~ Fiji/Hawaii ~ |
Well we have been back from our 3 week Fiji/Hawaii trip since December
4th...and I am just now getting some extra time to write to you!
Qamea
was perfect! We just loved it! The honeymoon bure was
everything we imagined it would be and more! We enjoyed the
laid back quiet charm. The sound of the surf at night was a
great relaxing sound to sleep to and wake up to each morning.
The weather was perfect! The scuba diving was out of this world!
The soft corals were outstanding as was the sea life! Snorkeling
was also great right off the beach! The people were the sweetest
and most genuine people we have ever encountered on any of our trips!
The food was also excellent! Too bad it is so expensive...we
would love to go back someday! Even though it was probably the
most we have spent on a week long visit...it was still worth every
cent! So what's a little extra debt?!
Hawaii
is of course our favorite destination...it never fails to impress!
The Big Island was great and Kauai is still one of the most beautiful
places on this planet! We hope to live there someday!
Anyway...I just wanted to tell you how great our trip was. I
am already dying to go again! Thank you for all your help on
the planning of the trip and helping us to choose Qamea! Fiji
was fantastic!

Hi, I'm replying
to the email regarding me and my new wife's experience on
our nine day honeymoon to Fiji. Well one word to some up
the whole trip is "Awesome". It was the best trip ever, everything
was perfect. The Fiji people are great and so are their
services. Beqa
Island was my favorite place in the world. No cars or
roads was so peaceful. The food everyday, breakfast, lunch
and dinner was delicious. Even my wife who is a very picky eater
was trying everything and really liking it. The villages we visited
were eye opening as to what we have in America, but the people
were just so happy. McCoy Travel was everything I could ask
for in a travel agency. Lori
knew everything about Fiji.
Well thanks McCoy Travel. See you on my next trip.

I received your voice-mail. Sorry,
that I haven't called, my wife found a room over the week-end...I

we did receive our package in the mail so we are all set.
Thanks so much for all of your help.

Hi
Lori.
I haven’t spoken with you in a while and still haven’t had
a chance to catch up regarding mine and Jimmy’s trip to Fiji (Maravu
Resort and Plantation)
until now. I can’t believe that it has already been 6 months
since we were there. I usually don’t like to go to the same
places that I’ve been before, but my husband and I will definitely
go back to Fiji some day. The people were very kind and good-hearted.
We stayed very busy while we were
there, trying to soak up all that the resort had to offer. We
went to Honeymoon Island and that was cool because as you know, they
drop you off on a remote island by yourselves. We went on a snorkeling
trip with a big group of people and even though it was rainy that day,
everyone enjoyed it, along with the picnic on the beach, under the tarps
that they threw up to keep us dry as we ate. We even spotted dolphin
swimming in the area. We saw blue starfish, which we didn’t
even know existed! How amazing to see the many creatures that
God has created. We did some hand line fishing, which was different
and fun. We went out in the kayaks and spotted some sea snakes
in the water, which we were told to stay away from because they are
poisonous. We went to the waterslide…the natural slide
with big boulder rocks and water running right down the middle.
That was very neat. We also went on a hike up a steep mountain,
within the lush rainforest-like surroundings, where the Falls is located.
I learned exactly how out of shape I am! I almost died.
We did the horseback riding and mountain bike riding. My big souvenir
was a black pearl in which I’m very proud. We went to a
church service and although it was in a foreign language, I could kinda
follow along because I used to be a Catholic. The food was to
die for! Very impressed. A lot of little extras that we
enjoyed too were the welcome drink, the going away serenade and cake,
etc., etc. I can’t say enough about the resort.
I just want to thank you again Lori,
for all of the help that you provided to me, while I planned our trip
of a lifetime for about a year. I just met someone who has always
wanted to go and said that she will now that she has seen our pictures.
Her name is Melissa S, so hopefully you’ll be hearing from her
sometime in the near future.
So that you can see some of our pictures,
I’ll send them via Kodak Share Gallery, so you can see how much
fun we had.
Thanks again for all of your help.
I look forward to working with you, when we get ready for another big
trip!
Sincerely,

Greetings -
We had a wonderful, relaxing honeymoon at Namale
in Fiji. It was exactly what we needed after months and months of
planning for our wedding. Namale was beautiful, the staff was beyond
hospitable, and the spa was amazing.
One of our favorite experiences was the special "Moonlight Massage"
where they shut down the spa for you and your partner, start you off
with a foot massage, and then treat you to a 1 hour+ body massage.
The entire place was lit by candlelight and had flower petals strewn
around. After the massage, we were able to enjoy the Hydrotherapy
Room (with its many pools, hot tub, and waterfall) which was lit by
candles and pool lights. A chilled bottle of champagne was waiting for
us. It was so romantic!
We had a wonderful honeymoon. Thank you for the help in coordinating
everything!

Lori
was our travel agent and she was wonderful. We had an amazing
trip and would love to visit again. We were specifically looking
for a place to take our 2 1/2 year old son (who we never leave with
anyone but family) and we heard the Fijians were very good with little
ones. Well I must say, the childcare far exceeded our expectations.
Surprisingly, the individual nannies at two of the three resorts we
stayed at were the best (Beqa
Lagoon and Garden
Island Resort). The individual attention and willingness
to meet his every need was exactly what we were looking for, especially
in a strange place with unfamiliar people. At first I thought
we would only be able to leave him in childcare at Cousteau but it
turned out that every person we meet in Fiji treated him like gold.
I think that was one of the best parts of the trip, only because while
we were gone all day & some evenings we knew he was having a great
time too. It made our outings very stress-free.
As far as the single best experience, that is hard to say. I
think the diving in Namena was our best experience (at Cousteau).
It was incredible and while we dove on all three islands, Namena was
clearly the best. Additionally, I think we all gained weight
on the trip (even with all the activities). The food was amazing
everywhere we went and I have to say (being a big soup eater) their
soup was the best soup I've ever had in my life! We enjoyed
trying kava and just plain being pampered. We would recommend
Fiji (and McCoy Travel) to all of our friends, especially those
with children.
All in all, it was an amazing trip. Thank you for handling everything
for us, we will keep you on our referral list!

I
wanted to share with your how happy we were with our incredible
magical vacation and our agent. The person who is responsible for
that magic. Hiapo.
He went above and beyond the call of duty!! His ability to
listen I believe is responsible. He listened to what I had
to say about what I "thought" I wanted and... What I didn't say.
He must have paid attention because the vacation he put together
could not have been more perfect for who "I" am. Everything
was more then perfect! The Cruise, Swimming with the Dolphins,
the hotels, and Hana! Hana I just plain fell in love with!
Hana was everything he said it would be! I live in a very rural
area, had never been on vacation before (not a "real" vacation)
I love being in "hot spots" for a "little while", and love open
spaces without a lot of people for the most part. I do not
believe anyone could have put together a more perfect "Memory" for
us! A memory so strong and treasured that going on another
vacation next year is a top priority. Hiapo is who we will be calling!
Thank
you so much for the service you provide!! The Personal touch that
you, McCoy Travel give to people in a so automatic world.
In fact I had, prior to contacting McCoy Travel, called a few other
travel agencies, I got some brochures in the mail.
Then I found "you".. THANK YOU!!!

Aloha Melissa and Hiapo,
We have been meaning to write and tell you that
we really enjoyed our recent trip to Fiji.
Our
favorite experience was spending lots of time in the water snorkeling,
usually all by ourselves, photographing the clown fish in the sea anemones.
The staff at Matangi
took us on solo trips to beautiful Horseshoe Bay twice, and for one
of the trips they packed us a breakfast picnic. The Qamea
staff took us on a solo trip to Honeymoon Beach that was very nice too.
Several of the staff at Qamea helped us find the orange doves in the
trees.
Our favorite food was called “Frangipani
Pie”, which was an incredible pineapple meringue pie at Matangi.
Overall, we liked the food better at Matangi. We also liked the
outdoor shower there better since it is open to the sky and not covered
(important to us for the “outdoor” ambiance). We
got to attend a wedding at each resort.
Our
next big trip might be the Cook Islands. Too bad we didn’t
go when Aloha flew there directly. We are really hooked on the
South Pacific since our first trip to French Polynesia in May 05.
It’s difficult for us to get away for more than a week
to ten days, so we envy your long itineraries! We expect to
be hearing about Hiapo’s Caribbean trip, or at least seeing
it on the website.
We’ll give you a call when the wanderlust
craving starts kicking in again. A couple of photos are attached.
Thanks so much for helping us get this trip together - at the almost
last minute. We wanted a quiet time at nice places with incredible
snorkeling and that’s what we got. It wouldn’t have
happened without your help!

The whole trip was great for what we like to do. Navini
was very nice and relaxing, a great beach and great snorkeling. The
bure was very nice with very friendly staff. The service was great...
Out of 5 stars i would rate navini at 2 1/2. It's a very quiet and
relaxing place.
Matamanoa
was very nice even though we lost a night there. The manager was really
nice about it as you will see on the letter from her. Again the bure
was very nice (better than Navini) very spacious and clean. A great
beach, again with great snorkeling. The staff was fun. More things
to do and alot of activities, a nice pool with a nice bar. The food
was very good and you could eat from 7-10 with activities after dinner.
That night lost was missed because we liked it here.
4 star rating. The helicoptor ride was fun. what a way to see other
islands. I highly recommend that over a boat. We got a little
nervous about Qamea because at Navini and Matamanoa, workers
at both places said "say goodbye to the sun, it always rains
there in the north islands". (We never saw a cloud in the south)
It did. The first 2 days was steady rain and then it rained everyday
in short spurts but we did get a little sun on and off for 3. The
resort however was fabulous. Food was gourmet. The staff was great,
paying attention to every detail. Can't say enough about our Premium
bure. Again excellent snorkeling. The trip to private beaches
would of been better if the weather was better. It was fun though,
having your little beach by yourself. No one around. What makes this
place is the service, food and the bure. I'll rate the resort as
a 5+ one of the best I have stayed at. Overall i would rate it
as a 4 because of the beach and weather. I did see other reviews of
other couples having weather issues there.
Overall, we would go back at sometime to any
of our stays. They were all nice in different ways.

