The Honua Kai was GREAT. We were especially happy with the Feast at LeLe... it was exactly what we were hoping for. Thanks for the recommendation.

Loved the snorkeling cruise we did; but next time would opt for a catamaran cruise. Other than that, we had a great trip and wished we could stay alot longer!

We hope to travel with you again.

The crew was above and beyond friendly. We had a wonderful time at the Old Lahaina Luau (it was beautiful and romantic just as you described), and we LOVED the Road to Hana and followed your directions to a "t." Tammy from the banana bread stop said "hi" but we never did find Bunny. :-) We love all of the beaches you recommended too. We totally fell in love with Maui and can't wait to go back!!!
Thanks again SOO much!"

Thank you, Melissa for your newsy letter :-)

I forwarded your last note to a friend. He and his wife might be interested in staying at the new condo you wrote about. I also alerted another friend to the fact that you also book Australia trips. They are planning one in 2012. We have been invited to accompany them but do not know if hubby can stand the long plane ride. Time will tell. We are truly looking forward to our February Kona Village vacation that Hiapo is helping us plan and hardly a day goes by that it isn't mentioned. Hiapo's note about his travels was very informative too and I am really excited to be working with McCoy Travel.

We could write a book on our wonderful experiences in Qamea, Fiji Islands. The trip was a "heavenly" experience. We have never had such an awesome vacation! The island was gorgeous, the coral reef unbelievable, the people were beautiful, and the resort was out of this world!

Mike did a wonderful job of lining up our travel and connections to give us a vacation of our life. Our travel was seamless and worked like clockwork. We have nothing but praise for Mike and your agency and have recommended you to others many times. We were also very surprised at our "thank you" spa treatment and bottle of champagne from Mike. We felt very special. Thanks, Mike!

The service and attention of the staff at Qamea Resort and Spa was marvelous. They are a beautiful people, so kind and friendly. It really amazed us that they could all call each guest by their first names the minute we arrived and continued throughout our stay. They were the warmest and kindest people we have ever encountered. We were like family while there.

The land and people are unspoiled. The area is VERY RELAXING, but not to the point of boredom. One could be busy as wanted, or as relaxed as wanted. It was a wonderful experience to be in such a pristine land
without TV, LOTS of people, and the hustle and bustle of the busy city life. We would recommend for all to take a trip to Qamea Resort and Spa.

On our trip to the village and school, we discovered warm and accepting people. The children were beautiful and so polite. We soon realized that the school was in need. Although we took notebooks and pencils, we found
that there was a lack of books. Others took school supplies too. I would like for you to advise your clients that if they are so inclined and would like to share with the children, books suitable for K-6th graders would
sure be appreciated to begin a small library that was lost in a recent hurricane. Travelers need to know that there is a need and appreciation by the people who visit. I have made it my campaign to get the children a nice library and books in their homes too. Thank you.

McCoy Travel Family

We wanted to drop you guys a line since returning from our adventure to the Hawaiian Islands. We want to thank you so much Hiapo for putting the trip together for us. My wife and I had to put off our honeymoon 10 years ago due to family and financial limitations. Patience is a virtue and this trip met those expectations and more. We spent the first two nights in Oahu at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in the Rainbow Tower overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Pearl Harbor was a very moving experience and we enjoyed the step back in history. The city tour allowed for us to get a better grasp of the Hawaiian History prior to islands becoming a state. We spent the remaining time on the island of Kauai. It was so beautiful with the turquoise water and mountainous landscape. We stayed at the Sheraton on Poipu Beach. We spent our days taking a helicopter tour of the island, a boat tour of the Napali Coast, multiple snorkeling trips and a luau at Smith's. It was a great time and we will never forget our getaway . We have already had some friends ask about the trip and they have expressed desires to make the trip as well. We plan on sending them your way. You guys have got it down to a fine art with a flawless system. Thanks again for all that you guys did for us.

Hope to stay in touch.

We had a fabulous vacation on Maui! It was really hard to leave, and even harder to arrive home to the daily grind. Next time (and there will definitely be a next time), we are going to need something closer to 2 weeks to really bask in the relaxing pace of it all. Here are some of our thoughts on the places, and please be sure to let us know if you have questions:

Honua Kai - was a beautiful place - spacious, comfortable rooms, huge lanai, nice facilities, lovely grounds, good restaurant. The kitchen could use a bit of shelving for food as the dishes took up all the cupboard space.

Kea Lani - What can I say? It's the Kea Lani. We love it. Absolutely love it. Beautiful rooms, grounds, pools, beach. Impeccable and friendly service. Fantastic breakfast buffet. No wonder we keep going back. We loved them when they put us in that Villa four years ago, but we also love their regular suite! :) We love almost everything about the Kea Lani. The ONLY downside is that they no longer have a reasonably priced restaurant to have dinner with your kids.

The beaches at Wailea and Makena are sooooo great, and they were much more accessible to our children than Kaanapali. I was surprised by this, as I vacationed for years on Kaanapali with my own parents and siblings when I was growing up. I remember playing in the ocean all day, every day. But the ocean in front of Honua Kai was too rough for our kids the first few days, and was too immediately deep for them to play in safely. There's no sand shelf. The Wailea beaches have that (a soft, sandy, gradual bottom), plus the snorkeling, so our kids were able to boogie board, body surf, and snorkel all day. We saw a huge (probably 5 ft) sea turtle down there - totally awesome!

