We had a great time in Hawaii! We were in Honolulu for two days and visited Pearl Harbour. The tour was very interesting and enjoyable. We then traveled to Kaua'i for five days and loved it! Everything was so BEAUTIFUL! I never knew there were so many different shades of green! We took a helicopter tour with Blue Hawaiian Helicoptors. The views were awesome! It was a little rainy that day, but overall it was very nice. The Resort was our favorite part of our trip. We upgraded to an ocean view room and were so glad we did. The beach was just steps away from our room. We attended the luau there and loved every bit of it. The food and entertainment were both excellent.

We flew American Airlines. I guess the worst part was the return flight. We had two connections coming home and it was a very long day for us. We left Lihu'e at 10:00 PM and finally got home to Amarillo, Texas by 2:30 PM the next day. We would have loved a direct flight to Dallas and then just that short flight to Amarillo. That would have been so much better. Also, we had to pay for in-flight food. It was expensive and really not very good.

Anyway, thanks for an amazing trip! (Hiapo and Julie were both very helpful with arrangements.)

We had a wonderful time, everything worked out perfectly. I thought the Sydney Harbor hotel was in the perfect location for getting to the Circle Quay/Harbor and downtown events. The concierge was very helpful and the view of the Opera House was memorable. We took a trip to the Blue Mountains and had a great time. The bus tour was fun and the Bridge Climb is a "must do" in Sydney. Wildfire Restaurant in The Rocks was great and the The Quay Seafood Chinese Restaurant was surprisingly good.

In Cairns we took the Poseidon reef trip and I highly recommend it. The hotel there was great. We did have to hassle for king size beds. But it only took an hour and we ate while we waited so no big deal. We marveled at Fox Bats that landed in the hotel's trees, flipped upside down and crawled up and down the branches.
The Gold Coast is unrivalled. I have spent a lot of time at Destin, Florida and Gulf Shores, Alabama and though these were huge beach developments but they have nothing on the Gold Coast. The hotel there and the Ocean Premium Rooms were the best of the best.

Overall were would not change anything and the weather was wonderful. Australia is a fantastic place to visit.
Two recommendations. Consider having breakfast included in all room reservations. Breakfast is expensive in AU. We had the 45 dollar buffet included in the room charge at one hotel which was a good idea. Overall we would make no changes, had a great time, and highly recommend your service. My mom and her brother are traveling to AU and New Zealand in January. I will give you her contact info.

Hi Hiapo!

I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for the wonderful experience we had in Fiji with your arrangements. The Hotel was beautiful, all the pickups and transfers went perfectly and everyone was so helpful. Let's say my husband was very surprised because we had a lot of transferring and moving around to do.

We love Fiji - I fell in love with Naigani Island and we will definitely return. If someone is looking for the more primitive "Gilligan Island" style of Fiji, enjoys meeting people and making friends and wants a truly special experience meeting the Chief and people of the village - this is the place for them. And I must say, I really got into the whole Kava thing! :o)

The Extra bonus was we were the only divers so everyday was just us and the dive master - perfect!

Thank you so much for helping to make our experience stress free and well organized. I am so glad I found you!

Wow, what can we say, but all wonderful things of our recent trip to Fiji.
Mike booked us a fabulous Weddingmoon at two properties, and everything went extremely well. From Air/ground/water transport to the 2 week stay at both Lovely Resorts. What was there not to love about Fiji?

The First Resort was amazing: They were there to collect us when we landed in Taveuni (no waiting) and took us straight away to the water transport. Sia was there to greet us when we arrived and she did an incredible job with the orientation, and our wedding arrangements. We would definitely consider another visit there. The staff were all wonderful!

The second Resort: We had a wonderful up-grade to a Premium Vale, and what an incredible place to snorkel and spend our week honeymooning. We were both very sad to leave.

We haven't used the services of a travel agency in a very long time (generally book our own travels via Internet), but since this was such a special occasion, we decided to go the Fiji Experts: McCoy Travel. All booking arrangements were spot on. All email correspondence was answered very quickly and in a timely fashion. Mike did a fabulous job providing us with several resort options and choices, and the before and after the trip follow-up has been tremendous.