Bula
Mark,
WOW what a great Honeymoon. This resort (Qamea
Resort & Spa) was awesome! The staff was very friendly and I was
impressed how all the staff new all the guests names. The snorkeling was
great! as was the diving. We went on several tours and they were wonderful.
The food was great!! and lots to choose from. We also had dinner on the
beach and went to our own private beach...that was really neat, like being
on survivor, kinda.
The Rosies staff was a great comfort knowing we had someone to contact
and we loved the VIP lounge for the flight home.
Thanks
for all your help, and everything you did for us. We can't wait to go

We're back from the beach! Hawaii was so increadable! Everything
was so perfect and stress free. Our condo just felt like home
- and the Hilton was so surreal and unbelievable. The kids were perfectly
comfortable in the smaller car as apposed to a mini van, I'm glad we got
the small car, it worked out great for quick trips and easy parking.
Thank you for the help, we wouldnt have had the dream family vacation without
you! we hope to stay in contact to book our next trip- maybe even

First of all, Mike
in your office was terrific. We heard all kinds of horror stories
from other travelers about their experiences getting to Fiji
- and all of our travels went great. Taveuni
Island Resort was absolutley beautiful. The accomodations were
fantastic, the location wonderful and Tomasi (bartender, resident
comedian and all round super guy) made our stay. It was the most relaxing
stay we probably have ever had.!!! We took a few day trips while on
the island and found the local people, especially the children, to
be extremely friendly and the island itself is beautiful.
After Taveuni, we spent 3 1/2 days at the Sonaisali
Resort. It was difficult adjusting to a large resort atmosphere
after being at Taveuni Island Resort. The all day Catamaran snorkel
trip we took from the resort was the best we have ever been on. We
went out to reefs with our boat being the only one out there (with
only 8 people on board - so no 30-40 people hitting the water at the
same time) When you got in the water, the tropical fish were so abundant,
varied and beautiful -like we had never seen before. Then on the way
back, the crew brought us to this area where dolphins swam with the
boat; jumping and playing right next to us. There were probably 25-30
dolphins and this just capped off the perfect day on the water!!
Debbie and I are planning on making a trip
out to Hawaii in April or May, so we will be in touch!
Thanks once again for Mike's diligent service
and we look forward to working with your company again.

I don’t often times write client testimonial letters, but this
trip certainly calls for one! I must admit, I am an Internet shopper
and used to feel that my own “homework” would yield the
best vacation results. I can now say that is no longer the case.
Mike Brown is so patient and incredibly knowledgable, that I am hooked
on him and McCoy Travel. In talking with the other guests at Namale,
I easily identified that I had the best package and the best customer
service. We shared with Mike some personal preferences with specific
beverage labels, cocktail mixers and even the desire for a small tour
of the property, as many changes had occurred since our last visit to
Namale. Not only did the staff spend hours sharing with us the
improvements of Namale, but when we arrived at our bure – present
was everything we had requested (down to the six extra pillows!).
Incredibly, Ocean Spray Cranberry juice was stocked in our bure (per
our preferences) which could not be found anywhere else on the resort,
or in town! Mike answered all of my concerns before our travels
with care and concern. While at Namale, we realized an error in
our seat assignments for our return flight back to the States.
I sent an email and when we checked into the airline on our departure
– bingo! Our seat assignments were back in line. A
huge thank you to Mike Brown! Vacations are a sacred time and
often times costly – Mike assured that every detail was taken
care of and our vacation was incredible. I would expand on the
experiences at Namale, but the staff and the resort are so magical,
it doesn’t seem fair to try and convey the trip with words.
Magical – everyone should experience it. We will be returning
to Namale for a third time in 2008 and you can bet we’ll use Mike
Brown. Our sincerest appreciation for all that you did for us!

Aloha Melissa,
Our trip was fantastic. It was one of the best trips we have
ever taken. We enjoyed Tom and Joanne very much as well
as Joanne's sister Lil and the staff...We played volley ball
with the staff a couple of times. Two of the boys, Bola and
Jona taught me how to snorkel. Everyone was wonderful. We
felt like we were part of a family... I miss them....
Our experience with McCoy Travel was exceptional and Mark
was wonderful. You will be remembered when we need to book another

in mind for the future.

Mark,
Sorry for the delay in getting back with you...
The trip to Fiji and Namale
was everything we had hoped for. The Bure was beyond our expectations
with respect to the view and accommodations. The staff was extremely
friendly and eager to assist in making our experience enjoyable.
Traci and I have commented that we miss the staff about as much if not
more than as we miss Namale itself. We have already started making plans
to return for an anniversary, but that will be several years down the
road, unfortunately.
As far as my experience with McCoy Travel and yourself, it was very
satisfying. While at Namale, we met a fellow co-worker of yours,
but alas her name escapes me know... I want to say Melissa, but I know
I'm wrong about that.
I passed on to her my pleasure at dealing with you and how everything
fell into place quite nicely.
I will gladly pass your name along to anybody looking for a travel agent
services, especially if they are looking for something in the South
Pacific... I know I can recommend an excellent little spot in Fiji...

Thanks Again!!!

I want to thank everyone
at McCoy for recommending and planning the honeymoon at Namale
for my wife and me. The location was beautiful and the people
working at the resort were extremely accommodating and cordial.
In fact, I exchanged email addresses with a couple of the members on

we were able to view while scuba diving. All in all, the trip

Bula Mark,
Thank you....We had a fantastic time....I am so happy that we
went to Moody's
Namena Resort....Tom and Joanne and her sister Lil were wonderful...we
had all three meals with them and the other guests in the main dining
room. We really enjoyed everyone. Tom is an amazing man...
It is unbelievable how much knowledge this man has in general not to
mention how he contemplated each move to putting together this resort...I
was extremely impressed. The staff were all helpful and so friendly...We
played volleyball with them on two ocassions. Two of the boys
took me out snorkeling nearby and showed me how to do it...they were
very patient and I actually did learn how to do it! I thoroughly
enjoyed everything and everyone and felt so sad when we had to leave.
The only part that was tough was the boat ride to the island it was
2.5 hrs and I got sea sick both ways..Other than that I would recommend
it to all...

Dear Melissa,
We wanted to let you know how our trip went now that we've finally gotten
settled back at home again.
We arrived at Kahului Airport after a very long
flight. Let future customers know that they are now charging for meals
on long flights. No one ever has the nicest thing to say about airline
food, anyway, so we opted to eat after we landed. It was the suggestion
my friend, Christine, (that used your help to get to Maui only a couple
of weeks before us) to have one person get the baggage while another
goes to get the rental car. I was the only one on the shuttle, and the
only person in line at the rental car counter. When I drove out to pick
up Devin, the shuttles coming in were full of people.
Thank you for your phone message to check on us.
That was very considerate of you.
We were very impressed with the condo (Kamaole
Sands). I think it was much bigger than we needed, but given the
reason for the trip, it definitely fit our wants. We were so impressed,
that we made a video the next morning and put it on the web to share
with our friends back home. I just watched it, and can hear why people
mentioned I didn't sound excited. It must have been the morning or something,
because I really loved the place and especially outside of the condo.
In fact, if we just crossed the street, we could swim in the ocean.
There's something about how easy it was to go swim in the Pacific Ocean
that was a nice touch.
There was a washer and dryer with complimentary
detergent and the kitchen was big enough to give us the option to eat
in. There was a Safeway that was close and that came in very handy.
And it was very near to the location that we chose for the wedding;
only 15 minutes away.
After the wedding, we had a fantastic ride in our
limo. The driver was so courteous and treated us special. He made sure
we had water to drink, allowed us our privacy in the car, and let me
stay in the limo while Devin went in to the rental agency to get our
car. We loved our Ford Mustang, and had a laugh that *everyone* rented
a Ford Mustang convertible.
We met up with our friends at Mama's Fish House,
as you suggested. My goodness, it was so beautiful. It was the perfect
picture of paradise. Everyone enjoyed the food, but no one appreciated
it more than our friend, Jason, who is a gourmet chef. He was so impressed
and passed his compliments to the chef. They let us keep the menus that
they print out daily.
After
we said goodbye to our friends, we drove to our second condo in Napili
Point. Here is a picture that I took that will make me miss Maui
forever.
We were so tired that we went right to sleep and
when I woke up, Devin had found the nearby grocery store and was making
dinner in the kitchen. Again, we had the easy option to stay in like
a couple of honeymooners.
Oh, and the beach. I could never say enough about
the beach. The cove and the beach were just a walk away. We had fantastic
snorkeling experiences. I rented snorkeling gear in Lahaina and after
just a short swim, we saw the most beautiful fish and lots of turtles.
In fact, we had better snorkeling by the condo than on the trip we paid
to go snorkeling on!
There is a great restaurant that a coworker could
not stop talking
about: The Gazebo. At his insistence, I promised I would check it out,
and was very surprised it was right next door to us! We got there early
because there is a line and were treated to a fantastic breakfast. I
had the white chocolate macadamia nut pancakes.

We did a lot of things at Ka'anapili Beach and that was close to our
condo.
We went there for a luau, jet skiing, massages, and just an afternoon
at the beach with our friends. I did not have the fortune of snorkeling
there, but Devin said it was great there, especially near Black Rock.
Devin saw several turtles and was enthralled by the large numbers of
colorful fish. We launched from Ka'anapili beach on Trilogy Excursions
for the sailing and snorkeling trip. As I mentioned before, we had better
snorkeling near the condo, but they had good snorkeling places, too.
The crew was extremely friendly and really worked hard to make sure
everyone had a good time. I don't know if you have suggested them to
your clients, but we highly recommend them as great fun in Maui.
This trip was by far and away the best trip we have ever had. If I close
my eyes and think about the blue water and sand, I'm back in paradise
again. We would love to use your help again the next time we visit Hawaii.
Thank you so much, Melissa!
Sincerely,
K. Scherck

Melissa,
Overall, everything was great! We had a very memorable
honeymoon in paradise, and will cherish the time we spent there for
the rest of our married life. Thanks for helping us have such
a nice time.
The room was big and had a great bathroom.
The beach was really a treat! The beach was very private and had
all the amenities that anyone would need. Also we really enjoyed
the breakfast buffet at the hotel and the fact that there were very
few kids. The snorkeling on Maui was GREAT. I would highly
recommend the underwater preserve located just a few miles south of
the Maui
Prince. We went snorkeling every day, and hit every snorkeling
spot on our side of the island. If you like to snorkel that would
be the place to go, especially after the swells shift (October) because
the water was calm almost all day long. Finally, as you probably
know the Old
Lahaina Luau was amazing, well worth the drive.
We were pleasantly surprised with the location
and how modern our hotel (Resort
Quest Waikiki Beach Hotel) in Oahu seemed. The room was small,
but we had a balcony with a view of the sunset. The bed (pillow and
sheets) was really comfortable and there was a flat screen TV!
The location of the hotel was also perfect, right across the street
from the beach. Our Pearl Harbor tour was very informative and fun.
It got us out of Waikiki and we got to see a lot of stuff that

Aloha Michael,
Well I cannot even put into words how wonderful honeymoon was.
Maui is
beautiful and it was more then I could have imagined. Everything
is so pristine and simply beautiful. I want to take to the time
to thank you for everything. Your service has been great and
I do not think I have ever worked with someone as knowledgable
and nice as you have been. I will keep you in mind for my next trip
or anyone I know that will be going to Hawaii.. We did receive
your gift and it was greatly appreciated. The hotel was stunning
and possibly the best on that strip. There was not one bad thing
I have to say about it. Thank you again for all your help.....