We had fantastic meals throughout the trip, did part of the Hana Highway, went to Haleakala, and just all around enjoyed ourselves. I really can't wait to go back. We were sorry not to get to see you and give you a squeeze. Next time, okay? If you have any questions about any of my comments, please feel free to call me. Thanks again Lori, we had a fantastic time! :)

The trip was excellent, thank you very much. Namale was almost perfect with super nice people, excellent facilities and service. They really went out of their way for our anniversary dinner with music, cake and room decorations. I told Anna, they probably have never seen people who stayed together for 35 years. We have broken the Namale record (it was 30th anniversary before). The diving was badly affected by the weather but I did get certified, so I am happy. The villa was excellent although AC was rather marginal.

Hawaii was very good. Four Seasons is Four Seasons - always the same and always good. We found ourselves talking about Namale all the time which tells you how much we appreciated it. The golfing was very good and lava boat even better.

As for your services, no complains whatsoever. I am very happy and will mention you on TripAdvisor. You do not have to change anything.

I hope your NZ trip was equally good. Thanks again for your help and we are looking forward to using your services again. I promise I will share you with others against my common sense.

Hey Melissa & Hiapo,

Thanks so much for checking in. We had a wonderful time. Our son got to practice snorkling with the boogie board that had a face hole in it - he could float on the board and use his snorkle to watch the giant turtles, He loved it! He aslo liked the fire dancer at the luau.

Hey Melissa,

I'll start off by saying that everything was how we imagined it. Hotels were accommodating and exceeded our expectations. Which reminds me, thank you for the gift basket. Our favorite experience had to be the zodiac tour of the Na Pali coastline. Food and scenery was awesome.
Hiapo gave great advice on which island to spend the most time on. We definitely needed more time in Maui then Kauai.

Thanks for all your help.

Hi Hiapo and Annette,

We just wanted to send you a note to thank you for helping us plan what was the best vacation of our lives! The service that the both of you provided was top notch and we truly thank you for making our honeymoon so special.

Hiapo, the hotel accommodations were amazing! I have to say, the St. Regis in Kauai is unlike any hotel we've ever stayed at. Thank you so much for helping us change our car rental to a convertible. Cruising around on the beautiful islands of Hawaii with the top down was awesome. And of course we really appreciate the bubbly that was dropped off in our hotel rooms on both Kauai and Maui.

Annette, thank you for providing the detailed information on the road to Hana. We stopped at the banana bread hut on the Keanae Peninsula. It was absolutely delicious! The activities we booked through you were so much fun. We enjoyed the surf lessons and snorkel trip to Molokini especially. We liked surfing so much, we booked them again before we left Maui.

We have been back to work for two weeks now and it's only 50 degrees here in NY. Luckily we took many photographs in Hawaii to remember the awesome time.

Thanks to you both again. We of course will mention your names to our friends who will be going to Hawaii in the upcoming months/years.

Great to talk to you this afternoon, I was way out in the "gunnels" of garages cleaning and putting away summer furniture etc.... winter is approaching quickly. I had a couple of more thoughts after we spoke. First, thank you for your great news letter the other day always fun to read what is going on in the islands, as we have spent alot of time there.

Thank you for all your help we have been telling our friends what a find you all are, it is certainly a niche that is needed in the travel business. Also, thank you for the heads up on "Aloha wear" I can tell this is going to be a very relaxing holiday.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Hi Hiapo,

I just wanted to send you an email after our first day here. So far the trip has been beyond amazing, more than I could have expected. I did not tell Tara any of the details of the trip, so the first class airline trip over, the honeymoon bure once we got here, etc. She has been totally amazed so far, this was exactly what she wanted for her honeymoon. I was surprised with the level of service from the staff here. Everyone we meet introduces themselves to us and wants to know how they can make our stay here more pleasurable. This was an unexpected surprise to me.

Thanks again,

I know you are on vacation but thought I would send a quick note to let you know that we had a wonderful time at Taveuni Palms. Unfortunately, Kelly and Tony were not there but on vacation, however Derek took great care of us. Andrew and I both commented that we felt it was the best vacation we have had. Fell in love with Jimbo and the rest of the staff and absolutely LOVED Taveuni. The only problem was that we did not get to stay enough nights and are planning to go back (as soon as we can) and for more nights. I really didn't know if it would live up to my expectations after reading your e-mail and the comments on Trip Advisor about what a wonderful place it was, but it surpassed all of my expectations. Thank you again for all your hard work in making this work for us as it really was exceptional.

Have a wonderful time in a New Zealand. I will be in touch soon - as soon as we can figure out when we might be able to get over there again (and this time, I will book it far in advance!)

As Posted on "TripAdvisor"

Wow! Taveuni Palms not only met, but exceeded all of our expectations.
After reading most of the previous posts on Trip Advisor, I will admit my expectations were pretty high, but still had doubts on whether I might be a little disappointed. I can say that we were not disappointed in the least – what a vacation!
After a long flight we arrived and were met by Babbu and Derek (filling in for owners Kelly and Tony while they took a much deserved vacation) and dropped off at Coconut Grove for breakfast while they finished getting the lower villa ready for us. An hour later, we were whisked to the resort, greeted with lei’s, bula drinks and the staff welcoming us with their beautiful Fijian singing. It was overwhelming to say the least.