We have both worked in the service/travel industry, and McCoy gets top ratings from us!

We had an absolutely beautiful wedding and honeymoon in Fiji.

The day was perfect, made only more special by all the dramas with customs... and the staff in Fiji were fabulous having got to know us pretty well and what we were going through by the big day! I managed to hold back the tears and we got some stunning photographs, and the day was over all too quickly!! We then spent a couple of weeks cruising around the Yasawa Islands which was amazing. I'm sure we will return to Fiji one day, a good excuse to celebrate an anniversary out there!!!

So we've been in NZ almost 2 months now and we love it here. We've been north to Cape Reinga, and south to Waitomo, Taupo (where I did a bungy jump, excellent fun but never again!!) and now we are in Hawkes Bay which is really lovely, and warming up a lot now for summer!! We are going to Australia for xmas to meet my family in Perth, and when we return to NZ in January we are planning to head straight down to the South Island and look for work. We just got tickets to see Billy Connolly in Queenstown in February so we're quite excited about that!!

It's lovely to hear from you, I also enjoyed your email about your trip to Oz and the picture of you and your daughter on top of the Sydney Harbour bridge.

Sorry about not replying sooner but as you know we did elope to Fiji and it has been quite a ride since arriving back home and revealing the news to family and friends!

Well where do I start? Firstly I have to thank you once again for everything you managed to organize for us in the short time given. Your service, communication and just you in general was fantastic!

We did not know what to expect when we arrived in Fiji, being a country we had not visited before, but everything could not have been better! The arrival greeting by Rosies Travel service was a nice touch and truly made us feel special just stepping off the plane. The day room organized at Gateway Hotel for us was also great, the perfect touch after a flight, it allowed us to catch up on some sleep and also freshen up before our trip to Qamea resort. The Gateway Hotel also had beautiful garden views.

We were greeted first by Sia as we got off the light plane in Tavueni. She greeted us with open arms and Melissa straight away took to her. By the end of the trip she was Mama Sia! The trip to the boat was very colourful as well, looking out seeing the locals and seeing a different culture was fun. I have never in my life met such nice people! Everyone was always smiling and never ever too busy to stop for a chat or to give advice.

Now Qamea, well firstly there is no place like it in the whole world. This beautiful Island was the perfect setting for us to begin our new life together. The spectacular forest and exquisite gardens and beaches was exactly the place where we wanted to tie the knot. The beautiful bures that we stayed in were awesome. It gave a nice touch of traditional housing with all the modern creature comforts. And the service by all staff was fantastic. Everyone remembers your name and always greets you, it made the whole trip that more special. Also Qamea offered so many activities, from snorkeling, to Island hikes, scuba diving, kayaking, canoeing, the beautiful tree house spa was also so relaxing and everything was first class!
There were a lot of great people that we met on our trip, but there is always the few that manage to stand out. Firstly Mama Sia, the perfect wedding planner and just a lovely person with a great outlook in life. Nita and William the two brothers, Nita with his great nature and music skills was a delight to hang out with. And William well knows how to make the perfect drink and has a great sense of humor. A wonderful character and a great person to talk to and hang out with.
Next there was the band, hanging out every night listening to the tunes and songs all night was the perfect setting for us. We had managed to get quite close with the boys as well. Drinking Kava all night and even getting some lessons in playing instruments too!

Then came our special day, the day we became one and let me tell what a day it was. Staff arrived early at our bure and started dressing it up with wonderful flowers and plant leaves, it just looked awesome. I was kicked out of the bure so Melissa could get ready. So I ended up hanging out at the Chiefs Bure waiting for my bride to be to arrive. The other guests were around as we had befriended a few other couples during our stay, and were also getting excited and keeping my nerves down too.
Then came the moment, I was standing beneath two beautiful palm trees that had grown into a heart shape, with the Pacific behind me and soft waves crashing up against the shore. Then came Melissa and the warriors. She was carried in on a traditional Fijian Chair and her smile was breathtaking. The flower girl was the cutest little girl I saw on the whole Island too, as she lay flowers in front of the warriors as they carried Melissa towards me.
The entire ceremony was great, from William, who was the official camera man, Mama Sia our Photographer, and the other staff running around to ensure the day went as smooth as. To the band playing tunes during the ceremony, to the village choir singing in the background, everything was just perfect.
The rest of the day was spent sipping champagne and watching the awesome shows that were for us. The warriors doing the special Kava ceremony and then the village turning up and showing us the various Fijian traditions, songs and dances. It was more than we could have ever expected.

