the Internet.
Let us know when there are some good deals from the east coast to Fiji or some other equally beautiful and friendly place. Thanks.

Mark,
We just returned from a phenomenal time in Fiji. My family and I would like to thank you for all your work and effort in planning our trip. It was one of the smoothest trips we have ever enjoyed. There was no problem with any aspect of the trip, including my wife's passport and name change. The people at Air New Zealand and the Fiji Resort were the most helpful people imaginable.
Thank you again for all your work. We hope to be using your services for another one of our family vaccations in the future.

Hi Melissa,
Hawaii was awesome! We stayed on the Big Island, and Kauai. The good thing about both of these hotels were the beaches! Food was better in the Big Island Hotel than Kauai. The breakfast buffet was awesome and I would highly recommend having this included.
Both hotels were very nice; especially in Kauai. I think we had better beaches over more privacy; this wasn't such a bad thing.
Best thing to see on the Big Island was Waipio Valley. We went on our own and you can't go down to the Black Sand unless you have a Jeep or offroad Vehicle.
Also it is good to know (we knew this) if people are not interested in driving and checking out things on their own; they may not appreciate the Big Island as much. Beautiful, Beautiful Island. Missed the Helicopter ride to Volcano; they were booked and we didn't feel like driving to Hilo on our last day. Tell people to book early if they want choices on location and time of helicopter rides. I guess the Lava took a turn and viewing was really good when we were there.
My husband and I really loved Kauai ; extremely lush beautiful Isle. We enjoyed the Kauai Luau. We also did our fair share of exploring the Island by jeep.
Best thing on Kauai: The Zodiac trip up to the Napali Coast...Awesome and worth every penny.
Full moon on the Big Island...priceless. Lit up the whole Island. Thanks to Mimi again, our trip was fabulous.

Hello Lori,
I really wanted to thank you for your assistance in scheduling and rescheduling our trip.
Kaleo and I got in and were well received by Sammy, the driver in Fiji. It was nice driving to Pacific Harbor and it went very quickly. All the people getting off the boat were praising their experience there. Unfortunately the weather the entire time was not great for surfing but we adjusted and they were very accommodating. Sue and Mark are great and the locals were awesome. We were comfortable with the accommodations and the food was good. Sue and Mark really made sure we were okay since everyone else was diving for the days. We surfed once, took a boat around the island and surfed and fished, hiked to the waterfall and visited the school. Wise did a private kava ceremony with us and that was fun. We ended up just talking about life for about an hour.
We then had an adventure getting to Kadavu. Sammy drove us through Suva to Nausori and we took off but the weather was so bad we could not see the island of Kadavu. The pilots tried to land 3 or 4 times but turned around and went back to Nausori. So we had to get back to Suva and find a place to stay. After trying a couple of places we went to the Holiday Inn to kill a night. We made the most of it. The next morning we went back to the airport and were able to land in Kadavu. It is a 45 minute drive to Matava. Pulling up, the Bures are along the hillside over looking the water and it is a beautiful view to see and feels very serene pulling up. We couldn’t surf here and there was not too much to do but we made the most of it by kayaking in the ran, snorkeling, some walks and just relaxed with our books and each other. We contemplated going North or somewhere else when we couldn’t land but weren’t really prepared to do so. I did look in our book and contemplated a few places but we just loved the remoteness and descriptions of them. The other ones north seemed to mention night life, families and seemed to be like Waikiki resorts a bit??? Anyway, we had a good trip. On the last day we got into Nadi at 2ish and our flight was at 11pm so we ended up going to Tanoa hotel and got a room for the afternoon. This was well worth it because we got to rest, eat, shower up and felt great before our flight. Being that it was Sunday there was not much opened in the city anyway and there was no way we were going to wait at the airport if we could help it.

Thank you for your continued professionalism. I am impressed by your continued level of service. If you ever need assistance in traveling around the world or in doing research or bookings, please let me know.
We had a great trip to Fiji. We had uncooperative weather but made the most of the trip. We enjoyed the places we stayed, the food, hospitality and the Fijian culture. We really tried to engulf ourselves with the locals and found a mutual appreciation. I think being from Hawaii has its advantages in warming up to people.
Thank you for your assistance in coordinating the trip!