We were shown to our villa and could not have been happier. The location is spectacular and we immediately felt ourselves relax and melt into the day. Jimbo (Kelly and Tony’s lab) came up to greet us and we knew it was the start of a great trip.

I am the type of person that has to plan everything out and we immediately went down to see Anna to schedule the activities for the week. Anna was so kind and just smiled at us and took notes, letting me know they would get back to us. Teila came to meet with us regarding our dinner selections and our activity choices. Teila is one of a kind – she listened to what we wanted to do and then smiled and gently suggested that we switch some things around as some of the excursions we wanted to do fell on the weekend or holiday and would be much more crowded (crowded for Taveuni that is) than if we went on a different day. She was so right – we were the only people at Bouma Falls when we went, and only saw 4 other tourists during the Lavena Kayak/Coastal Walk.

We went out snorkeling with John (boat owner/captain) and Johnny (staff snorkeling guide). John knows all the best places to go, as previous posts have indicated. The coral and fish colors were absolutely amazing. Additionally, we did the south island tour one day and visited the waterslide – we had so much fun. The local village kids showed up, so we actually got to see them “surf” the waterslide – it was amazing. Unfortunately, we never made it out on the resort sea kayaks, but plan on getting to that on a return trip – yes, we have already booked a return visit and are counting the days.

The meals were delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The staff is so amazing – they are all so friendly and are always smiling. We, too, were invited to Sia’s village for the lovo. It was such a great experience, something we felt everyone should do if presented with the opportunity – it really makes you think about what is important in life. Fijians are the nicest people we have ever met. As we say, we arrived as guests but we left as family.

And finally, we usually book our travel plans ourselves, but this time we used Faye Bartlett at McCoy Travel. It was such a pleasant experience to work with Faye. The flight was pretty full by the time we were booking and she was able to work her magic and get some seats released so we were able to purchase the tickets we wanted. On top of that, she saved me more money than if I would have booked the trip myself.
All in all, the best vacation we have had to date and well worth the money.

Thanks again for your great help in booking such a WONDERFUL vacation! The Grand Hyatt in Poipu was very kind to us, providing a partial-ocean view that also overlooks the courtyard. The amenities included were fantastic, including a complimentary bottle of champagne and a day-long cabana rental by the beach free of charge. After visiting the north shore for snorkeling and the east coast for plenty of shopping, we definitely made the right choice by staying in Poipu at the Grand Hyatt. You got us a fantastic deal, and the whole trip went without a hitch. Our only regret, as I'm sure is common, is that we didn't book it for long enough!

All the best, and should we return to the islands, I'll be sure to give you a call!

We will for sure be asking for your expertise when we go to Fiji again as a family. In the meantime any places we should be keeping our eye on? Someone said there is a great family resort on the other side of Likuliku?

Did Tracy mention they now refer to us as the responsible parents after we jumped off the 45 foot waterfall at the end of the Lavena Coastal Walk? I attached a picture of me jumping. We also missed our flight from Nadi to Taveuni and flew in on the cargo plane. It was amazing and we were so glad it happened. Just us and 2 pilots in a tiny plane. Such amazing views. Daily volleyball was also a highlight and we decided to do the resort scuba with Jamie and are hooked! We will be scuba certified when we go back. And of course we miss sitting nightly with the Band Boys drinking Kava. We are both suffering from severe post paradise depression. I told Tracy to let us know if they ever have a job opening as we will sell everything and move to Taveuni in a heartbeat!

I can tell you right away that my experience was exceptional! The travel to and from Beqa Lagoon was without a hitch, and the information you provided regarding the duty-free being open early in the morning upon arrival was correct, in spite of the doubts of some of my co-travelers.

From my perspective, the Fijians at the Beqa Lagoon Resort did an amazing job of making us all feel welcome, comfortable and safe. I thought the diving was very good, the dive crew outstanding, and most of the sites they chose were pretty good, if not excellent. Plus, I'm glad I opted for the shark dive. It was incredible! Next time, though, I'd be sure to turn around during the first dive because sharks were cruising by us, and some of my fellow divers neglected to point it out. Otherwise, I would have seen even more sharks! I can definitely recommend it.

The other thing that really stood out for me was the food. It was like dining in a 5-star restaurant! And your suggestion to always order the dessert was spot on. I was extremely pleased with the food. And it was such a nice touch that the wait staff learned each of our names quickly and always used them when addressing us. Very cool and special!

Of course, the people I went with, Fabio's Fabulous Dive Buddies, made the trip very fun. For a group of 11 people from varying backgrounds I was pleasantly surprised at the chemistry between us all.

The only wrinkle in the trip was that my camera was stolen at the resort. I have my suspicion who it was (another guest), but no confirmation. I felt my belongings were safe there, and never expected something like that to happen, but there are always dishonest people everywhere you go. In spite of what happened, I didn't let it ruin my vacation. And others took enough photos for all of us, so I've got plenty to show my family and friends here in Portland.