Bula Melissa,
I am so very sorry that this letter took so long to reach you, but
I wanted to make sure that we thanked you for everything you did for
us on our trip to Fiji. It was such a gorgeous vacation, and none
of it would have gone right without you. Even when our flight was
canceled, you made it easy to change flights, and the overnight hotel
room you got us was glorious. Everything was beautiful, from the hotels
that you picked to the events and shopping you told us about. Even
before the trip, you were able to work with our last minute schedule
changes. You were such an amazing travel agent, and you went above
and beyond what any person could do. Thank you so much for making
our summer so incredible. I don't think we'll ever book with another
travel agent again. You were truly amazing.
Thanks again!

Dear Joanne,
Our trip could not have been more perfect other
than our wishing we had stayed longer. But isn't that exactly what a
great trip in paradise leaves you with. Thank you so much for all your
planning in this trip. I got the romance and relaxation I was looking
for and my husband the adventure.
Your gift to us of the Kauai Travelogue will always be a wonderful reminder
of the sights and experiences of Kauai and the Princeville

Bula Bula Mike,
Even though it’s been a month since our wonderful
trip to Vomo
Island Resort, it’s still the topic of conversation. Thank
you for recommending Vomo Island. My wife and I really bonded with the
locals. We became part of the family drinking Kava up in the staff quarters
a couple times. We had a great trip! ….no schedules, no TV, no
phones…..just what we needed.
The only thing I’d like to set up if we make
a return trip is to spend the last day on the island versus going to
Nadi Airport and having the room in the hotel. We didn’t care
much for the hotel and would have much rather spent more time at the
resort, then flown to Nadi Airport and stayed there until our flight
home.
Thanks again for the suggestions and making the
arrangements. We especially appreciated having a beach-front villa by
itself without another one attached to it.

Melissa -
Thank you for your email - below is the email I sent to Sue last week...
By far the best part of the trip were the Fijian
people. At the Taveuni Island Resort, the Fjian staff were always warm,
kind and happy. Please let people know that there is "life outside
the resort". Many guests thought there wasn't much to see or that
there wasn't any shopping in the villages - not the case at all. The
richest experiences were outside the resort.
Air Pacific was great, no complaints. Flight attendants
hung up my wedding dress up front with a smile, very accomodating.

Bula, Sue!
The resort is absolutely beautiful, and as you know, the Fijian staff
are fantastic!! We formed quick bonds with several of the Fijian people
and loved the culture, the village-- everything Fijian. I firmly believe
experiences are largely what you make of it and we had a wonderful time
as a whole.
Thank you for informing us about the Taveuni Island Resort! Eunice,
Anne, Thomas, Joe and many others-- including the dogs, Belle &
Tag, made for an incredibly pleasant experience. The wedding far exceeded
our expectations! The meke songe & dance and the kava ceremony--
are MUST DO's for the weddings.
Anyway, we'll be in touch soon to book the
Hawaii ticket. I'd be happy to diccuss anything further with you. Thanks
for your email and again, thank you for guiding us to Taveuni Island-
we fell in love with the Fijian people and the island.
With Kind Regards,

We had a wonderful vacation! Maui beautiful as was last time.
George bought me a Ukulele from Mele Ukulele. Plantation
was something else, not like any course around here. Shot my

so very much for your hard work for our vacation. Just to let

We had a wonderful time, not long enough, of course. Michael
set up the most wonderful vacation and didn't leave out any details.
We were up graded to a mini-suite in Oahu and invited to the Royal

Down to golf on both islands. I'm asking Michael to help with

Melissa,
Thanks for the reminder to rave about our honeymoon
to Fiji!
Mike
set everything up perfectly – flights were fine (the LAX-Fiji
flight was half empty, so there was plenty of room to spread out); connections
and transfers were seamless; and we were very pleased with Crusoe’s
Retreat and Matamanoa,
and the diving at each. Our accommodations at each place were
great (although we weren’t in one, the newly renovated bures at
Matamanoa are gorgeous.) Maggie, the GM at Crusoe’s, passes
along her fond hello’s to him. Oh, and it was a minor thing, but
we loved having access to the Captain’s Lounge on the cruise to/from
Matamanoa.
As for diving, the new dive masters/instructors
– Vili and Debbie -- at Matamanoa were really great; personable,
knowledgeable, and their operation seemed well run. Don @ Crusoe’s
was nice too, but we had a couple dives that led us to question his
safety judgment. On our second dive there, both of us ran out
of air on a deep dive in part thanks to an unexpected (not in the briefing)
swim against current – I got down to only 10 bar before I was
buddied up with another diver, who luckily had enough air left to share
that we could get through our safety stop. However, we dove a
couple times with Don’s assistant, Seta, and those were our favorites
of the trip, so overall, it was kind of a mixed bag.
Anyways, we appreciated Mike’s great itinerary
that met our budget, and accommodations and sights that exceeded our
expectations. Although Fiji probably isn’t in our travel
plans for quite awhile again, we’ll definitely keep McCoy Travel
in mind for future trips (I’ve always wanted to go to Belize!)
Thanks very much,

Sorry
it has taken so long to write but I've been really busy. We
had a fantastic trip with great weather, other than a lot of
wind. Our favorite island is Aitutaki because it was a lot less
crowded and the people were a lot more friendly. However
Rarotonga seems to have nicer beaches as a whole. We rented
motorbikes on both islands and that is the way to see the islands.
Both accommodations were really nice with the Royale Takitumu Villas
on Rarotonga being a notch above Are
Tamanu Beach Villas. We had a real nice anniversary dinner
on our deck overlooking the South Pacific. On Aitutaki
we were given a personal tour of the locations where the filming
of Survivor occurred. That was real cool. The water is so
beautiful I can't wait to return. I also played a round of golf on
the Aitutaki golf course. That was a real interesting course.
One good thing in our travels was that the security check points
went real smooth. We didn't have to wait more than a few minutes
so we had a lot of time to kill at the LA airport on our way to the
Cooks.
Thanks for all your help.

Bula Robin,
I can't believe it's over :-( We had such a great
time. Everything was absolutely fantastic, the whole experience (except
the flight back, we had a mechanical problem and had to fly back to
Nadi. So we were 4 hours late getting home).
We absolutely loved Navutu
and the Yasawas. The resort was great - clean, great people, amazing
food, and so much more. It was tidal, but we knew that and it was not
a big deal. Most mornings we swam at the resort, because there were
some great swimming spots there. We took picnics to some great beaches
in the afternoon, which the hotel recommended.
We used the spa quite a bit, and it was great.
Got to meet the owners and they were so nice. Everyone there was so
friendly and welcoming. We really experienced a lot of great things:
visited the limestone caves, lovo at the resort, lots of lagoon swimming/snorkeling,
and just relaxing.
Thank you so much for everything. I can't wait
for our next trip.

Bula Hiapo,
I have to thank you for suggesting Namale
for our Honeymoon vacation.
It over-exceeded all of our expectations, and we were very sad to leave.
The surroundings and weather was beautiful our entire trip and we indulged
in almost all of the activities the resort had to offer as well as a
few spa visits. The staff was extremely nice, helpful, and over accommodating
the entire time. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised to have had
the opportunity to learn as much as we did about the Fijian culture,
lifestyle, and traditions. Kava was a new and interesting experience
for us; so we had to drag a kava bowl back home and show our families
a bit of our experience. We even got to see some of the Namale staff
play in a local Rugby match. On top of the great time we had there we
made friends with other couples from all over the world; in fact we
will be meeting up with a couple in a few months that we met there.
I have to thank you again for your recommendation,
it was an adventure we will never forget.

Hello
Robin
I was planning on e-mailing
you as soon as I got back, but I found myself knee deep in school. I
came back late, and all my focus was on getting back on track with the
other students.
I can't thank you enough for
setting us up with that resort. It was breath taking, we felt like movie
stars, the resort was that luxurous. I have no idea how you were able
to hook us up with that place with my budget. The Cook Islands was perfect
for us. It felt so secluded, I felt like there was only a handful of
tourists there, the privacy was next to none. I think this place is
perfect for couples in our situation. I'm recommending it to all my
friends.
Robin I can't thank you enough
for this again.
I really hope to be in touch with you again soon.
I've attached a few photos that
I thought you might enjoy.
Take care. Thanks again

Bula
Sue,
We can't thank you enough. We had a great trip. Rosie's Travel
took great care of us, as did the hotel. The whole trip went off
without a hitch.
We got to LAX by 7:30pm. There was no waiting at the ticket counter
or at security, we just waltzed right through. They had closed off
the upper deck of the plane but they did give us exit row seats, Row 51,
and we had the row to ourselves. Didn't sleep much on the way over...too
excited I guess.
Arrived on time in Nadi. Rosie's greeted us, verified all our travel
documents and then drove us to the Outrigger.
We walked up to the check-in counter and said that we wanted to check
in and they said "certainly, not a problem". That really made it
nice. We got all unpacked and then met the bride & groom for
breakfast.
Can't say enough nice things about the hotel, the gardens, the hotel staff,
the food.....everything was wonderful. The rehearsal dinner was
wonderful. Both Luisa and Pruvena were very helpful and proposed
a special menu for us, even though we were holding the dinner in the main
restaurant. It turned out perfect!!!!!
The wedding itself was held at the Myola
Plantation. What a beautiful spot!!! We were very impressed
with them and their service. Beautiful wedding, wonderful reception!!!!!!
With the event behind us, Rosie's got us to the airport by 7:30pm.
There was a bit of a wait at the airline check-in but no wait at security.
We boarded the plane and got the upper level exit seats, Row 21 although
we did have a gentleman in the row with us. The flight over was
only about half full but the flight coming back looked pretty full.
The man sitting next to us has a place on one of the outer islands and
he has a cottage that he rents out. It sounded pretty nice.
By the way, the weather was very pleasant (low to mid 70's every day),
actually cooler even with the humidity, than the 80 degree weather we've
been having in San Diego. The only down side was that wind was howling
the day we arrived and it never let up...but it really didn't matter unless
you were out on the beach. The pool area and the gardens offered
a lot of protection.
Again, we can't thank you enough for a smooth journey.

Melissa,
We had a very enjoyable time in Hawaii thanks to
your assistance. All of the inter-island flights went well and
were fortunately unaffected by the security issues that cropped while
we were in HI. We should have stayed two days on the Kona
coast in Hawaii and one day in Hilo. In Maui we opted for one
Luau and cancelled Lele and others, since we didn't need the "show"
aspect. The scenery everywhere was spectacular and learning what
we did of the exploration and exploitation of Hawaii was very interesting.