I could go on forever writing about our Fijian experience and what a wonderful trip it was. Though I don't want to give away too much as whoever gets to read this will have an experience they will never forget!

Once again Faye, thank you, thank you so much, if it wasn't for you none of this would have ever happened.

I've been meaning to write to express how wonderful our vacation experience in Kauai was. We most enjoyed the helicopter tour with Island Helicopters - it is a must see, the Zip Lining tour - despite my initial fear of ziplining, the experience was one I will carry with me forever and the Horseback ride at the Princeville Ranch - we were able to swim near a waterfall and actually slide down the rocks of the fall - that was unreal and utterly beautiful. Everything turned out beautifully and we will surely use your agency again for our future travel plans. Thank You!

We had the absolute BEST vacation we ever had in Maui. Really, I cannot say enough about your beautiful island---and Brenda had us all set up with great activities, we were busy-but not too busy. It was just perfect.
What a great Hotel! So pretty there, and everyone was really helpful and friendly. I have nothing 'not so good' to say---only great things.
It was really sweet of you to leave a card and gift for Jimmy's birthday-he thought that was great.

Jason and I had an amazing time in Maui - the accommodations at the Fairmont Kea Lani were wonderful (we LOVED our oceanfront suite, the grounds were beautiful and the breakfast buffet was awesome!), the soft-top Jeep was essential (had such a great time cruising around in that car!) and the flights went off without a hitch! Overall, the entire vacation exceeded any/all expectations - we had such a great time doing everything from zip lining to snorkeling to hiking to biking Mt. Haleakala to laying out on the beach in Pa'ia. Thank you so much for your assistance in helping us plan the honeymoon of our dreams!

Just thought I would give you some feedback on our stay on Big Island and Kauai.

Big Island was fantastic. We stayed at Kona Village which lived up to our expectations. The beach is not your typical pure white golden sand but actually covered with lots of volcanic rock. However, the seclusion, sea turtles and sailing more than made up for it. The accommodation was excellent as was the service. The food was always large in portion but not exceptional (breakfast was great but lunch and dinner were average/good).

Best features of big island were the drive up to the mountain with the space telescopes on it for sunset – really enjoyable but take lots of clothes. The visit to the area where the lava meets the sea was a bit of a disappointment as you are kept so far away that during the day all you get is a plume of smoke. At night, it becomes a bit more of a spectacle as you appreciate the glow of the volcano and actually see spurts of lava. If clients have the money, the helicopter trip was good value and I saw some people take boat trips close to the lave which was definitely the best seat in the house. The walk around Volcano national park was excellent and very cheap - €10 for a 5 day pass I think.

On Kauai, we did the Napali Coast kayak trip – 19 miles which was great although a tough day. Walking to some of the waterfalls in the Waimea canyon and on the Napali was also one of the highlights of our holiday.

Quick note to other tourists. While having a Jeep Wrangler is a lot of fun, it is also a pain when you have to manually put the roof on and off. There was also very little road in Kauai or Big Island (save the observatory) where it was required. If people want a 4 wheel drive – definitely go for something we an electric roof as the quickly changing weather can make the wrangler a pain sometimes.

On Maui, the Mendez Ranch is MUCH better than Ironwood for horseback riding.
Polynesian bus tours is a much better way to see the island and learn, compared to driving.
The Maui Resort was up to par.

All in all our trip went well!

Sorry I have been meaning to write back to you. We went to Queensland after Fiji so didn’t get back until the 14th. Yes we had a wonderful time and our expectations were exceeded.