Regarding spreading the word, I've been talking up Fiji quite a bit and told several folks that I booked through your agency. When I get a minute, I'll get on TripAdvisor and comment there, too.

I'm sure I'll be in touch because I'd like to visit Hawaii this winter.

The rooms at St. Regis we decorated nicer, more comfortable beds, and substantially larger than the Four Seasons. However, the food, spa, and overall "vibe" of the Four Seasons, my husband and I thought, was better. The spa was world class! We had a 3-hour couple massage that ended with a mineral bath for two!!

Thanks for mentioning our "VIP" status with you, I really appreciate it and look forward to working with you in the future.

Thank you thank you!!

We both had a great time on the Fiji trip, thank you so much for the arrangements. The 7 day Blue Lagoon cruise was a delight we were very lucky to have had the B.L. CEO on board during the cruise that may have made things even better. The crew on the ship could not have done more for us, 1 crewman for each 3 passengers. This was truely a Birthday Trip to remember. The stay at the Westin was again great & Rosies Travel Service was outstanding. We had them arrange 2 day snorkling trips from Denarau Harbor that were outstanding. I would have to say that the best thing about the trip was the friendly & and helpful people we met in Fiji, the staff at Rosies, the Hotel staff, the ships crew as well as people on the streets.

Denarau Harbor has a number of very good restaraunts with reasonable prices, the hotels are a bit pricy however. Local transportation is also reasonable. If & when we go back to Fiji we think we would like to go to several of the outer Island resorts spending several days on 2 or 3 snorkling & relaxing.

We will be spending Jan. & Feb.2011 on Oahu. We would like to visit Kauii sometime during the stay & wonder if you have any deals on airfare from HNL & suggestions on were to stay?

Thanks again for all your help.

Our honeymoon was an amazing experience, and there's no way we could have organized it on our own - Faye at McCoy Travel was a huge help and we're so glad we worked with you.

Our favorite part of the trip was the personal attention at Qamea Resort and Spa. It was amazing how every staff member immediately knew our names. The food and drink were great, and we felt the balance of relaxation time and optional daily activities was perfect for us. Also, the Lover's Tango Massage that you were able to include in our package was a highlight of our trips to the spa at Qamea.

Overall though, as I said before, it was great working with McCoy Travel. Faye was very helpful from our initial research phase to the booking to the actual trip itself. We'll be sure to look into using you again for future vacations.

Best,

Hi Melissa,

Overall, we had a great time on our trip and it was a pleasure dealing with Hiapo who was very thorough and helpful.
The best part of course was being able to contact him and having him arrange everything from our hotel, flight and
car rental and not having to juggle it all myself. We did have a room mix up, but once resolved things went very smoothly. And we really enjoyed the Four Seasons Resort in Wailea.
We didn't plan too much in the way of sightseeing, but the road to Hana was really spectacular, even though it was a long day's worth of driving, the views were breathtaking. We also really enjoyed Makena which was so close to the hotel and also provided incredible views. I loved going canoeing with the hotel's morning outrigger canoe group and getting a chance to go in the ocean and see the incredible sea life. Even though I'm not the best swimmer, they let me use a life jacket and with a pair of goggles I felt very safe and able to explore. I think that might have been one of my favorite parts of the trip. Seeing the live sea turtles and sea life. I had planned to go horseback riding in Makena and was really looking forward to it, but I got injured on my second outing with the canoe group when I got back into the canoe and hurt my rib. So that was a bummer.
I loved using the Four Seasons serenity pool at sunset and the jacuzzi to enjoy the magnificent vistas. And we took a few side trips to Kapalua, Lahaina and the Iao Needle which were fun. For the trip back, I hadn't realized that there was a three and a half hour layover in Honolulu. I do appreciate everything Hiapo did for us and will recommend your agency to our friends.

My wife and I went to Fiji for our Honeymoon and stayed at Namale Resort and Spa. We began looking at destinations about a year ago during which time we came across your web page. We were having difficulty determining which resort was the right one for us so I contacted your office for some advice. Faye Bartlett returned my call almost immediately and spent a good bit of time talking to me about the different resorts - the pros, cons, and costs of each. Ultimately, we decided on Namale due to a combination of privacy, available activities, room design, all inclusive nature, friendliness of the staff, and overall feel of the resort. Our talks with Faye were extremely helpful in making our decision, and we were very happy overall with the experience.

I feel that we got an outstanding vacation package by using your company. The three things that jump out in my mind are 1) Free upgrade to an ocean bure 2) credits that we were able to apply to our inter island airfare 3) access to the Rosie's lounge in Nadi. My wife and I could have easily made the arrangements by ourselves, but we would have had to have paid for all these extras. It is clear that your company has made great relationships that it can leverage on behalf of your travelers.

The communication throughout was outstanding. We were getting updates and emails from your staff from the time we called until the week before we left... not to mention your follow up email once we returned! As I mentioned, we started planning this trip more than a year out, and my expectation was once we booked the trip and arrangements were made that would be the end of it. I was very pleasantly surprised with all the follow on correspondence. If nothing else, it gave me confidence that if we did hit a snag during the trip your office would be up to speed on the details of our vacation and ready to help out.