Dear
Sue,
I can't believe it's possible but we had an even better time this year.
I think the kids being a year older makes a difference - Paul will be
12 in Sept. Paul did so much with Gaby and Pete and the rest of
the "guys".. They taught him spear fishing, sailing and we even went diving
- Paul loved it. It's something I swore I would never do but Danny was
a great instructor. Jenny was more independent as well and loved
spending time at the Bula Club. We got a different Vicka but we
all agreed she was even better than last year's Vicka. The weather
was on and off sun and clouds and rain but that's Fiji. Also,
the Sheraton
Villas were FANTASTIC. We would definitely go back. We
got a room on the ground floor opening right onto the pool. Is that
possible to request? The Japanese Tepanaki restaurant right next
to our room was great.
Thanks for all your help in booking such a great and memorable vacation.

I have to thank you so much for everything you did. We were
not disappointed at all. The condo
was more than I thought it would be, so much space, the pool was wonderful,
everything was so perfect. Everyone that stayed at the condo
were just so surprised on how wonderful it turned out to be. Everyone
would meet at ours and mingle and enjoy just being there. Once
Sabrina and her sister had a big BBQ in their back yard patio, it
was great!
Everything we did was great.
The ATV ride was a bit much for me, so I was escorted in the jeep.
The kids all drive ATV's so it was a little mellow for them.
The snorkel was the best, I have never done anything like that.
Having all my family and friends doing it was so much fun.
The Luau was great having
my kids and family and then my cousins all of sitting next to each
other. The only thing we missed was seeing fire dancing.
But other than that it was so exciting.
Thank you so much for doing
all that research for us and making the plans.
The only thing I was disappointed
about was my kids did not get a lei greeting at the airport.
At their hotel Maui
Prince they got some beads, but I was hoping they would get a
lei greeting. We got ours at the airport and my group was so
excited.
When we plan the next trip
there I hope you are still working. We feel we can really trust

I am sorry for taking so long
to get back to you. I have had to travel a lot for work lately
and finally had a quiet moment to answer your email.
McCoy Travel was a godsend.
There was a couple of times that I needed assistance on obtaining
a vehicle and finding out information about a certain event and McCoy
came through with flying colors, and made our vacation a wonderful
experience without any blemishes. McCoy Travel was very helpful
and informative and directed us to certain events that really enhanced
our vacation.
You ask what was the most
memorable moment? Watching my mother and sister smile as we
cruised the highway on Kauai and went to the Botanical Gardens on
Kauai. Also the enjoyment everyone got while attending the Lahaina
luau. Many of these events were suggested by you before we traveled.
The most important and wonderful thing that I got from this trip was
watching my mother, sister and fiancee smiling throughout the whole
trip. I have never seen my sister smile that much in my life.
To this day my sister seems to be a lot more relaxed person.
Once again, on behalf of my
family, my fiancee and myself, we would like to thank your company

drank Kava, went Scuba diving, snorkeling, played tennis, air hockey,
watched a movie, had a night at the spa-- so much to keep us entertained.
Most importantly, the people that worked at Namale were so friendly,
they made our trip much more special.

Robin,
Thank you... I wanted to be in touch with you to say what a wonderful
time we had in Hawaii. The place was perfect---really luxurious
for us--- and the people there at the Waikiki
Resort Tower could not have been nicer. They were always cheerful,
helpful, and courteous. We couldn't have hoped for anything better.
The only negative of the whole thing, was of course, that our oldest
son (Martin) couldn't be with us... Fortunately his wife and children
were able to come, so there were 13 of us, rather than 14... We had a
blessed time together!
As I told the men who did the valet parking--- we'll do that again only
if we win the lottery!
Thank you very much for all your work in getting us the right place and
for your concern and prompt attention whenever we had questions or difficulties.
If it is appropriate, please forward my comments to your supervisor...
we would happily give you a recommendation!

Bula,
Mike,
We've been wanting to send you a note about our trip to Taveuni, Fiji.
We had a wonderful time, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery, warmth and
kindness of the Taveuni Island Resort Staff, delicious food, and the resort
activities. It was exactly what we needed. It was also very nice having
the day room in Nadi to take a shower and get ready for our long flight
back home. Vinaka!
The flight between Nadi and Taveuni was an adventure, especially each
landing. We're a little nervous and fortunately Malu didn't have any problems.
We did talk with the pilot about Malu's situation. The plane views were
gorgeous.

We had a really nice relaxing
trip.
While the location ended up
being perfect for my pregnant travels, the Four
Seasons was not quite what we were used to. I think in the
future we'll continue to stay away from large hotels and seek out
places that have individual bungalows and are operated on a much smaller
scale. We just were not used to the smaller patios, doors slamming,
and hearing our neighbors.
Also, I don't know it
is Hawaii, the season, or if have just grown accustomed to the
waters of the Carribean, but the tide was quite ruff which made swimming
and snorkeling unenjoyable. But that gave us time to enjoy
other things like some of the great hiking both at Manele
Bay and the Lodge.
It was really nice to have access to both resorts and we took full
advantage.
But overall it was a very
nice week of rest and relaxation.
Thank you!

Thanks for the inquiry. We,
on the whole, had a very nice trip. We had no "glitches."
However, as we were advised,
NCL is not on the same level as other cruise lines we used. The
service was mediocre at best. We were advised to make reservations
at the alternate restaurants as quickly a possible. Norm did so shortly
after embarkation. The main dining rooms were nice, but we did have
to wait in line several times for a table. Also, some of the items
on the evening menus were the same night after night. On the whole,
the food was OK in the dining room. The buffet, we used for several
breakfasts and lunches was really rather poor. It was a last resort
for us. One evening Norm ordered some sashimi and sushi for an appetizer,
turned out the fish had been frozen, including the local fish. He
immediately canceled his reservations at the sushi bar. The bar service
and drinks were very good.
I wish we had been told how
small the stateroom would be. We would have booked a family suite
if we had known. We were advised that the room would be fine for three
people. In reality it was a nightmare. We were tripping over each
other, the extra bed etc. The cabin steward was the worst we ever
encountered. We had to request adequate towels most days as he never
seemed to remember to leave enough. I overheard him teaching a new
steward -- "never offer the service, only do so if requested.' Nice
attitude.
We rented a Hertz car at each
port. Hertz was there with a van each time and the service was great.
We were happy that we did
the cruise as my 13 year old nephew had never been to Hawaii so this
was a great way to visit. The highlight of the trip was his bicycle
ride down Haleakala.
We booked this through your
agency. Norm was less than happy with the tour company. The pick up
at the dock was at least 1/2 hour later than expected. He paid for
lunch and had to ask the tour leader to stop for it. The tour leader
had no idea lunch was included. As a result it was some sort of a
makeshift lunch.
On the ship we learned of
the "easy fly" program. We used it instead of the after cruise transport
we paid for through your agency. Having our bags taken from the cabin
and then picking them up at LAX was great. We were able to spend the
day on Oahu without worrying about bags or boarding passes.
Thanks for all of your assistance
with the trip.

The Honeymoon was great! Everything on the trip was planned very
well. The only aspect of the trip that I wish went differently was
the car rental scenerio. It seemed that Hertz had the least amount
of shuttles from the airport, and I waited about an hour for the car.
Hope this helps. Thanks for a wonderful time.

We are in Rosie's lounge on the way home and I couldn't stop myself from
checking email--I guess that is part of decompressing on the way home.
I will call you and talk about the trip, but just thought I would drop
a quick
note.
I am so glad Dive Kadavu was full. I can't imagine a better place
than Papageno.
Everyone there was so good to us, so genuinely happy that we were there.
It was like living in a garden--everywhere we walked was on a path among
the flowers.
The diving was reported to be spectacular, and the snorkeling was the
best with the possible exception of St. Lucia 40 years ago before the
coral started dying.
When I get back to Hawaii I will give you a call.
Thanks for a great trip,

Sue,
How are you? I just received a welcome back letter from Melissa. I would
love to post a happy client letter. Our trip was truly magical. Everything
was really great we had a wonderful time. We didn’t want to leave.
The hotel
was wonderful.. very tropical. Thank you so very much for making it
so memorable. I will truly always remember the first time I was in Hawaii/Maui.
My girls had a great time, my husband enjoyed it also, swimming on the
beach and at the hotel after hours in the dark was really cool. I can
go on and on about it, it was that nice. I couldn’t thank you
enough for making our vacation so wonderful. I look forward to
talking to you about our next year visit.

Well, we are back home but
still very jet lagged. ... Arrived home last night and went
right to bed only to wake up at 2:00pm this afternoon. With
all of the flights, rides, etc, it is a solid 24 hours that you are
up when heading home.
Qamea
was everything you spoke of. We met Justin and Courtney, Loui
and Agnes who were pleased with their trips as well. Everyone
at the resort was more than friendly and helpful. Unfortunately,
the weather was not the best due to the eco system craziness
that is taking place everwhere in the world right now.. It rained
quite a bit and was not too warm. We still did not
mind but would have liked a bit more sun.
My recommendations from the
trip:
-- Make
sure visitors take some type of insect repellent. We were
eaten alive by mosquitos and other insects.
-- The
ports of call restaurant is black tie only and we were not prepared
for that so had to find another restaurant when returning home.
-- Do
not tell the visitors to barter with the locals when visiting their
shops on Qamea only, as it appears that it is an insult if you do.
All other islands it is fine though.
-- Take
some sort of prescription drug - Cipro or Leviquin just
in case you get sick. I did and know some others did
also. Not sure what from. Maybe just the change of food, or something..
-- Not
much of a beach to "play in" due to the rocks and coral.
May be something someone may want to know if they think they are going
to "frolick" in the water a bunch. It is really designed to
get in to go snorkeling or get in a
boat to get to better water.
That is about it. We
loved the waterfalls, village visits, and church. It gave
us a great opportunity to feel what Fiji is really like.
Well worth the
visit. Really wish we took more time off, as it is so far away.
Thanks again and we will plan
to work with you in the future.

| Aloha,
We were very pleased with McCoy travel arranging our 10-night vacation
to Maui.
You were very helpful and we greatly valued all of your suggestions!
Our stay at the Maui
Prince Hotel was fantastic. They had excellent service and we loved
their grounds and beach! The only negative would be that the rooms are
satisfactory, but not spectacular. I guess it may be hard to live up
to the appearance from your room. However, I would definitely stay at
the Maui Prince again.
We enjoyed all of our activities! The bike
down Haleakala was fun. Very cold at the top and exhausting trying
to start your day at 2:00am, but well worth it. Cruiser Phil's was the
best and I would recommend them over any others! The Old
Lahaina Luau was fabuluous!!!!! We had so much fun there and the
whole experience made our trip extra special! We had a chance to see
the Luau at the Maui Prince Hotel and there is no comparison! The Old
Lahaina Luau is simply the best! We also did the Zip-line
tour. Tons of fun and a great day all around. We had great guides...
very personable and funny. I would definitely do that again! We also
made the trip to Hana. The CD we bought was great for our "guided"
tour. We absolutely loved the scenery on the way! There are just so
many things to say about what we saw, I don't have enough time. The
Road to Hana was well worth the day long trip!
C. enjoyed her spa services at the Maui Prince and I was quite impressed
with the 2 rounds of golf
I played at Makena. The only negative was that they didn't have record
of my tee times, but they quickly resolved it and got me squared away.
Golf at Makena was quite affordable since I was a guest at the Maui
Prince.
I would certainly use your services if we are fortunate enough to travel
to Hawaii again. I have already referred you to a friend of mine who
will be using your travel agency to plan his next Maui trip.