The Radisson was a perfect stopover point especially for young families as they have a variety of pools, a washer / dryer in some of the rooms and a great kids menu. The food was very good too.

Vomo Island was excellent. The villa was amazing. It was really two villas – one with a parent’s room and lounge / kitchen and one with 2 bed and bathrooms. We had to stay in the 2 bed one with the kids as they are too far apart to hear children cry! So Nigel’s mother loved her sanctuary! The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The chef even organized a bbq at the villa for us one night. He is a kiwi and the food is very good. They had a Fijian night one night which I think is Thursday which is well worth staying for. The only thing I would say to people if they have kids is that it’s not as geared up as other resorts for kids. i.e. no special kids dinner. Dinner is at 7pm and if your kids eat before then they will bring it to your villa which is fine but not v. social! The island is a work in progress with more restaurant /bars and rooms to come. We loved it and would recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We loved the remote escape and came to view the Resort staff as family. Millie and her team took amazing care of us. The food was fantastic - I never thought I could eat so much lobster! The intimate setting also allowed us to make great friends from around the world. We are now happy to have friends in Moscow, New Zealand, Australia, and the UK. The visit to the school was a priceless experience. I loved the ability to do as much, or as little as we wanted! We sailed the Hobie Cat, took out glass-bottom kayaks, snorkeled, saw the Blue Lagoon caves and even learned to dive. We enjoyed a couple's massage overlooking the beach and I took full advantage of the Spa treatments. My favorite activity was the Private Picnic. There is nothing like knowing the only footprints on the beach are your own. As a language lover, I was thrilled that they gave us a new Fijian word to learn every day. We also enjoyed the Garden of the Sleeping Giant near Novotel.

Just We did have a wonderful trip to Maui. Two things stood out, we loved the location of the Resort on Maui. Of course, we would only recommend the upper floors and the best units, but in terms of location for what we wanted (laid back walks on beach, no high-rise resorts and close proximity to scuba diving) it was perfect!
We loved waking up and going to sleep listening to the waves.

The other thing was diving with Maren at Extended Horizons. She was super!! Of all 9 dives I did while on Maui, the dive with her stood head and shoulders about the rest. A big thumbs up! If you want a photo, she took some gorgeous ones while on our dive.

Not only was it the planning ahead of our trip, but the actual care we received from you while we were on Maui! We really felt like we had a personal concierge with us the entire trip!

When my family and friends ask us “how was our vacation”, I respond that it truly was a vacation of a lifetime. We loved our accommodations at the Alii. It was the perfect spot for our teenagers. I’m so glad you suggested it to us.

Bula Melissa!

This is our 3rd year in a row in Fiji.  What can I say?  It is the most magical place on earth for me and my family!  With an agent like Lori every place could be that!  She is by far the best travel agent I have worked with in the past 20 years.

This year we went back to Fiji Resort.  We feel this is our home away from home.  Everyone knew us and we feel at one with "the people".  The days seem to merge into another like a beautiful quilt.  The calm of the resort, the island breeze, and the amazing residents of Fiji beckon you.  There is never any stress (!) or pressure.  No t.v. or phone is an added bonus.

The best experience for us is always the sea plane.  This is an experience that everyone must enjoy at least once in their lifetime.  There is nothing like it!  A bit noisy at first but then it is like gliding.  Oh and the landing is as smooth as butter!

We hope that next year we will be fortunate enough to return to Fiji.  We can not get enough.  You can say we are addicted.  We try and spread the Fiji islands to everyone we come in contact with (whether they want to or not). So much so that this past August we brought 2 more families to discover Fiji.  They loved it so much they are too longing to return next year.

Finally, Lori is an amazing woman.  A travel agent with so much attention to detail. So patient (thank you Lori). So caring.  This is a rarity in our world today.  A world where everything is done on line and there is no contact with a "live" person. I am thankful each day that I "met" Lori.  A simple search on the internet 3 years ago led me to her.  She is the best "buy" I ever made on line.