In terms of your service, there is very little I can recommend to improve. It was truly outstanding across the board.

As I mentioned, my wife and I had an amazing time at Namale. The bures and resort were absolutely beautiful, there were enough activities to keep us busy but not too many that we felt exhausted, and the staff was absolutely amazing. We loved the diving and my wife absolutely loved the spa. The picnic lunches were fantastic, but mostly we just enjoyed sitting on our deck staring out at the south pacific. It's really too hard to pick out one single thing.

The only complaint we had was with the food and the drinks. The food was ok, but not great, and the wine and mixed drinks left a lot to be desired. Fortunately neither was real high on our priority list, but it is important to note because they simply are not up to the standard of the rest of the resort.

Without a doubt we will keep your service in mind for future vacations.

Thanks so much.

Hawaii is awesome! I loved it, not enough time though, next time it will be much longer. The resorts were beautiful. I really can't tell which was my favorite because they both had qualities that I enjoy, The Hilton Waikoloa was just beautiful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and it was so nice that it was included. The vow renewal was very nice Penei was very sweet and the photographer we had we really nice too, we got some really awesome pictures. We went on a helicopter ride with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, and I was very excited I didn't get sick, I was a little disappointed that the trip we selected didn't take us to see the top of the Volcano, There was just not enough time to explore.

The Hawaiian Hilton, I loved being in Oahu, all the activities going on there. Our room was fine.

The flights were long on the way out, I never dreamed that a 6 hour time difference would cause such a difference in your body clock. But it just made us feel like early risers!! The flight home was delayed until 9:00 pm which was awesome because we went Para sailing right before we left. My cousin asked his girlfriend to marry him while they were up in the air so that was really special and I would have been so disappointed to have missed it. So, I'm sure God made the flight late so I could be there!! :) Cause I've been coaching him forever on getting engaged!!

All in all the trip was awesome and I am going back and staying 2 weeks next time. I'm even thinking of going back with my husband next May for our 25th Anniversary, (if we can swing it). Thanks for everything!

Aloha!!

With patience of a saint when I changed my mind a thousand times on the dates and the location I wanted, to her resourcefulness in finding and securing the very best deals for us, to her quick responsiveness to my thousand emails and phone calls, her sensitivity, humor and kindness to my frantic rush to secure our honeymoon, Faye worked a miracle on the very, very limited budget my fiancé and I had, and had us upgraded to the very best-overwater bungalow lagoon with VIP status, in order to make our dream honeymoon in Tahiti come true! If this isn’t a happily ever after ending, I don’t know what is!
I'll send a photo of us in our overwater bungalow soon!

Our trip was the greatest experience of our lives. I think the single best experience was our wedding at the St. Regis quickly followed by the food, service, and overall accommodations at both the St. Regis in Bora Bora and the Paul Gauguin Cruise. Everyone that we worked with was EXTREMELY sincere and authentic, anticipating and exceeding our every want. It was truly a magical experience.

Thank you.

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply - it's been a busy summer! Our trip was wonderful, thanks so much for all of your help! Thanks also for the lovely food & drink that was in our room at the Fairmont Kea Lani when we arrived.

My favorite part of the trip was the snorkel trip thru Trilogy. The staff was top-notch in every way. Funny thing, once we got back I was looking through my Maui For Dummies book again (where I found your agency) and found info on Trilogy. I didn't see it before the trip. They got a great rating, but there was a caveat about them becoming "too slick"....I didn't find them to be that way at all. Oh - and a warning, the trip back from Lanai is very choppy (they said it's always that way), for me it was very scary but I lived through it, and it didn't change my opinion of the whole day at all.

The hotel was fabulous also! The staff was great, and I loved how they came around w/cold towels, ice water, and pineapple slices during the day. Their cabanas are very reasonably priced. You could choose either $100/day which included free drinks, juice, fruit, etc or $100 for two days not including the extras. We got the cabana for 2 days, worth every penny on days where there isn't a cloud in the sky. As a comparison, the cabanas in Wisconsin Dells resort hotels run $100 - $200 day depending on the season.

Dinner at Nick's Fish Market was superb, and also the most expensive dinner we've ever had! The bill was $400+ for 4 of us. We expected it though, and it makes for a good story. In my opinion though (I'm not a fish eater except for crab & scallops) the best meal I had was the BBQ on Lanai after our snorkel trip. I've never seen my son eat two pieces of chicken and two helping of peas!

Other highlights were Lahaina village and the helicopter ride, though I didn't go on it. Just Joe and the kids. I get air and sea sick (took Dramamine before the snorkel trip and I was fine). They mail you a DVD of it, so I got to see it anyway. A funny - rather weird - story surrounding the helicopter ride. We learned that there is a big push for time share resales there in Maui. The guy at the snorkel shop, who rented us great snorkel sets, tried to give us a huge discount on the ride if we spent 2 hours listening to a time-share salesperson. He was very, very slick about it and we almost bought into it. After that we noticed lots of people in the area trying to sell deeply discounted activities if you spent the time listening to the spiel. That was probably the only dark spot of the trip.

I hope this email isn't too long for you - I figured the more I told you the more you could tell future customers :-) All in all, it was a fabulous trip and my husband is already talking about us going back someday.