~ Return Hawaii ~ |
Hi Mark,
I am having the best time on the Big Island of Hawaii and wanted to thank you for the chocolates! My nieces and nephew loved them too!
I am on a 6-week sabbatical from work and don't have to return to work until November 12. I was planning to go to Europe, but the dollar is way down and it would probably be quite costly to go.
I wanted to know if you could find out how much it would cost (hotel + car) for a 10 or 12 day trip back to the Big Island? I really like the resort on the Big Island, since I know it and the staff have gotten to know me (so I feel pretty safe here).

Hi Faye,
We had a fabulous time. We had the Amethyst Suite. Our butler Wally , and our Room person, Zaneida, were both fabulous. Z. made us towel animals every day and I took pictures of all of them. We were VIP's for sure. We got all the extras that you arranged for and more. We each had our own bedroom and bath, and left the patio door open at night for fresh air. I am not used to AC. We rented a car in Hilo, Maui and Kauai. The day in Kauai was so beautiful and we drove all over the island. Napali coast was so lovely. We went to the Ocean Center in Maui.. Rita was impressed and thought she now appreciates the fish. We were invited to a party for VIP's, and a party for Latitudes. Free drinks and pupus and met the officers and captain. We went to a show on the ship called Tony and Tina's wedding, and it was lots of fun. The big shows had special s eats in boxes for us. There was a very good magic illusion show, and 2 singing and dancing shows. We ate at all the specialty restaurants, We liked Tappenyaki the best and we ate there the first night and it was a great way to start the trip.....The La Bistro French free dinner was great, duck and filet mignon, and the best creme brulee'. We were allowed special breakfast at Cagney's restaurant because we were VIP's, but after 2 days there we went for the back outside deck for breakfast, and we loved that. The ship was full , over 2,000 people , so it was great to have an edge on the seats in the show room. We also went to see The Lion King before we left in Oahu.....It was wonderful, so colorful and well done.
Thank you so much Faye for your help and offering us the upgrade. We felt very special indeed, and it was nice to have our own rooms. Rita stayed up front and I was in the little room , but had my own bath....so it was great. There is a Princess trip to Tahiti and for 11 days in Feb. It goes on to Nuka Hiva, and several other islands, too, besides Bora Bora and Morrea , and Raiatea. .. I looked today online at the rooms and the Mini Suite looks good. I may be interested in that. We sure enjoyed the pools on this ship. There are 2, and the bigger one was wonderful. Plus hot tubs of course and the slide. It was fun to see all the old people sliding down it, it is great that we can still have fun too. We swam all day in Kona, didn't get off the ship. The picture of the ship and the submarine was from our ship to the Pride of Aloha which was in Kona the same day.
Mahalo again,

~ New Zealand ~ |
Aloha Faye,
Just wanted to let you know that we're safely home from our trip. We had a wonderful time. New Zealand is even more beautiful and diverse than we had imagined. The tour exceeded our expectations. Our guide for the main part of the tour was excellent, as was the driver, and all but one of the side tour driver/guides were very good as well, and even that one wasn't too bad! Our companions on the bus were an international lot and were interesting and easy to travel with. We were pleased by the quality of the meals almost everywhere we stopped - love all those little bakeries at the tea and lunch stops!! The accommodations were fine, and we were so impressed with the friendliness of the people wherever we went. Our home stay was one of the highlights of the trip - Barb & Jim were a wonderful couple- we truly felt like we were visiting family.
It turned out to be a perfect time of year to be there. For the most part the weather was sunny and beautiful and the snow was still on the mountains. The fruit trees & rhodies were in full bloom and the Spring bulbs were as well - gave me a wonderful dose of the time I miss most in Seattle. And there were lambs everywhere, from newborn to a couple of months old. Fell in love with Kaikoura -I'd have a place there if I lived on the south island!
Thanks again for all of your help putting together this great trip for us.
Best,
Z. Sparks