Mike,
We wanted to thank you for assisting us on booking our Hawaiian vacation.
It was truly paradise! We had a wonderful time and we were amazed
at how our schedule and connections were perfect. You did a great
job. We feel we saw as much as possible in the 10 days we were traveling...530
pictures later and lots of video. I can recommend a pre-cruise as
you suggested. We liked getting acquainted with the time change,
climate, culture and atmosphere before we cruised. I feel this made
us more prepared for the islands. Polynesian Tours worked like clockwork
but still gave us flexibility to be on our own some. The tour guides
were so very friendly and knowledgable. We learned so many interesting
stories of the area and language. Truly beautiful! Thank you
for making our dream vacation just right! We will highly recommend
your services to any of our friends who may want to venture to the Hawaiian
Islands!

| Hi
Melissa,
I've been meaning to email you ever since we got back - it seems like
things have been non-stop at work, etc. Thank you again for hooking
us up at Matamanoa.
We loved it!! The island was exactly what we were looking for. The water,
sand, palm trees were perfect. The coral reef (which surrounded the
entire island) was incredible - the snorkeling was definitely the highlight
for us. We spent all day every day snorkeling, walking the island and
just floating around in the water. It was quiet and very mellow, not
real fancy, which was fine - we don't care about fancy. Everyone we
met was great. Lots of New Zealanders, Australians and Italians, which
was refreshing.
One day, we did the island hopping activity, and got to see four other
island/resorts, all of which I had considered when researching Fiji.
We concluded that we had ended up on the best island for us! The lack
of kids on Matamanoa was great - when we visited the other islands,
we realized how lucky we were. We also did the Sea Spray sailing and
went over to a village and to the island where they filmed the movie
Castaway. That was fun too. We got two massages each, so we were pretty
much rubber by the end of our stay.
Thanks again for your help with Fiji. Sorry it took me so long to write.
Take care,
Mandy

Mark,
Fiji was beautiful and the people where wonderful. The Outrigger
was great. When we first got there our room wasn't ready but they put
us in a temporary room until ours was ready. Then our room was on the
6th floor room 621. Very nice room. They really spoiled us with Butler
service, Champagne and goodies ever night. They even turned our bed
down at night and left us with water and put a beautiful flower on our
pillow's every night. Wonderful!
We did a couple tours but not to much. We went to the Arts Village which
was really nice. Lot's of history about Fiji. Then we went to an island
for the day. That was really nice. Weather was really nice. Cooler than
some of the weather we are having here in California. We did get rain!
Kathleen met some girl's from Australia and New Zealand. Nice girl's!
Then we took a taxi tour from some people we met next door. The driver
took us to Suva, The capital of the Big Island, and then we stopped
by a village called Orchid Island. The chef of the village gave us a
tour of his temple, animal's and an amazing turtle that we got to see
up close. This village was almost destroyed by a really bad flood in
April. Today it looks beautiful.
Just wanted to let you know Rosie's was okay they didn't have a tour
of this wonderful place the Orchid Island. I would recommend this place
to anyone who goes to Fiji.
Thanks again for helping us with this unforgettable trip. We just loved
it!

Michael,
The trip went well. Our first stay was great, a nice beach front cottage
at a good price. Very personalized service and the food was excellent!
Matangi was good
as well. Again very personalized service, and they were very organized
with our travel etc.. The treehouse was really nice, very private and
romantic. Very glad I upgraded to the top.
Diving on Taveuni was excellent (we went with TovuTovu, the guide Tyrone
was really great).By some rare chance we really never saw the sun for
the whole 10 days!
As suggested for our departing night we went to Danarau and had a great
meal at the Westin Steakhouse which was a nice end. If you come across

Sue,
Just got back last night and everything ws FABULOUS, FANTASTIC, GREAT,
WONDERFUL, except the weather (boo!) -- in 13 days we only had 3 days
of sun and many days of rain. But when we return, we would go back at
the same time since this was so unusual. LOVED Cousteau
and Yasawa
-- the Yasawa bure was, as you know, incredibly beautiful -- staff members
at both places were exceptional --
We did everything -- visited
the villages, mangroves, and church services, snorkelled, fished, etc.
And Rosie's was great. Always on time and so accommodating. We ended
up renting a room at the Westin because our flight was delayed from
11:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. -- they gave us a great day rate even though
we rented the room from 5:00 p.m. to midnight.
So now I'm planning our next trip and I need your help and advice --
another tropical island experience for 2 weeks in December -- what would
you suggest? Tonga? Solomon Islands? Cook Islands? Where else?
Vinaka Sue. We loved every minute of this trip --

Hiapo!
Wanted to let you
know that my Dream Trip to Fiji surpassed my expectations!
It began when my daughter surprised us at the airport with an upgrade
to business/first for our 10 hour Honolulu flight.
We had good weather - it only rained for a 1/2 day during our stay.
We feasted on rack of lamb, steak, large crawfish tails, lamb shanks
& a variety of fish & vegetables. The villa at Musket
Cove was great, the staff wonderful, (they took the time to learn
our names) the sunsets spectacular and snorkeling colorful. We were
the only Americans at the resort & felt special. I want to tell
you that low tide was Verrrrry low but the beautiful pools made up for
this. There also was a deep swim-snorkel area past the sand floor bar.
The people of Fiji are most hospitable and I wish the distance to this
incredible spot wasn't so far.
Vinaka for our welcoming flowers
and arrangements with Rosies and your recommendations that made this
trip very memorable.

| Hi
Vanessa,
The trip was wonderful. Dad is great, finishing round 6 of chemo and
feels fine. We had a great time. I think that the nights at Kilauea
Lodge might have been the best of the trip. The rooms are nice (not
fancy, but very well done with fireplaces in some). The free breakfast
was great-- fresh papaya with lime and blueberry pancakes beats free
boxes of cold cereal any day. We hiked out to the lava flow at sunset,
which I would highly recommend to anyone visiting. Long rough hike,
but worth it. The Hapuna
Prince was great. I don't know how that large a hotel could feel
so quiet and crowd-free, but it was nice. The beach was great. And after
all the worry about the rooms, they were wonderful. We were upgraded
to full oceanfront, and there couldn't have been a nicer view in the
hotel. I'm at work now, and I can't remember the name, but one of the
smaller snorkel tours was really nice. We tried to get a spot on one
of the larger boats, but were glad that we ended up on the smaller one.
I'll let you know the name of the company if I can find it in the guide
book. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to snorkel near the Captain
Cook monument. My parents are already talking about our next trip to
Hawaii.

Bula Hiapo,
Having returned home for awhile now, I feel the need to commend Hiapo
for the dream vacation he arranged for us.
Not knowing what we wanted, I spoke with him and allowed him to arrange
all. Wowwwww! Did he ever.
Taking three weeks and visiting three islands was fantastic. Each island
was wonderful and each resort breath taking. We enjoyed each and felt
that the vacation just kept getting better from the first day.
Hiapo's arrangements were great and we never lacked for service. Everyone
at each resort was wonderful and made you feel at ease from the moment
you arrived.
Having said all this I called within one week of our return and had
Hiapo book us a return engagement to our most favorite island, Taha'a.

in the 1969-ish time frame as a 12-yr old) and barely recognized the
place, but it was fun and comfortable. The Blue Lagoon Cruise exceeded
my every expectation, as that cruise essentially immersed us in the
Fijian culture by both the crew being all Fijian, the places we visited
including a Fijian village, and the hospitality -- not to mention the
Kava, yum yummmm! I can surely recommend a few high tides to each of
my friends!
Diving was absolutely fantastic!
Saw all kinds of cool stuff including reef sharks, moray eels, blue
spotted rays, octopus, and of course fish of every size, shape, and
color. Did two dives in the Yasawas and another 6 near Matangi Island.
But our stay at Matangi was
just awesome! As it turned out we and another couple were the only guests
on the island for the better part of the week. When we left, 3 new couples
arrived, so I felt I had to turn the island over to them, which I really
hated to do. But the Matangi staff stopped at nothing to make every
wish come true, including candlelight dinners and letting us reserve
their own Horseshoe Bay (on 2 separate occasions) for our own use --
and get this, they let us tell them *what* we wanted to do and *when*
we wanted to do it, not the other way around like at most resorts with
predefined activity schedules. Awesome!! Mr & Mrs Douglas are very
nice people. We met their dogs, their chickens, one of their bulls on
the coastal trail (that was fun navigating around on a narrow path!),
their goats, and their pet bat, Jonathan.
So, in a nutshell we thoroughly
enjoyed our 25th anniversary trip to Fiji.
And we have you to thank for helping us to make it happen. We especially
are real glad we had a hotel room upon Nadi arrival and departure as
that made it easy to clean-up and reconfigure before proceeding onward.
And both the accommodations and service were up to our expectations
throughout our vacation.
Cindy, thanks again for all
your help. As I've mentioned several times to you in the past you are
very professional, have been very helpful in every aspect, and an expert
in the fine art of travel advice. I'd like to leave you with a picture
of us on the last day, on the deck of the restaurant on Matangi, with
the island of Qamea in the background. Just look at those happy faces,
not happy to leave but just plain happy (sounds sappy, I know).

Vanessa!
Thank you for your warm message
at our condo while we were in Maui. We absolutely loved our stay and
we actually looked at some real estate. Hopefully we can own and rent
out but it is soo expensive! Our unit at Napili Point was great. I was
reading the guest book there and it seems it was one of the better updated
ones and some people actually complained about other rooms and got transferred
to that unit we were at and were satisfied. I think we had Maui beginner's
luck :) When you called, we were already out to Molokini, snorkeling.
It was the only day of the week that they actually went out there because
of the weather. I will send some pictures soon. I am actually on a business
trip right now in Atlanta, but I wanted to say mahalo for our wonderful
trip!