Thanks again for all your help - I'll be sure to use you again in the future if we do go back there, or any other place your agency can help with!

~ Grand Cayman ~

Our recent trip was great. Grand Cayman was a wonderful place to take a family vacation. The water was warm and the diving was beautiful. The first place I've been where I could dive without a wetsuit (I get cold in the bathtub). We ended up chartering a boat through Divers Down because the first dive operation we used (Red Sail) that was through the Westin just had too many people on it and had limited options for dive sites. I became spoiled after diving in Fiji and Tahiti with the small boats. Divers Down had good reviews online and their crew was really nice and was good about recommending dive sites. My stepdaughters also got their Advanced Open Water Diver Cert through them. The Westin was a very nice to place to stay and had a nice pool and beautiful beach. Please let Lori know it was a great vacation and we really appreciate her good job. We look forward to having you help us with our next travel plans.

I recently had the opportunity to work with Faye wherein she assisted in booking a trip to Fiji for me and my husband. Faye was fantastic and definitely put the effort in to make my dream vacation happen. She answered every e-mail and phone call promptly and always answered all of my questions. I usually do all of our vacation planning/booking myself, but after my experience with Faye, I will not hesitate to contact her before booking our next vacation as she exceeded all of my expectations! Faye is a delight and definitely an asset to your business, as I am sure you already know.

Our vacation was wonderful!!! Thank you for all the work you put into making this such a memorable experience. Thanks also for the welcoming snack basket. I couldn't stay away from the chocolate macadamia nuts!! The Fairmont was spectacular, our room was excellent and so was our view. We enjoyed the breakfast, it really kept us going all day. We toured pretty much of the island ( in our sweet red mustang convertible) Ron is still dreaming about that, and we feel that the Fairmont in Wailea was a perfect pick for us. Absolutely beautiful!!! We really enjoyed the tours, we were upgraded on the helicopter ride and viewed the whole island from the front seats with the pilot-- spectacular!! The snorkel cruise was alot of fun and very exciting seeing all the sea turtles, fish, coral, and even an octopus.

The luau was enjoyable and the ride to lahaina was unbelievable, it had just rained, and we saw so many rainbows!!! It was so beautiful pictures couldn't capture it. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed Maui. Oahu was nice, and glad we were able to see it, but didn't compare to Maui. Pearl Harbor was touching and definitely something to experience. We enjoyed watching all the surfers on Waikiki beach. The Royal Hawaiian was nice, ( pool is awfully small), but once again probably not fair to compare after staying at the Fairmont.
I really can't thank you enough, you were very pleasant to work with, and I feel you truly put together the best possible vacation package for us!!! Would definitely contact you for any future vacation plans!!

First, we had the best trip of our lives! Our Tahiti Wedding Ceremony was outstanding-we loved it so much!!!

The highlights of the trip were:
-the airline was great. They served 2 meals plus snacks and drinks and all of the headphones, pillows and blankets came without charge.
-The Sofitel resort is AMAZING! We visited other locations during our adventures and nothing looked nearly as amazing! Our overwater bungalow was like something out of a dream. The staff was great and friendly (though there was more of a language barrier than we had anticipated...it made it fun).
-Our wedding ceremony. It was intimate, beautiful and more than we could've imagined
-The motu picnic was our favorite excursion during our stay (and we booked several others while on the island). The company you booked us with were really cool people. They made us feel like we were hanging out with family.

All in all, we loved our vacation. We have recommended the islands as well as the travel agency to many of our family and friends already. We really would like to thank you for all of you help. We've attached a couple of pictures from our ceremony in case you're curious.

Thank you again for all of your help!!!

I want to thank you and your team for the wonderful planning and recommendations that made our 25th wedding anniversary most special. My wife and I could not have asked for a better trip to Moorea and our accommodations at the Sofitel were fabulous. The most significant part of our trip was the over water bungalow. We were able to sit on our deck and watch the fish right underneath our bungalow. We were able to snorkel right off our deck. My wife said over and over the ambiance was the most romantic she had ever experienced. Our favorite place to eat on Moorea was a small restaurant called Rudy’s. The owner made you feel a part of the family and the crab stuffed Parrot fish was out of this world. We also ate at Le Mahogany which offered a nice alternative. Our anniversary dinner was at the restaurant “K” at the Sofitel which was out of this world. I would recommend everyone visiting the Sofitel eat at least one meal at “K”. Very romantic!

One recommendation I would give for future vacationers is to find a grocery store early in their vacation to get breakfast food. We did this and it saved us a lot of money. The meals at the resort were quite expensive and we just needed a little something to get started in the morning…not a big meal.

We had the time of our life and appreciate the recommendations and help in making our vacation reservations. Everything was just as you advertised and exceeded our expectations. Thank you for your help!

We are just starting to think about a return trip to Fiji in September 2011. I contacted your website to get some suggestions, but figured I would get just some ads from you in a couple of days.

So I was most impressed when I received a call from Faye almost immediately. Then I was even more impressed (a) that she actually knows Fiji, and and (b) that she didn't pressure me to try to make an immediate sale. (We are not yet ready to book, and any pushiness would have just irritated me.)

So your firm is well represented by Faye, and we will be back in touch as our plans take shape.