I am so sorry for all the upgrades in the 11th hour.  The room was so nice, way more than I had expected, but I am so glad you know my taste and what we like.  It was nice being off the beaten path a bit, away from the crowds.  Although, it seemed like a ghost town to me, hardly any people anywhere.  I loved the two dollar kids meals at the KBC.  Wow, what a nice surprise.  We enjoyed every minute of it.  The boys loved the mini golf and went every day.  Everything was perfect for this trip, we didn't need a single thing else.  Thank you so much for all your attention to detail, for knowing us and our likes and for making it so special for us!  I'll call you again for next year!

Hello Michael,

We had a wonderful trip to London and Paris. The weather was perfect, not a single day of fog and only one evening with a few sprinkles of rain in London.  The boys had a really good time because there were lots of young ladies on this tour, unlike the tours we had been on previously.  These recent graduates were given the trip as a gift as well and with Josh and Allen being the only young males on the trip they were the object of attention which they adored. 

We enjoyed London much more than Paris.  I could have spent another week in London. We were fortunate the day we arrived in London the Queen had invited special guests for tea, these were people that had contributed to the country in some special way such as volunteering for a special cause or charity work of some kind.  When we stopped at Buckingham Palace there were lots of ladies and gentlemen dressed in their Sunday best to have tea with the Queen by special invitation.  What a treat!  We enjoyed having the boys experience afternoon tea at the Fortnum and Mason.  They even went along with tradition and ate a cucumber sandwich with their tea and held their pinky correctly!

When you compare London to Paris the people in London are much friendlier.  The attractions in London were maintained better and everything seemed cleaner.  I suppose the same language had a lot to do with my being partial to London as well.  We went to Abbey Road when we had free time and rode the Underground with ease.  The guys were able to roam about freely and mastered public transportation.

In Paris one of our highlights was to see the Mona Lisa at the Louvre Museum and of course the Eiffel Tower.  What a beautiful site at night with all the lights lit.

Our tour guide for this trip was fantastic.  His name was Dominic D’Orazi, he made the trip fun and he was very accommodating by helping us navigate to our desired sites on our free time.  He was very down to earth and friendly to everyone.  He always kept the tour fun and enjoyable (for all ages).

Overall the trip was fantastic, this is our third TAUCK tour and we have enjoyed them all.  Some of them have had better tour guides than others but all in all this was a winner.

Thanks Mike for your assistance on this trip we are already trying to decide what our next adventure will be.

Just wanted to thank you and McCoy for your help in choosing and booking Fiji as our honeymoon destination. Fiji is completely overwhelming – both in beauty and most of all, the Fijian people themselves. Comparing #1 (Mamanuca Island Resort) to #2 (Vanua Levu Fiji Resort) is difficult, as both differ in location and style. Overall, Resort #1 got our vote for beauty and Resort #2 for the incredible service. The food in both resorts was fabulous and the quality of accommodation was unique in the world. But, of course, it's the people who work at both resorts who make you feel part of the family as soon as you arrive.

I hope we'll get the opportunity to return one day as it's not THAT far. If Air Pacific introduces a fleet which has more legroom, that would be a plus.

As for the trip- we absolutely loved our time in Fiji, we are convinced that we were at the best of the best resorts!  The quality of the bures, the food, the view, the water... all were top notch and more than we had experienced anywhere before.  What makes the resort is most definitely the staff.  The Fijian's we interacted with at the resort knew our names by dinner (within 6 hours of arriving!), and not just our names, but we arrived with three other couples and they knew each and everyone of us!  Percy is a special staff member, one I know for a fact that all of the guests build a kinship with.

The food...good God the food!  We have never eaten so much fresh food in my life, and every time we turned around it seemed it was time to eat.  The manner in which
we are severed, the atmosphere, the presentation, and the quality are top notch each and every meal.

Our time was spent snorkeling, we snorkeled everyday except one (it rained).  Amanda and I went on the waterfall tour which is a must do for any couple!.  We were not able to get to the third fall because it had been raining the couple of days prior and during our tour and Percy said it was not safe.  We tried to bribe him to take us but to no avail!

Honeymoon beach was a great opportunity for us to get away and enjoy some time alone.  We did some snorkeling, ate lunch, read a bit, swam, and enjoyed our time together before Sam picked us up at the scheduled time.