I just wanted to write you about our wonderful Perillo
vacation in Hawaii. We saw so much in the 12 days that would not
be possible without an escorted tour. We will stay busy for the next
few weeks editing pictures and creating a DVD of the trip. It was a
perfect choice and we are very pleased with your service. All our questions
were answered promptly. Further, thanks so much for arranging the champagne
for our anniversary. We had a bottle in each room except for the Hyatt
Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa. Three bottles was way more than we
could have expected.
Based upon the total trip, it was fantastic and we would recommend you

| Hello
Joanne,
Thanks for your email. Remember me? You set up my trip to Waikiki
in March.
Meant to email and thank you earlier than this, but have been working
like a slave since coming back to San Diego!
Fortunately for me, the rain stayed away during the window of my trip
for the most part. My friend, who rented a condo on the beach for the
month wasn't so lucky or happy.
Your arrival lei was very nice as well as the candy in my room at the
Parc!
Thank you again for that and your great service.
Trip ended up bittersweet for me in many ways. Since I remember Waikiki
fifty years ago in my memories, the new Waikiki is like Las Vegas. Needless
to say, I won't be going back anytime soon. The Mai Tai's at the Halekulani
were as good as ever as were the pupus so that was a plus.
Am thinking of a great condo rental in Maui
sometime in the future.
Aloha,

Joanne did an excellent job in helping with not only our travel but
my friends and family who attended our wedding at Kona
Village Resort on The Big Island.
We loved Kona Village before it was overtaken by children the week before
Easter. Our tranquil environment definitely was short lived at this
resort but it was beautiful. I'd love to go back when it is adult only.
Our favorite bar
was Huggo's on the Rocks- great live music and cocktails- Some of our
wedding party indulged in some appetizers and said they were delicious.
On Kauai, we LOVED the Beach
House Restaurant- pricey but worth every penny and the mojito's and
mai tai's were delicious! We stayed at a very cool B&B on Kauai
called Bamboo Jungle House in Kalaheo- very nice owners who were very
knowledgeable about local activities and events.
Thanks to Joanne for flawless
travel and accommodations! We had a fabulous trip and look forward to
another Hawaiian get away in 2007!

Mike,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, but things have been quite
hectic since my return from Fiji...
Anyway, to sum it up, Matana/Dive
Kadavu was FANTASTIC!!!! This trip was second only to my first trip
to Fiji, which was extra special for the mere fact that it was the first
Please do keep in mind that this is a comparison to Tokoriki, a much
costlier resort, so the praises I make regarding Matana/Dive Kadavu
should be viewed as exceptional....
As for the accommodations...
Hard to believe, and I was truly shocked (and pleased), but I had the
most comfortable bed I have ever slept on while on vacation. Simple
thing, but greatly appreciated. We like the simplicity of the bures
and the spacing of the bures, which not only provides privacy, but a
sense of not being at a resort. I must say, the other guests, a maximum
of 4 at any time, were a treasure as well. All were friendly and outgoing,
which made for great conversation and lots of bantering. We really enjoyed
the "family style" dining. Dion is not a mere cook, but a
creator of delights.
I have likely gone on much more
than you were expecting, but I cannot say enough or aptly express how
truly wonderful it was. To highlight: Snorkeling-Phenomenal, Dining-Exceptional,
Staff-The Best, Location-No Better. LOVE IT!!! What would I change??
One bure with twin beds, so that we can return that much sooner and
more often!!! Seriously, Matana is, in my experience of Fijian resorts,
a "startling find". At this time, I am envisioning my return
and expect to do so within a year as there is lots more to explore and
do there.
So, Mike, you totally aced it this time and for that I say, Vinaka Vaca
Levu!!!
Most gratefully,
R. Graham

Thank you so much for finding us Qamea,
we had the best vacation ever and so hated to leave as you know since
we tried to add on two days, we had the dilemma we have been having
for a week or so before the trip come home with only one day or three
days before work, as much as we hate being home it probably worked out
for the best, we are zombies today, with the overnight flight and the
time difference, I would not be ready for work tomorrow. We just hated
to leave, what a wonderful place, amazing people and place. The owner
was giving us a great deal too another free night too bad the airline
was not as available. Thanks for your help though in trying.
Thanks again, thanks also for
the champagne you gave us and for your help in having my brother send
us champagne, what a surprise that was, we had such a wonderful anniversary,
had dinner on the beach the two of us, and everyone sang us a song and
gave us your champaign and then a cake, it was so wonderful, thank you
so much for helping us to have such a great 20th anniversary !!!

Thanks for everything. We had a wonderful Hawaii
experience. Lynne's wedding was so special and perfect; she was glowing!
Wow, the Kona

Seriously, Alison
and I were very happy with our travel arrangements. The flights were
perfect (the airline is SO prompt).. and the hotel was fine. (We knew
we were going discount, so we weren't expecting 5 star luxury). The
Outrigger
was fine for the price. And the free shuttle to town/shopping/nearby
resorts was so handy!
We ran into that
little problem with the hotel trying to refuse the breakfast buffet
deal, but we called the 800 number and the agent fixed it immediately,
so that was nice.

It's been a little over a week since we left paradise and I miss Maui

hiccups, you were right...everything flowed FABULOUSLY! From the blue

to the helicopter

Donald is still raving about his birthday. He was impressed from the
moment we entered the Maui
Prince. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I loved the seclusion. We've
decided that no matter what island we visit...the Maui Prince is the
place for the accommodations. The single issue - since this 'gift' to
him was so great, it's going to be hard to top! That just means I have
to enlist your assistance with any future surprises! You were great
and I have been singing your praises to all interested in travel!

Our favorite part of the trip was you! We also liked the waterfall

but the luau
was great. Austin did end up surfing one day and it was one of our favorite

Bula Hiapo,
We had a terrific time on Matamanoa.
The snorkeling was fabulous. We have never experienced such coral and
fish viewing as what we saw right off of the island. The white beach
walk and mountain climb gave us a little workout when we wanted it.
We found many places to get away from the usual gathering of the other
guests (around the pool). Most of the time we felt like we had the whole
island to ourselves. It was truly what we both needed to relax...seeing
nothing but white beach, blue water, and sunny skies.
We were glad we had the air conditioning. It was very hot and very humid.
We could see rain coming in the distance but it did not reach our island
or affect any day activities. The hotel staff were all wonderful. It
was a delight to visit with them and find out about their lives. Rosies
VIP lounge was a nice final touch at the end of the trip. We were the
only ones in the lounge. The quiet was well worth it. We would definitely
go back to this place.
Thanks for all of your help and encouragement to lighten the luggage
to go on the helicopter. We heard the boat trip was a little rough.
Love your company and all of your knowledge about the islands. Keep
up the good work.

Hi Melissa,
We had a total BLAST the ENTIRE trip!!!
We had SO much fun - it doesn't get much better than that.
We loved the Whaler
(location, size, amenities) and every tour we went on was perfect!
We even added a whale watching
tour and another snorkeling
trip.
We also visited the Maui
aquarium on one day when it was looking rainy. That was a total
delight! Then we went driving around sight seeing on our last day and
saw some really cool stuff (the blowhole and the 7 pools). All in all,
it was one our best trips ever!
Thanks so much for everything you did helping us to get set up! I am
looking forward to coming back for spring break ' 07!
Here's a pic of us at the blowhole. While we were standing there, a
whale did a full breach about 100 yards off shore!!! What are the odds
of that happening right when we were there!?! Amazing!!!
SO thanks again for everything, and we'll be in touch when we return!!!

BULA BULA Melissa,
We're back from friendly friendly Fiji!!! We had a wonderful time. Vinaka
for planning our trip. It's always fun working with you. I'd like to
give you some information and feedback on a few things.
The Hideaway
was comfortable and our room...the deluxe beachfront bure was large
and quite comfy. It's a well appointed resort for a 3 star with many
activities run by the staff including cabaret shows that were quite
funny. We visited the Outrigger
and had lunch there. It seemed like a nice place too.
We rented a car and drove around and had a ball. Waterfalls, villages,
boat ride on the Navua river. There was plenty to do or not do and we
liked that. Also, snorkeling right outside our room (almost). Ken dove
on all three Islands.
At Mana
Island Resort, our upstairs/downstairs villa was spacious and comfortable.
Mana has some newer bures that we looked at and they are quite lovely.
We went on the Seaspray to the Island where they filmed Castaway and
snorkeled and that was a fun day.
We LOVED LOVED TAVEUNI
!!!! We'd go back there in a flash !! THE TAVEUNI
ISLAND RESORT WAS INCREDIBLE !!!! I'm so spoiled. I love 5 star
places. We had the entire resort to ourselves the first night and the
next three nights we shared it with one other lovely couple from England
and the last night also with a couple from Canada. Our deluxe ocean
front bure was the BEST!!! THE MOST PRIVATE!!! I was a little sick when
I got there. And I just fell asleep on the covered deck on a chaise
lounge listening to the lull of the ocean and healed !! It was soooo
quiet and peaceful !!! And the island itself is a gem. We rented a car
one day and explored. Went to a waterfall and walked on the well kept
coastal trail. The staff and food was incredible at the resort so we
never ate anywhere else since the meals were included. So we did see
the pizza place but didn't eat there.
You were so right the Fijians are so friendly. It was a delight.
Our last night at Tanoa was good. A very nice hotel and we did go shopping
in Nadi and that was fun!!
You did a great job planning our trip. Tuning into what we needed and
wanted.

Hello Lori,
Our honeymoon was wonderful! We enjoyed every moment of it. The Sheraton
in Moorea was beautiful and the Nui
in Bora Bora was elegance at its finest. All our transfers etc were
easy. Food was expensive...but we knew it going there. The food on Bora
Bora was better than Moorea. On Bora Bora a must go for dinner is Bloody
Marys and get the calamari app. A place for Adults- very romantic and
peaceful and expensive- not a lot of kids there- just not a place they
would have fun at. LOVED THE NUI!!!!!!!

Hi
Robin,
It was a wonderful trip! Here are a few high and low points:
Best things:
The staff at Le Matai Dream Fakarava
The food at Le Matai Dream Fakarava
The deluxe air conditioned bungalow we upgraded to at the Tikehau
Pearl Beach Resort (it was amazing)
The pool at the Radisson in Papeete
Worst thing: HOT, HOT, HOT. It was beautiful with super snorkeling below
the bungalow but too hot.
We loved all three resorts.
La Matai on Fakarava was the most rustic, but had great food and a great
staff. It was super clean too. Terrific diving on the island and snorkeling.
The people on the island were friendly. A great resort. It was our favorite.
Tikehau Pearl Resort was much more luxurious and more expensive. The staff
was very good, but not quite as friendly as La Matai. Good restaurant.
The overwater suite is stunning. Once we moved to that room, we never
left it or the huge deck.
The Radisson on Papeete was such a nice surprise. Beautiful modern room,
friendly staff, great food, beautiful location and pool plus a free shuttle
to town.
All three resorts had better service and food than the places we stayed
last time. We will be going back to Tahiti
in June of 2007. No problems with any connections, pick ups, etc.
Super job McCoy Travel!

She has always gone above and beyond the call of duty for us while planning
our vacations and this trip was no exception! We truly enjoyed our Southern
Caribbean Cruise on Royal Caribbean. (They lost my luggage, but that
is not your fault!) The personal touches and contacts made by your agency
truly make it a pleasure to work with you. We plan to use you again and
again and have and will continue to recommend you to anyone that will
listen!!