I was truly amazed at the color of the water. I have been a lot of places but I have never seen water as blue as it was in Hawaii. Again, thank you and thanks to your group, it was a memorable vacation.

We continue to love Fiji and I plan to hopefully start a charity to help with some additional school funding. At a minimum, I plan to gather up a bunch of supplies and ship them over. We met a gentleman from the State Department who was at Matangi while we were there who is building the US Embassy in Suva who is going to help with the logistics. He will remain in Fiji until the Fall. The kids are truly amazing and they need some additional support. It would be so great if more people sent supplies to Fiji for the schools & children.

Corinne and I wanted to thank you for recommending Qamea to us and helping with all the arrangements. The experience was everything we had hoped for and then some. The magic of the resort and more importantly, the heart of the people we encountered during our stay was beyond words. We’re already planning for when we can go back and visit our new family.

While we were there I think I took about 1000 pictures! We still have not gone thru them all and selected a “subset” to send our friends but when we do we will be sure to include you. The wedding was wonderful, Cia and William took pictures and video and helped with the little last minute details with Corinne’s dress and flowers.

Would love to hear about your Tahiti trip… hope that was grand as well… we would probably still choose Qamea but it’s always nice to hear about other destinations too. We can also cross Samoa off our list… we got to spend a few hours there on the way out! (LOL)…

Hope all is well with you!

Hello Hiapo,

We had a fabulous vacation. At Papageno, they upgraded us to 1/2 a house, and it was beautiful. Zacharias, the dive master, is "one of a kind", like Dr. Doolittle under water. We were spoiled, since we were the only divers the 3 of us had the ocean to ourselves. Loved the short boat rides! Food was delicious. Elizabeth is so warm and friendly, a very nice hostess and bartender! Lydia, the nurse/resident and Scott shared a lot of stories. Initially, we were the only english speaking guests, everyone else was from Austria or Germany, but it worked out fine, we pieced together conversations with pieces of english and lots of hand signals. Week one was very laid back and ran on "Fiji time", since they were not at capacity.

Week 2 was quite regimented, schedule-wise, but it needed to be, with all those divers. The bure was lovely, roomy, private and perfect! We were very late arriving, due to plane issues on the other end. However, Seta (or Seto) the Captain waited for us and transported us back to Beqa Lagoon Resort in the dark and on rough water. Talk about "above and beyond the call of duty". The meals were unbelievably delicious and the staff so friendly. It was nice to have the daily afternoon activities and evening entertainment. The dive staff, every one of them, was so friendly and accommodating! The wait staff were fun and friendly. Tu Emo is the best! He was everywhere ...escorting us to church service, leading us to the school for a tour and singing, singing in the choir, teaching about "roots to fruit" of the coconut, dive master, working on the grounds, teaching us about the kava ceremony....he's a gem (and has the best giggle I've ever heard)!

The bartending ladies were a fun bunch. Scott loved teaching them new martini recipes.

Tap water at both resorts was yummy.........that was a nice surprise, and much different than our Fiji trip a few years ago to Matangi and Maravu (altho' those islands were great too)

We did accrue more of a "cash due" bill than we expected, but that's obviously under our control as a guest. We chose to pay for specialty dives at each resort. We paid for a lot of juices, to mix with our own liquor, but also bought at the bar (yes, we're lushes). Buying the liquor at duty free was a great suggestion. The drinks we bought at the bar were reasonably priced. On both islands, we had massages, and those prices were very reasonable too.

Unlimited shore diving at BLR is not really a huge advantage, since it's very dependent upon the tide and can be a bit challenging at low tide. That's OK, the "real" diving was fabulous. The only negative is the long boat rides, but since they leave at 8:00 each day, it's a good jump start, compared to other resorts we've been to.

We wish Fiji was closer..........we'd go often. I think it was the best vacation we ever had!

Blessings to you and yours....

Regards,

S. Boucher

LikuLiku is incredible, and the OWB sits right on top of a beautiful coral reef, really amazing. Thanks for everything, happy to provide you guys with a strong recommendation.

Best regards,

How are things? I came back to reality yesterday afternoon and I HATE it!!!! I tried calling you while we were still in Maui but I guess you were on vacation yourself. I just want to say on behalf of my wife and myself thank you so much for helping set up a great honeymoon. We had a blast. The Fairmont especially blew us away and the room was amazing. Thank you for the chocolate covered strawberries and champagne also, that was a very nice touch. I know I definitely was a huge pain in the axx but now I know for next time I don’t have to be with the thorough job you did. Thanks and Mahalo!!!!! Go Yankees!!!!

Just wanted to say thanks for all your help planning our trip to Hawaii. We had a really great time and everything was very smooth thanks to you. The new room ended up being great - I never emailed you back to let you know. But thanks again for taking care of it for us.

We will definitely recommend you to friends and family who are considering going to Hawaii.

Thanks again!