~ Fiji ~ |
Hey Lori - It's good to hear from you. Yeah, Fiji was unreal. Summer and I were completely blown away. I showed Mark the video from Frigates and was telling him all about it. I think he's ready to go now.
Fiji was great. We pretty much had the place to ourselves the first 4 days as there was only one other couple there. I think when we left there were only a total of 10 people staying there. The honeymoon bure is ridiculous. I mean, we would've been happy with just the regular oceanfront but the honeymoon bure was way above our expectations. After staying there, it's definitely a step down to the oceanfront....not that we minded but it is different.
I'm not sure that Summer and I were prepared for the food. We were blown away by the meals. I mean, we may go out for a meal like that once or twice a year. Everything was great.
I think the best thing about it was that we got to know all of the fijians working there. That was one of the high lights of the trip though. It was amazing to learn about how they live and their families. We had a lot of laughs with them. It really put things in perspective with our day to day lives in busy SoCal.
I had one of the best days surfing ever. Summer and I were the only ones on the boat (other than the two guys from the Fiji resort). They packed us a nice lunch and had drinks and everything. The waves were unreal. Summer had a great time on the boat just watching and I had an unbelievable experience in the water. On the way back the guys swung by a snorkle spot so Summer could get in and check things out.
All in all it was an amazing experience. Hopefully sometime we'll be able to make it back. We were talking about it and said while we would love to go back, it seems like next time around we should try something new so that we can compare. Speaking of that, Mark sent me the picture you took from the plane off the over water bures. It looked nice and perhaps sometime we'll make it there.
Anyway, thanks for all your help is setting everything up.
Thanks again Lori.

~ Upcoming Fiji ~ |
Hi all and a special Hi to Hiapo
To start with we have not taken our trip to Fiji yet but are definitely looking forward to it as a wind down from our three weeks in Australia. Our trip is planed for mid winter, lets see snow storms blizzards below freezing temperatures all the good things in Nova Scotia.
So why am I writing this?
Well Kay and myself are from Halifax Nova Scotia Canada and we are doing the big one, the big retirement trip vacation, once in a life time sort of thing, any ways I was trying to book this trip through travel agents in Halifax Canada and just kept running into stone walls. They just wanted to sell me the book packages and get the money so I said the heck with them all and decided to book the trip myself through the Internet. I never thought I could do an add on to an island like Fiji but all of a sudden the Canadian dollar went par with the American dollar. Fiji here we come..
Here I am trying to book a Fiji trip on the internet at 3 am in the morning and I run across this travel agent site with a toll free number, like that is going to work from Halifax Nova Scotia Canada especially at 4 am in the morning, so I said what the heck. I dialed it and got this guy from Hawaii who was really fantastic and by the time we finished he gave me several options to choose from and his knowledge of Fiji was unbelievable. The result was one more 4 am phone call and he gave me what I could afford and what I wanted not what some travel agent that I was dealing with here wanted. He even figured out a flight that saved me a $329.00 hotel room in Melbourne ( race week upcharge ) and it gave me 2 extra days in Fiji.
I booked the flight using my travel points and got the flight from Melbourne that no one here knew anything about, I called back Hiapo and together we choose the resort that best suited my needs and I said
Book it Hiapo here's the visa number and we booked it on line, one small glitch but it was all done and paid for.
Normally I would be hesitant in my praise but I am sure everything will be just as we dreamed about when we arrive in Fiji.
Why because I was treated right, my concerns were met and I had the right options and personal knowledge and insight from some one that knew what they were talking about. Thanks Hiapo. If you ever get to Halifax the lobster is on me .
I will confirm when we get back about our trip to Fiji, but somehow I think it will be fantastic.
If you ever need a travel agent in Halifax Canada I am available.
Kindest regards

Bula -
Our Fiji trip went well. The accomodations at the Fiji resort were perfect for us. Mike was right on target for recommending this resort. The bures have lots of space. We had not problems with ours.
We loved the remoteness of the island. The villagers made us feel very welcome. A highlight was attending the intra-island, inter-school rugby tournament at one of the villages.
The weather was not great so our diving was not as good as it could have been. No one can control that. The dive operation was a little bit more primitive than what we are accustomed to. However since we were the only divers at the resort, we had plenty of room on the boat. Also, the dive boat doubles as the guest transfer boat.
Thanks for your assistance,

Hi Melissa/Sue,
Our experience in Fiji was fabulous! I couldn't have imagined a better
vacation. Thank you very much for the recommendation to Fiji for
our honeymoon. From what we could see it was one of the best islands
compared to the other Mamamuca islands. It is so hard to choose one,
single most favorite experience.... but if I absolutely had to it would
be the staff. They were incredibly kind and made us feel
right at home from the moment we stepped onto the island. I will be sure
to not only use you for future vacations but will gladly refer anyone I
know to come to you for travel planning help. Thank you once again for
an incredible Honeymoon.