Melissa,
Hey young lady! You did a good job setting us up at the Sheraton
Kauai Resort. It definately had the best beach!
I was impressed with the girls at the car rental coming out to give
us our keys asap!! Very cool.
Next time we are going to include Lei greetings. That would take the
trip up a notch. It's amazing!
We'd love a list of restaurant pricing - $-$$$. I know that's a stretch....but
think of how great that would be for budgeting for young couples!!
Also...a suggested plan for activites....I know you offered...but you
might just send a week's calendar with ideas for how to spend a 6 day
stretch..that would reflect your knowledge of the weather, sites, etc.
Also, make it mandatory that we all buy that book "Ultimate
Guide Book" to Kauai ....before
we came. That had awesome information about tours, shave ice, activities,
etc.
Otherwise...it was really great!!! I like the breakfast thing!!! That
is crucial!! Na Pali Coast was suffacatingly incredible!!! Unbelieveable!!
Thanks for all your hard work!
We have allready decided on our next year's trip! A cruize to the Hawaiian
islands!!! I saw an advertisement for the Norweigian for 7 days!!!!!
See what you can find for next year.
Thanks,

Dear Melissa,
Ken and I want to Thank You (& all the people at McCoy Travel) that
assisted us with our vacation in magnificent Lanai, Hawaii. Thank you
for being so friendly, easy to talk to, nurturing & supportive.
Our vacation and stay at the Manele
Bay Hotel was a wonderfully relaxing and healing one, expecially
for me. I am afraid I've become quite spoiled being pampered like that
at the hotel. Perhaps we'll meed sometime in the near future.

Hi Melissa,
I wanted to let you know what a wonderful trip we had!! The Maui
Prince was great- we loved how quiet and secluded it was. The private
beach was wonderful!!! I am so glad we decided to the extra night- it
would not have been long enough with our original plan! The bike
ride was amazing-a little scary at first but what an amazing thing
to do. We truly appreciate all your help in making our 10th anniversary
trip an amazing one!!

Melissa,
Thank you very much for your travel services! You have been so wonderful
to work with over the months. There were several stressful moments for
us as we were planning a wedding, honeymoon, and activities
for 50 guests. We could always count on you to take some of the stress
away for us.
The luau
for the 50 guests turned out to be a great success and everyone had
a fabulous time! The honeymoon was more than we could've ever expected.
We stayed at the Fairmont
Kea Lani and the service was absolutely superb!
Thank you for your help and support in making our honeymoon the most
rememberable vacation we have had to date.

Hi Melissa,
The services you provided were excellent. We were very happy with the
Sheraton
Moorea and especially pleased with the Pearl
Resort on Bora Bora. Both very good choices and the length of time
at each was just right. .
The Polynesian people were so nice, it must feel like Hawaii was 40
years ago. Bora Bora had the most spectacular water and I think the
Pearl Resort was one, if not the best resort. I did not have the chance
to visit other resorts since the locations were difficult to get to
and restricted for the most part. Had we spent a few more days, I would
have made dinner reservations at a few of them just to see them.
The honeymoon package at the Pearl was wonderful, champagne and breakfast
included. The food everywhere was excellent. Even the fact that we did
not speak French was not a problem.
What a wonderful trip and a very special way to enjoy a honeymoon. Thanks
so much for your valuable expertise and choices. When we spoke, I knew
I could trust your choices because you were so knowledgeable and I felt
this was a trip you would plan for yourself.
Thank you!

Melissa and Vinaka, Vinaka,
I don't know where to begin
to thank you for the recommendations and arrangements you made for us
on our trip to Kadavu. You obviously listened very carefully to what
I wanted and you know your terrain extraordinarily well. I am so appreciative,
thankful, happy with your services that words fail to express the magnitude
of that gratitude. We had a fabulous time!...in every way, with everything
we did. You picked the PERFECT spot for us. My dreams were met and exceeded.
Dive Kadavu was wonderful, the perfect place for us. I really liked

life...both natives and travelers. I'm amazed. Read

~ Vanuatu ~ |
| Mark,
We had a wonderful
time in Vanuatu.
Thank you again for all of your patience and support in getting the
trip off. We all had a great time. Here’s
a review of our accommodations etc.
1) Destination Pacific Islands: They were extremely helpful and friendly.
They went way out of their way to help us out during our plane and hotel
transfers. I would definitely use them again. I know they may have been
slow to respond to our inquiries while we were booking the trip, but
I think they did the best they could considering the very slow pace
of life in Vanuatu.
2) White Grass Ocean
Resort: An expensive place, no beach, poor access to the ocean for snorkeling
and kayaking. I found the management generally unhelpful. I would use
it as a place to stay while seeing other things on Tanna, but would
not make it a destination.
3) Mt. Yasur Volcano: Located
on Tanna. The trip to the volcano passed by many villages whose inhabitants
all waved very enthusiastically at us passersby. While standing on the
rim of the volcano crater the volcano spit out bursts of lava about
1,500 feet in the air. We were warned to keep an eye on the falling
lava to avoid being hit. That combined with the noise of the explosions
and visible shock waves in the crater’s vapor, made for an unforgettable
experience.
4) Epi Guesthouse: We’ve
been to many resorts in Fiji, but our experience here beat them all.
The very large and comfortable house is located at the end of a small
bay with a small beach and a larger beach nearby. Snorkeling and kayaking
were supposed to be good there but the ocean was too rough. The hosts
were extremely accommodating and friendly. The food was the best I’ve
had on our South Pacific visits. The owners clearly have a great relationship
with the local villagers. This relationship translated into a very welcoming
environment and excellent and inexpensive tours. Epi itself is very
lush and mostly untouched by western civilization. For those interested
in experiencing untainted indigenous South Pacific cultures in a comfortable
environment, Epi Guesthouse would be an ideal place.
5) Le Lagon in Port Vila: Well
built hotel with lots of activities, pools, kayaking, etc., but the
location is not very interesting. For the price, the resorts in Fiji
(such as Castaway) are a much better choice.
6) Vanuatu: Port Vila was not
great, but our experiences with the local populations on Tanna and Epi,
combined with the beautiful scenery would have us eagerly coming back
again.
I’ve included a few pictures
of the volcano and the local population. (click

Thanks again,

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Hawaii.
Thanks to your help in coordinating our activity plans and accommodations,
we were very comfortable, found it easy to go from activity to activity,
and stayed within our budget. You understood our needs, guided us make
the 'right' decisions, and made it a trip we will remember for a life
time.
Every time we travel long distances, to new places, there are things
that come up in the plans that need to be modified based on various
unforeseen circumstances. As this happened you handled EVERYTHING for
us, made it so easy and comfortable...I did not have to worry about
anything, I knew you had us "covered", like we were family.
The breakfast buffet you added to our trip was actually one of the highlights
for the kids (and us)...gummy bears and M&M's...they had EVERYTHING
for breakfast!
Next trip, I will be calling you.
YOU ARE THE BOMB-DIGGITY!
Thanks for everything!

Thank you for all of your help with our Fiji vacation. It all went very
smoothly and we loved it. If I had to name a complaint it would be that
our bure #14 was not secluded, but it worked out well because I could
hear my husband at the bar while in our room. Other than that I can't
say enough great things about our vacation. I really enjoyed the Outrigger
in our bure. Also you could tell your clients staying at the Outrigger
that if they go down to the beach turn right and go up the hill there
are lots of other places to eat like the Crow's Nest--yummy and cabs
that are less expensive 1/2 price. This is where we found a ride to
Suva for only $130 FJ--the driver Ali gave us a tour on the way stopping
to shop before and when we got to Nadi, guarded our bags, and was just
great. We both fell in love with Maravu and all the guests there. All
the staff hugged and kissed us when we left, but the massage lady flo,
which was fine by me. We also ate at a pizza place across the street
and to the left of Maravu (a short walk), which had great pizza and
the best restaurant view next to the Crow's Nest. Thank you again and
send me some of your business cards. I am working on a Hawaii lead for
you already. I sent you a copy of our Fiji diary to let you know all
that we did.

| Hello,
I'm sorry that I haven't written sooner. Well, to start with I'm thankful
that Robin
was patient with us as we struggled to make our minds on how long to
stay. We had gone on a cruise on the Pride of Aloha back in May, 05.
We knew we wanted to spend all of our time on Maui. Robin was full of
ideas and ways to get the most for our money. We have been married for
28 years and just wanted a relaxing no rush here and there vacation.
That is exactly what we got. Robin suggested the romance package at
the Maui Prince, which turned out to be the perfect package!
By the way, working with Robin was like working with an old friend,
as if I had known her forever. The breakfast buffet was awesome every
morning. Our room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and our
ocean view was very nice. The hotel staff were very courteous and prompt.
One of the best things about this stay was that we had been to a luau
at this hotel back in May with our cruise and thought what an awesome
hotel this must be, and the location was beautiful. We went on a whale
watch and snorkeled. We had an awesome lobster dinner in the hotel one
night with our 100.00$ credit. We went into Kihei one night and had
tacos at Freds... Very good. Everything went off without a hitch. We
received our Lei's upon arrival. Robin made sure we had that to look
forward to. I cant say enough. We are considering another trip in February
2007 for 7-10 days. I would like Robin to work her magic again. Please
send me some ideas, and the same hotel would be nice too. PS we made
a new friend and played water Frisbee with him. His name is Kona.

Ms McCoy and Minerva!!
In response to your questions regarding our superb time in Hawaii is
difficult to answer. I've thought long and hard about the experiences
that Chris and I had on "Maui" and the "Big island"
but, I can't get the smile off our faces long enough to find something
that we didn't like.......hummm I'll try.
The arrangements that Minerva made could not be faulted in any way so,
scratch that thought. Even her idea about the fish place to try was
right on. Since this was our first trip with you and to Hawaii, we spent
most of our time in awe with our mouths open......."holy sh.. Chris
look at this" was the best that I could utter most of the time.
She could not say much with her mouth stuck open and eyes wide as the
moon.
But, if I were to get very nit picky.....got lost several times in the
Hapuna
Beach Prince...poorly marked signs inside and the major restaurants
were closed while we were there. Found out that we could have gone to
the other hotel next door but, didn't know that at the time. The room
and the service were unbelievable.....never been treated like that........well,
not since we left the Maui
Prince, that is. The rooms in both hotels were......were well, tearful
( that is.. tearful for us every time we look at the pictures of the
hotel room) I had to call for help with Chris when it came time to leave
them.....kicking and screaming in a straight jacket.....it was embarrassing!!!
Almost as bad as when I told her that she had to get out of the ocean
and off the beach to go home. I'm sure that she left scars on the wonderful
people who tried to help me to get her into the car. I'm sure that our
names are on a "blacklist" in the Kona airport.....they had
to hogtie her in her seat. She made sure that everyone less that a mile
from the airplane knew that she was NOT LEAVING HAWAII.....NOT NOW OR
EVER. "Take me back to my hotel room and leave me alone" has
been verbally engraved on the walls.
So, as you can see, the vacation that the two of you had arranged has
a good side and a bad side. We took a trip to PARADISE with a call,
or two, to Minerva and can find almost nothing to criticize.
On the plus side ; all the travel and hotel arrangements were perfect.
The hotel personnel were as nice and helpful as anyone could be....with
out failure. The rooms were glorious !!! Could not dream of better...the
views , the ocean waves breaking just yards away, the service, the ambiance
of the hotels and the grounds was just like a dream.
Aside from the things under your control ; the folks who live on the
two island were very open and friendly. We were never uncomfortable
with anyone or anyplace that we drove to. No looking over my shoulder
or hard types to watch carefully. (We come from the land of predators....Detroit).
The exception would be the "no guardrail" one lane roads through
the mountains. Don't drive on them in the rain or at night, Lynn. Scary
for most people and that includes my Christine. I missed a lot 'cause
I HAD to keep my eyes glued to the road. But, looking back, even that
was fun for me now that I can breathe again. The wild life that we encountered
everywhere was astounding.....birds EVERYWHERE, fish and whales were
there every time we looked, rain forest trees that dripped fragrant
flowers and warm warm air......what can I/we say??
WE will never be the same......THANKS.