* The Moana Surfrider Waikiki was a great hotel, the room was small, but quaint, it was great being right on the water, the staff was wonderful. The only thing we didn't care for was the food, but I would certainly stay there again.
* The Fairmont Kea Lani on Maui simply blew us away. Really. We just could not get over how beautiful the place was, how amazingly friendly and helpful ALL of the staff were, how welcomed we felt, how at home we felt...we just could not get over that place and we are definitely planning to take our kiddos there when we return to Hawaii in a few years. Amazing!
* The Royal Hawaiian did not disappoint either. Not quite as impressive after coming from the Fairmont, but gosh, the staff was incredible (again!). The day we left HI, our checkout was at noon, but they took such good care of us, letting us hang out at the hotel, giving us a key to the suite so we could shower/change before our plane left. There were so very considerate. And the food??? The food at this hotel was our FAVORITE!! Everything was so fresh and flavorful. So delicious...we were very surprised. We only stayed one night, but we ate 3-4 meals there because we loved it so much.
* You booked cars via Alamo rental for us and they were wonderful, too. They helped us upgrade to fun cars and it was so pleasant dealing with them that we ended up going back to rent yet another car for our last few days on the island.

We did have a bike trip with Maui Downhill, but they had to cancel our trip. So no feedback on that.

Once again, we were so very glad we used McCoy Travel. I know our trip was a little complicated to plan out, but Sue, you did an incredible job putting it all together for us. Our 10th anniversary was truly something memorable!

The kid's club was the best one that my kids have ever been to because it was all about the kids. They made lot's of effort in planning amazing things for free for the kids to participate in. Activities such as scuba diving lessons, snorkeling, fishing seadoo rides. Our accommodations were beautiful. The 2 and 3 bedroom villa's were stunning and very clean.

All of the staff there were so friendly and very caring. When we left at least 6 staff members were there to say goodbye. We would highly recommend this resort and will be going back again this year!!
Flights were ok. Staff on Air France were just ok. We took a trip to Tahaa, the Island was beautiful. Resort was just ok. I hope that this information is helpful and thanks for all of your help.

Take care,

We had a wonderful time and the help that you provided on every aspect was greatly appreciated. Especially given that our scope changed a couple of times in the planning process! Thanks also for looking in to the flights to return Mary Lynn one day earlier which enabled us to take her to the airport just before her flight rather than having her wait around for 5 hours at the airport. Also thanks for checking on the flights to Calgary.

We really liked staying at the Palms of Wailea. My mother in law was delighted with her garden view condo. The garden view condo that we were initially placed in was pretty dated and we didn't care for the busy street that we looked out on. After the first night we moved to an ocean view condo (for an extra fee) and this was amazing. Gorgeous views of the ocean and whales. The condo was also more up to date and not tired-looking. We would definitely stay here again. The condo was extremely spacious especially after our travels in Europe!! The location was great with the beach being just a short drive away and great shops and restaurants (though pricey) at the Shops of Wailea. We also enjoyed the live entertainment there on Wednesday night.

I thought that groceries were very expensive but was advised to get a special temporary card at Foodland that gave me large savings. We also did a snorkel trip, Luau at the Marriott and did a short trip to the Botanical Garden, stopping at a golf course and having lunch at a Cafe o Lei on the way back (this was great).

Thanks for all that you did to make our holiday perfect,
Roxanne

We got back from our Fijian honeymoon a little over a month ago. We wanted to let you know that we had the most wonderful time! We stayed on the main island at Waidroka Surf and Dive Resort for the first 4 nights, and we completely fell in love with that place! It was a very unique and intimate resort, and we realized that as soon as the driver drove us up really steep dirt roads to get to the resort. The staff was all really nice, and we became good friends with them in no time. The staff also upgraded us to the honeymoon bure, which was really big and cute! Ryan got plenty of surfing in, and we both went scuba diving and snorkeling. It was all really great. Plus the food was soooo amazing! They served us 3 course meals every night! And we loved everything we ate! We really loved the whole atmosphere of the small resort and didn't want to leave. After our 4 nights, we traveled back to Denarau to take the Yasawa flyer to Nanuya. It was a long boat ride, but it was amazing to see almost every island in the Yasawa's. As soon as the boat stopped at Nanuya, we knew we made the right choice by choosing that island. It was surrounded with amazing blue waters, and the bures were all hidden in the trees. We got a warm welcome from the Fijian staff, and they showed us to our Oceanfront Bure, which was incredible. While at Nanuya we did a lot more laying on the beach than at Waidroka, but we were so content to just sit and stare at the clear waters. We also did the cave dives, went scuba diving and shark diving, and did lots of snorkeling. The scuba diving and shark diving were awesome! It was so fun to be so close to the sharks and big fish and the staff made us feel really comfortable. That was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. The dinners at Nanuya were also amazing! The dinners weren't included so we were planning on just splitting them every night, but after tasting the amazing crab on the first night, we decided we didn't want to share because it was so good!

Ryan and I did a lot of research on the different Fijian islands and resorts before we made our decision to go to Waidroka and Nanuya. We wanted to get lots of diving in, as well as some lounging on a beautiful beach. We were worried about the resorts that we picked only because we had to travel a little extra to get to them. But both resorts were worth the extra traveling and I couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon.

Please especially tell Lori thank you for helping us! She did such an amazing job at giving us any details on any resort we were interested in, and I knew that she wasn't just trying to make a sale. She was very patient with us, even though we had so many questions. She made everything very easy for us, and made us feel extremely comfortable.

Thank you again for everything and we will definitely let you know when we're ready to plan another vacation!