I have included a picture of the new jungle spa, I am not sure if you have been to the resort recently enough to experience the new spa, it is gorgeous and an absolutely wonderful environment to let yourself go and relax.   We enjoyed our complimentary massage and Amanda returned for another treatment before we left. 

The village tour and church were great cultural experiences and interacting with the Fijian people gave both of us a much greater appreciation for the culture and the way they live...awesome experience that anyone who goes should attend- these two things are what help make the resort as great as it is!

I could go one for hours about our positive experience, and if it is in the cards we would certainly go back in the future. 

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!  We have compared stories with our friends who have recently honeymooned and we are more than confident that our experience was far superior and more than worth the few extra bucks.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. J. and I had a wonderful trip. She is a great traveler and was willing to try it all. Here's a brief summary of our experience.

The connections stopping in LA from the east coast is the way to go. It left a much shorter flight on the way to Maui.

I upgraded to a convertible and was able to negotiate a cheaper deal. That was great. We never put the top up. The accommodations at Maui Resort were nice. The room was good and the location for food and shopping were perfect. The diving was very good. We used Scuba Shack. They were terrific. Great equipment, excellent service.

We could not do the crater because of the diving. Perhaps that is the first thing one should plan then dive. We visited the Goat dairy and drove a bit but we were cooked from our morning and afternoon drives after diving. We did drive 'The Road to Hana." Highly recommended for lots of reasons. Don't let people scare them aware. Start early, take lots of time to visit. I would stay down there if I could. Truly paradise. Garden of Eden, falls, parrots, swimming, views. Amazing.

Yes we did a Luau. I suppose one has to do one. Long lines lots of people fair show, decent food.

The Big Island was fun. I wish we went there first. Its darkness compared the lushness of Maui is stark. The hotel was nice. We drove everywhere. Upgraded to convertible again.. Took helicopter ride into the live volcano. Over priced but worth it for a one time experience. We sunned at Coconut Island, a family park. Drove to the national park and museum. Went to Rainbow Falls, Boiling Pots and then ate at the most southern bar in US, Shakas.

Found 2 nice beaches, White Sands and a beach at Kona Bay. Did a night Manta dive, highly recommended. Cattle car but fun. Met nice people. For divers, find boats that cater to smaller groups.

Found a great taco place Killer Tacos near the boat ramp. Cheap and delicious. Food throughout trip was good. Best meal in Kona was at Hotel Don the Beachcombers. I was pleasantly surprised.

Thanks for all of your efforts. It was truly a great time for us. Best of luck to you. Perhaps I will plan another adventure for next year. I always wanted to dive Great Barrier Reef somewhere further in the Pacific.

Aloha!

Thank you for helping my family plan a wonderful trip to Maui.  Hertz was very helpful in changing our vehicle when we needed something a bit larger.  Thank you for the fruit plate at our first stop.  It was both a surprise and delicious!  The Wailea Resort did upgrade our party to being next door to each other with an ocean view, it was beautiful.  The second half of our trip was spent at Napili Resort and it is always beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing...it doesn't disappoint.  This is our second time staying here and when we walked in it felt like home and we all immediately relaxed.

It is hard to pick one favorite/worst experience.

Best Dining- Mama's Fish House. We made 2 reservations this trip and it was fabulous both times. Highly recommend the food, view, and making a reservation.

Best Mai Tai- Kimo's in Lahaina.  We took this very seriously and tasted a lot of Mai Tai's on the island. We also enjoyed the dinner.  Once again reservations came in very handy.

Best Breakfast- The Plantation in Kapalua and The Sea House in Napili.

Best Activity- Hard to pick one, we enjoyed everything we did. From the Scuba to snorkeling with turtles and spinner dolphin at Napili to the physical activities of the Ziplines in Haleakala, Kahoma Ranch Rhino Tour, and Hana Lava Tubes.  All were enjoyable activities and highly recommended. 

Overall, it was a great trip! Hiapo did a great job in helping us with our flight when Aloha went out of business and everything else fell into place, there were no surprises and no problems, which is great.