| Hi
Melissa,
Thank you for the pleasant email. My Husband and I are bringing my parents
to Hawaii for their 20th wedding anniversary.
I wanted to let you know Mark
has been re”Mark”able in helping us design the perfect vacation
to fit our likes and dislikes and in a way that will save us money,
but not pushing packages or activities on us, that aren’t ‘for
us’. Since I am in Iraq, it is difficult to conduct business due
to the time difference and such, however, Mark has been so flexible
and willing to have things waiting for me in the morning when I come
to work, and it has been so easy picking out our vacation package thanks
to his dedication and personal service.
Regarding your offer for us to let you know any special requests we
have, the only one is that my Husband and I are over halfway through
a 36 month deployment, my Dad is two tour veteran of Vietnam, and my
Mom almost gave birth to me in a medivac huey moving between military
hospitals, we all look forward to a leisurely helicopter ride for a
change, though we must find an affordable one for the 4 of us. We are
not accustomed to spending so much in one hour of time. That would be
my only request for the discounted activities you offer. Everything
else, we can handle.
Again, thank you for the welcome to your company and I look forward
to our trip.

| Hi
Lori,
Thanks for your email! I also heard from Jeff at Vomo
that you had called to check up on us - we appreciate your consideration.
To give you some feedback, we had a wonderful time at Vomo! For the
benefit of your future guests, here's a quick run-down of the good and
the limited amount of bad:
Good:
- Food was excellent - it was like a gourmet meal every night
- The bungalow is quite nice - the a/c is definitely a big plus
- The activities through Crystal Blue/Reef Safari were great
also.
Even though the resort was at full occupancy, we were still
the only couple on virtually every activity we did. For the
Sunset Cruise, Scuba Diving, Deep Sea Fishing and the Village
tour, it was just Jessica and I. And the guides (Roko and Tui)
were the best - definitely two of the nicest people we met the
entire time.
Not as good:
- Vomo lailai is ok only. Not worth the afternoon if you have
other
things planned. It hasn't been maintained well and is full of
garbage and driftwood
- The beach is ok only - not the picturesque white sand beach
I think many ppl would expect
- The Rocks bar was under renovation, so was not an option for
dinner
- What surprised me the most were the number of families and
children there.
The majority of guests were actually families that come back
year after year, and it seemed they garnered much of the attention
from staff and the GM, over people like us. Very few honeymooners
actually.
Overall, everything was excellent.
The most important things for us were the accommodations, the food,
and the activities, and in all three of those categories we were extremely
happy. If we do go back to Fiji though, I'd probably want to try a resort
with a nicer white sand beach (less coral) and less children.

| Hi
Joanne!
Overall, the time in maui was pretty nice. There was a dinner reservation
mixup at Roy's, but things panned out okay. The Mendes
tour as well as the Lanai
sailing were great--so much food! The rooms at the Hyatt
Regency Maui were all and more than what you'd described! We were
surprised the food at The Plantation wasn't as good as anticipated--perhaps
it was the food type chosen...Roy's and Ruth's Chris, Tommy Bahama's
were all excellent with Tommy's taking the prize for island
food, Roy's for their chocolate souffles, and Ruth's, of course,
for their steaks. I wish we could have met up but understand the importance
of family. I did get to meet Misty which was nice to be able to put
a face to a name. Thanks again for your help with everything!

| Hello
Mike,
Sorry I did not get back to you sooner, but bottom line: You did it
again!! My father in-law and his friend had a wonderful time! They said
everything went very smoothly, from the flight to the transfer to the
ship to the cruise itself. They relaxed, had fun and enjoyed the food.
They took advantage of the island excursions, took a helicopter ride
over the big island and really enjoyed watching the lava flow into the
ocean. Overall it was a big success! They were very impresses with the
ship itself, the service and the food! I had told then to get the patch
against sea sickness (the one you put behind your ear) so they did not
get sick once. He called us twice from the ship to tell us what a wonderful
time they were having and he is 85 years old!
Mike, thanks a million! As usual you came through for us.

Sorry it has taken me so long to write to you but after we returned
home from our Australia/Fiji trip I got caught up in the holidays and
am finally catching up. We had a wonderful time at Matamanoa resort.
Rosie's was wonderful greeting us with leis and transporting us to the
helicopter-- a fantastic way to travel to the island -- what incredible
views.
The staff was warm and friendly at Matamanoa -- greeting us with cool
island drinks and a musical serenade before showing us to our lovely
beach bure. We immediately changed into our swimsuits and went snorkeling--the
coral and tropical fish were fantastic and the water so clear and warm.
We enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners--never needed more to eat with
the teatime and happy hour snacks. The evenings were fun with musical
serenades at dinner and games after if you wanted to stay around. The
new pool is lovely. We went on the daily free snorkeling trip and went
kayaking around the island and the days flew by with snorkeling, beachcombing
and relaxing in our hammock. Lots of interesting couples to visit with
from all around the world. We had a great time and too soon it was time
for our helicopter flight back to Nadi.

the visits to the village, THE FOOD. We are all still dreaming of the
banana pancakes. My children loved the hikes to the waterfall and the
water slide on Taveuni,
and I loved the magic coral and the blue starfish we saw diving. Yasawa
was a bit more upscale, we loved it.
The gorgeous beach, the outside showers, the fishing. We all out ate
ourselves over Christmas. Also, the Christmas program was spectacular.
The seaplane was fun, it was all great!
If I were returning I would
love to visit Qamea again. My suggestions?
Some candy available for purchase on site, a larger, better equipped
dive boat. We were a tiny bit disappointed in the diving. To be so close
to the Sonosa Strait? but not have a boat with the fuel capacity or
speed to get us there was surprising. If we brought our dive friends
(12 of us do a trip each year to a new locale), I would need to research
a new resort. Sam the dive master was wonderful and the diving was nice,
but just not the "world class" we were expecting.
But, my children were not there just to dive... so this will remain
a trip of a lifetime. Please let all the people know at both resorts
that we appreciate their efforts to make our vacation perfect... and
we love them all for it. We are planning on shipping a container next
month to Qamea... stuff for the Fijian children in all the villages.
Again, we loved
Fiji.

| Hi
Melissa,
Just want to let
you know that Kay and I had a great time on our trip.
Everything was sensational. The golf
was great, and we really enjoyed the horseback
ride and snorkeling
trip. We ended up skipping the Flumin the Ditch on the big island
because we wanted one extra day to just stay and relax at the beach.
We'll be sure to add it to our next trip. Both of the hotels were perfect
and we had great views from both rooms. We were on the gold floor at
the Orchid,
and that was especially nice. We were sad to leave and can't wait for
our next trip to paradise.
Thanks again for all your help. You really made our honeymoon memorable.

| Minerva,
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! You did an excellent job! Everything
was perfect and more!
I will use your services next time I visit Hawaii. You are the best!
The best part of the trip was laying around at our resort (Kaanapali
Alii)! Every travel agent we contacted told us it was impossible
to book at Christmas. Several agents told me it was obscene to even
ask for rooms at Alii at Christmas. I saw your name while on the computer
and called and you booked me in about 3 minutes! I didn't believe it
until I arrived and went to the front desk. Everything was in order
and the friendliness of the staff was awesome! Thank You! Thank You!
You people made me and my family the Best Vacation Ever! You get AA+++++

| Hello
Hiapo,
Cheryl and I had a great time in Bora
Bora. It is a beautiful place. The agent did a great job in describing
and helping us book the travel! We will book with you again. My wife
overcame one her greatest fears and swam with sharks 7'-8' long! We
woke up each morning to a beautiful view of blue water and emerald islands.
Aside from a few hiccups, our honeymoon went smoothly.
We stayed at the Bora Bora Nui.The room was fine and the view was stellar!
We will book with you again, but will be going to the Ritz or Four Seasons
once opened.
Kindest regards,
J. Davis

| Hi
There Hiapo!
We had a great vacation to Fiji.
I do not think that anything could be done to make it better. The people
were awesome and we made some great friends. Everything was spectacular
and we would certainly use your services again and refer you to others.
Thanks for everything.

Mike,
The vacation was everything we were looking for and far beyond what
we expected.
Musket
Cove was great. The villa and pool on the island gave us plenty
of privacy. Latter in the week we found that we would probably spend
more time BBQ by the pool then we had. food and service was great. Most
of the boats were not operating. I'm sure due to being the slow part
of the season. Next time would probably like to plan a 3 day trip on
one of the sail boats available out of musket.
Vomo.
Incredible food and unmatchable service. People were incredible.
Recreation center needs some work. One Hobie was completely unusable
and the other was close to it. The first day I toke it out the tiller
brook. I did a quick repair with the main line to hold it together and
continued sailing. It never was fixed while we were there. I talked
with the recreation bure guys a couple of times about getting a bolt
(which was all that was needed) to repair it. Also the recreation bure
closed at 5pm. That really limited the use with working around the tides.
Great trip and looking
forward to another.
I had a guy stop
me in LA because I was wearing a BULA shirt. Gave him your card. Feel
free to send me more as I have had a lot of people asking us about the
trip.
Thank for your efforts.

| Thanks
Brenda and Mike,
We returned last evening after a truly enjoyable and hassle-free trip
to Australia.
The arrangements you made were excellent. Ground transportation--excellent.
Punctual, courteous drivers. I can't remember the name of the kind woman
who met us at Auckland Airport (?Diane), but she was especially gracious.
The Hilton Auckland is Excellent, and breakfast buffet is first rate.
The Sofitel Queensland is also Excellent. Hamurana Country Estates,
Rotorua. Excellent. Bucolic setting. Gracious, generous hosts, who put
on an exceptional New Years Eve dinner. Highly recommend. Transportation.
All excellent.
Have a Great New Year,
